Either way I think it fits the grimdark very well, and follows humanitys story well enough. @@MrWepx-hy6sn ??? What do you mean it’s not a thing? It’s just one of those plots that gw did and never fully finished. Doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist.
I love that there is every possibility that BOTH Alpha Legion primarchs are still alive, and the one that Dorn killed was actually just a random Alpha Legionnaire in replica armour. Fun fact, there is an Alpha Legion warband that is still fully loyal to the Emperor, and are specifically looking to find Omegon.
Pretty sure that Dorn got one of them. No idea which one, but I distinctly remember the other one knew his twin was dead because he, all of a sudden, quite literally felt like half the man he used to be. Like, he suddenly felt like a giant part of himself was gone forever and just knew that his brother was dead. Now, I’m more willing to be convinced that whoever Guilliman killed wasn’t actually the other Primarch, because we never see the Alpha Legion have any kind of trauma response like the other legions whose primarchs died. That said, if one of the Alpha Legion’s primarchs is still alive and still committed to “the plan”, you’d think the Legion would be a bit less fractured and constantly at war with itself, so maybe Bobby G actually did get the other one.
Warhammer Fantasy takes place inside the eye of terror. It is owned by Malice and is used to feed him by having all of the chaos factions fight the great game on it. Malice is the only one who directly benefits from the Great Game.
@@user-wt5dx7ox9nthat was during the End Times when some elves went to rescue Isha from Nurgle’s garden. And they run into what is described as a giant silver-clad warrior that shot fire from his hands. That was eventually revealed to be one of the first Stormcast Eternals though.
They started pulling away from those little crossover hints over time though til eventually they just stopped doing them altogether. I don't know if they've done any in Age of Sigmar.

YES YES YES! Leutin may be a massive source of knowledge for the 40k Universe but I could (and will) listen to lsyander's golden voice when he covers it all over Leutin any day. (Even through Koda's occaisionally Slaaneshi suffering worthy puns

I personally subscribe to the theory that the Emperor was a member of some DAoT equivalent to the Astartes, one of the oft’ mentioned, but little known Men of Gold created to combat the Men of Iron. I base this off of the statement by Malcador that Jimmy Space wasn’t The Emperor until he met Malcador. Perhaps there are dozens, maybe even hundreds of Emperor tier super soldiers floating in little Test Tubes, maybe even some being kept by the Shadowkeeper Custodes beneath the Palace, where some of the greatest threats to the Imperium are held. I mean, how Grimdark would it be if there were dozens of other beings psychically powerful enough to sit upon the Golden Throne without sacrificing a thousand souls every day; but they’re actively being concealed and ignored on Big E’s orders in some bid for supreme hegemony of Mankind.
The main problem with that is that if there were more Emperors around then the Dark Age of Technology wouldn’t be a ‘Dark’ Age. It would still be the Golden Age of Technology and the old empire would still be around. The whole Great Crusade was done just 19 primarchs and the Emperor alone. Forget the Men of Iron, if they had hundreds of Emperor-tier soldiers equipped with the Weapons of the DAoT then Humanity could have beaten the Birth of Slaanesh in it’s crib, the warp storms that caused the utter collapse of Humanity would have been suppressed. This, this just doesn’t make sense.
Also for the Blood Angels, Khorne hates Pykers but doesn’t feel the same way about seeing the future. So Sanguinius being able to see the future is a plus for Khorne as well
The Space Wolves also hate pykers, that's why they also have a feud with the Thosands Sins still and Russ was willing to kill Magus without hesitation. This theory they would go to Khorne does make sense with the wulfen mutation where they lose control because of a flaw in their gene-seed and just ravage everything and everyone.

Greetings from Germany! I'll definitely go with "sangi killed Horus", but I'll throw the lone guardsman in. The lone dude telling the person killing big e to get fucked was talking to Sanginius, and sangi killing him made the emperor realise that sangi is gone
The Astronomicon isn't part of the Golden Throne or powered by it. It still functioned when the Emperor led the Crusade, or was on Monarcia with Malcador at his side. It should function still without him. The Throne, on the other hand, is a broken Webway portal that the Emperor is holding shut. Thanks, Magnus! XD

big E becoming the 5th chaos god would actually be awesome. they were working together specifically to stop him..the horus heresy was designed to stop him, having ALL of it accidently lead to him becoming the very force the chaos gods wanted to stop would be awesome “A person often meets his destiny on the road he took to avoid it.” -Fontaine imagine the absolute insanity that the chaos gods created all this chaos to avoid big E becoming powerful...only for their power to be threatened less had they simply let humanity done it's thing technically it'd be a warp god, but given they feared him for whatever reason enough to go to THAT extreme to try and fight him it is very...very possible they feared he'd hit a similar level as them dude seems to hard counter them since demons and chaos tainted can't really mess where his psychic energy is strong without at best burns there are so many ways to play him being the literal enemy of chaos gods that it's kinda fun
The whole "Magnus did EVERYTHING wrong" line of reasoning kind of sidesteps the fact that he was the only primarch in constant psychic communication with the Emperor even before he was discovered physically, and then Big E pulled both the Edict of Nicaea and the Imperial Webway project blackout on him without even giving him a heads up first. Not to mention that he was the one person that Emps should have given the most basic of information about warp entities. "Daemons intelligent and BAD" would have sufficed, since he was still under the impression that the Warp was empty of all but basic animalistic emanations when Titsnitch got one over on him.
Anyone who petulantly states that he really did do lots wrong, to me that's a pretty quick indicator of bias, his crime was attempting to warn his father of the impending utter destruction of himself, his people, and everything he had worked toward for over 30,000 years, because the father in question lied to him despite utterly depending upon him.
Isyander: "if yo don't know what the Daemonculaba is, DON'T LOOK IT UP" Me: "Huh, I wonder what it is! I bet it's AWFUL" Me seconds into learning what it is: "Hey! I've seen this one before in a Japanese adult comic!"
I always believed that no they aren't in the same univers. They are Adjacent to each other. So one thing could very possibly end up in the other universe.
So, when Magnus broke the wards on the throne room webway to snitch to big E about Horus he let Daemons flood the webway, the Golden Throne and big E sitting on it is the only thing now holding back a massive Daemon incursion into the throne room on holy Terra. So unplugging daddy E to let him possibly respawn would also probably cause the loss of Holy Terra. Malcador sacrificed himself to sit on the throne and hold the daemons back while E and Horus threw down on Horus’s flagship. Malcador was the second most power psyker in the imperium behind big E and the strain of holding the throne turned him to dust.
Magnus was and is the second strongest discounting goldy old E, Malcador burnt out on the throne very quickly, Magnus was intended to power it in perpetuity
Ok so i am gonna just say this regarding 1:09:08. in the book Mechanicum it tells the tale of a lady called Dalia Cythera who travels to mars at the start of the divide between the Mechanicum and eventually ends up in a place called the Noctis Labyrinth which eventually leads into the holding cell of the dragon of mars and it's outright stated that the void dragon and the Dragon of mars are the same thing. It's also stated that what the emperor fought was not the void dragon itself but a shard of it. SHe is then tasked with keeping guard of it for a unknown time frame. If you want more details i suggest you read the book.
It's worth noting that the Library of Alexandria thing, the way that it's usually told, is....not really what happened. It was several events, and all the stuff in there also had copies elsewhere. I don't think we lost much of anything.

Your videos are just fucking amazing! You are now officialy the place I send my friends who are new to the hobby :) My question is, can do an Episode on the cursed 13th founding? There are so many cool space marine chapters in that one (Lamenters, Minotaurs, etc.) and in my opinion, it realy diversifies what a space marine can be if you only know the boys in blue :)
cool thing about fabius his labcoat is there isnt one fabius he needed to keep cloning himself because the genetic defect of the emperors children kept killing him theres thousands of fabiusses in the galaxy and all of them need a coat to look fancy so he has a planet where he batteryfarms people for their skin and while the emperors children fell to slaanesh, he never actually did hes obsessive in his research and uses some severe sense enhancing drugs in combat, but he mostly uses them on his enemys he doesnt use them on himself for pleasure or sensation hes the dealer for slaanesh, but he hasnt fallen himself
Erebus may not deserve his own episode, but a good tangent in someone else's so the fighting pit revenge section in an eventual kharn/world eaters episode can be as satisfying as it should be
I don't know how there hasnt been more iceberg videos in Warhammer considering the large scale of the topic but you guys have genuinely smashed it and love the vibes keep up the great work gonna be one of the greats
The regular Dude isn't actually unrealistic if he was Imperial Army. The Legions had the Imperial Army alongside them everywhere they went (not that the Army gets much attention for doing so). So the Blood Angels Legion most definitely had some Army Troopers kicked onboard alongside them. 42:08 I imagine Anathema's shtick would be Defiance or Courage. An example would be that moment when Private Hudson is fighting off Xenomorphs in Aliens right before he gets grabbed. He's *mega* screwed, but he's going down swinging, kicking and screaming. Every time someone furiously clings to life, refusing to die or rejects surrender and fights to the bitter end, that would feed Anathema. On the other hand, his downside would be stubbornness to the point of foolhardiness or insisting on doing it your way regardless of consequences. 43:33 Plus The Legion of the damned that only show after *ENORMOUS* amounts of blood have been shed and the remaining survivors *believe real hard* salvation will come for them. 1:10:58 My ideal would be the Dragon waking up and Big E somehow talking it around. Alternatively, it gets yeeted into the Warp and has a grand ole' time feasting on the excess of soul life in there. Essentially Angron, but for Chaos instead.
Yeah. Also important to mention that the imperial army in Terra was not any guardsman either, they were the Old Hundred units and Solar Auxilia, units that could take Space Marines in combat. If they could teleport imperial army soldiers into the Vengeful Spirit between the space marines, they would 10%
Please do the sisters of battle. It's not on the list but could you put ciaphas cain. I recently got in to warhammer and chose the Astra militarum as my army. I'd love to here your opinions on the accidental hero.

About the void dragon: his real name means eater of knowledge and when he is entombed beneath mars, that would explain why it takes 3 hours for a tech priest to replace a LED because they dont really know anymore what in that ritual is really fixing the problem.

Little do they know, he's leading them in the search
@@christophersteyer1469 He's actually leading a search party to kill the last people looking for him
@@BenTennothis is also a lie.
1:02:05 there was a lot more of this stuff on the Fantasy side, like Chainswords showing up in the chaos wastes or mad mages seeing the 40k universe.
Warhammer Fantasy takes place inside the eye of terror. It is owned by Malice and is used to feed him by having all of the chaos factions fight the great game on it. Malice is the only one who directly benefits from the Great Game.
Think i also heard kaldor draigo or another grey knight may have shown up in age of sigmar
I don't know if they've done any in Age of Sigmar.

i love the casual format you guys do, also the way isyander talks is a very unique and fun way of conveying how ridicolous some of those things are. Even tho i know most of the things already since i love warhammer lore, i catch myself relistening to the information anyways because you guys just make it fun. All that being said if the votes are still open i would love to recast mine for the assassinorum to be done.
YES YES YES! Leutin may be a massive source of knowledge for the 40k Universe but I could (and will) listen to lsyander's golden voice when he covers it all over Leutin any day. (Even through Koda's occaisionally Slaaneshi suffering worthy puns
My intro to 40k was through the dark heresy rpg books - so my loyalty will always be to the inquisition. That is my vote . Thanks for making my PhD writing a bit easier .
“The star child is what the Emperor sacrificed to kill Horus”
Well you called that
I personally subscribe to the theory that the Emperor was a member of some DAoT equivalent to the Astartes, one of the oft’ mentioned, but little known Men of Gold created to combat the Men of Iron.
@@cody180sx the wolf didn’t just go ham that willingly

Thank ypu because I believe I still would k ow the surface layer of 40k without your Channel. Please never stop if anything make more content when you guys are able to do this full time
Greetings from Germany!
XD

Something that people forget is that john grammaticus was there when pious died, and ran away. To his credit he gave the emperor his sword first
Bile might be of the emperors children, but I always thought he had the Mark of Chaos Undivided
Haven't finished the whole video, but to expand on Emps expecting the Heresy, there are also hints that the scattering of the baby primarchs was planned and that they were meant to be raised on their respective home worlds
siege of tarra books explains the scattering in the side plot story with john gramaticus and astarits woman who made them. she tossed them to the void cuss emps made her upset

During Wolfsbane Russ meets a warp entity which is supposed to be a part of him. The warp entity presents itself as a version of Russ if he had been raised on Terra. During their conversation it is stated that the primarchs were supposed to be raised on their individual planets.
The two topics aren't mutually exclusive. Erda, Gramaticus, and Astarte could have been both acting on their own will and conscious, and fulfilling a role intended for them

Well, it's a big lump of knobs, its got the juice. Can't imagine a more beautiful thing.
big E becoming the 5th chaos god would actually be awesome.
they were working together specifically to stop him..the horus heresy was designed to stop him, having ALL of it accidently lead to him becoming the very force the chaos gods wanted to stop would be awesome
“A person often meets his destiny on the road he took to avoid it.” -Fontaine
imagine the absolute insanity that the chaos gods created all this chaos to avoid big E becoming powerful...only for their power to be threatened less had they simply let humanity done it's thing
technically it'd be a warp god, but given they feared him for whatever reason enough to go to THAT extreme to try and fight him it is very...very possible they feared he'd hit a similar level as them
dude seems to hard counter them since demons and chaos tainted can't really mess where his psychic energy is strong without at best burns
there are so many ways to play him being the literal enemy of chaos gods that it's kinda fun
Please sisters! The sororities are actually the most hard-core faction bar none

Hahaha! That one guardsman literally went " Rush B, cyka blyat!" 🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣
40k lore, awesome! But I would love to see you guys do a darkest dungeon deep dive. Just something I think you guys would do great.
Love your stuff guys, keep up the amazing work
It's worth noting that the Library of Alexandria thing, the way that it's usually told, is....not really what happened. It was several events, and all the stuff in there also had copies elsewhere. I don't think we lost much of anything.
