    I watched LHPNs review on this kit, and I had to watch Suzies after. I agree with LHPN, her review was very balanced and truthful. This tutorial isnt doing justice for her product.Suzie looks like she is struggling to control the beads. NCE has a good information but this kit may need to be revised, like LHPN said, the monomer is the one playing up. Please take this as constructive critisism.

    Thank you for showing that even if the color is off, that can be buffed off during shaping. Thank you for explaining that the monomer can yellow if theres a lot of the monomer. This was the response I was waiting for. I'm a fan of LHPN and I hope that people will put away their pitchforks since Suzie addressed that it can look off color until its shaped. LHPN has been doing her own nails for a long time, so she does know what shes doing, but there were instructions with the product that I'm glad were addressed in this video.

      @@MilDarkAngel so true LHPN does beautiful work and doing you own hair and makeup is great if your good at it but when you expect to get paid for your services and work professionally you would know the difference in products especially with a low odor system. Always good to know what you work well with and what works for your clients.

    I left this as a reply to you but I want to leave it as a regular comment as well: LHPN purchased the products before you posted a video (as did a lot of other people) if this was a beginner package why didn’t it come with an instruction booklet explaining the dispersion layer? Why insinuate she’s to blame for using the product incorrectly when there was no video or instruction at the time she purchased? It’s easy to blame LHPN aka the customer but the fact of the matter is the company (aka you) sold a product, failed to provide proper information & instruction of said product then blamed the customer for not having the information you failed to provide. As a company selling a product you have to be open to criticism & you should be able to acknowledge when you’ve made a mistake, blaming the customer just isn’t the way to go.

      Im sorry things have gotten way out of hand. I did not call anyone “unprofessional”. I wouldn’t say that about anyone. In fact i didnt address lhpn specifically. I just heard someone was having difficulty with the l&p and i referred to a bead can do that if someone is having trouble with it. It doesnt come with Prep or Prime- bc it is a practice kit- to practice l&p before working on people- thats the concept behind my teaching method- so many apply product right to the nail which is not a good idea when first learning. I released it asap bc of the current world situation people were desperately seeking no odour- so we decided to release- there were instructions on the website as they purchased but i have improved since plus we made a video as fast as we could- i thanked lhpn for her review, it helped me be more clear in my marketing. Im saddened by those who are misquoting both of us. We are both doing our best😊

      Maria Giametta her kit didn’t come with an instruction booklet and she didn’t have a video at the time. making it hard for actual beginners to learn. she should have been able to take constructive criticism to make her products better. she also should have labeled it as *may yellow* . the bottle said non yellowing. it was false advertising.

We were only taught traditional, and to only ever do them traditional. Just keep going and remember that adding sparkle covers every mistake in any cosmetic application you are ever doing be it eyes, cheeks, a bad stitch, or a nail that isnt quite right! ☺
      My first couple tries were good on opposite hand but non dominant hand was a wreck! Made no sense. For me, it was messing with things too much. On my opposite hand I quit the nail before adding too much or filing too much. Once I figured that out, things got easier.
      Haha

      I really appreciate the detailed instruction and real-time application. So many videos glaze over important steps or details, don't give good tips and tricks along the way, and speed things up too much.
      Also, as you mentioned, the formal training and extensive real life experience shows. I'm not saying a technically 'amateur' artist can't be amazingly skilled and practiced but I see many who are obviously just winging it and can often give out some totally inaccurate information, which is frustrating.
      I started off watching Suzie's videos just for entertainment and relaxation. My extent of home nail enhancement experience (beyond regular polish) was glue-ons in the 90's and more recently doing gel polish myself.
      Then I decided to make a splurge and try acrylics again for the first time in almost 20yrs.
      Suzie's info and example helped me find a quality tech/artist I could trust. Fell in love and have had them for a year.
      Now with the current state of things I obviously can't get to my guy (I actually have to drive an hour to another state for a good tech!) so I am putting together the info from the gazillion NCE videos I have watched to start learning to do them myself for a while (at least just an overlay and fills to get me by... we'll see if I get good enough and have the time to keep doing my own or not once it is safe to see a pro again)

    In regards to the LHPN review, I think what made people mad was how Suzie came off when about how it turned yellow in her video. Some think she came off as being snobby I guess but to be fair people can misconstrue words over text versus real life. I'm fairly certain Eve didn't file the nail she did using Suzie's monomer so while it did look discolored it would have looked better after some filing. I did notice that even in this video Suzie's nail did still look a little discolored but to be honest, it could have everything to do with how her monomer is made. It could be a trade-off of being such a slow setting powder and personally, I'm totally fine with that since I'm a mad Holosexual (Shout out to Cristine!!) and I want to be able to extend my nails out for more holo goodness (My nails grow funny). I've just started using polygel but I would love to practice with acrylic once I get the funds to buy this set and the brush.

      But she should send instructions on what to do when it does happen in the kit. She didn’t do that. Evie used the products how she would just like I did and they still yellowed. Now on Instagram Suzie said to wash off the layer so I’ll try that but idk how that’s gonna work. I love the acrylic powders I just hope she makes a video on different ways to get rid of the yellow ness. She also shouldn’t have said it was nonyellowing if it is.

    Hi Suzie! ☺️have you heard of “slim nails technique” ? It is veeery popular in Romania, and I honestly don’t see any fuss about it in any other country. I would love to see you try it❤️it basically involves placing the form at an angle, so the end result of the nail is perfectly straight from cuticle to the tip (it has just a small apex near the cuticle). It gives the ilusion of thin, natural nails

    • @yarelivega6584
      @yarelivega6584 4 роки тому +3

      Wow, that's really interesting I'm not about the bulky apex lol. Are the nails more on the shorter side bc the apex is smaller? Or do they use a certain system that is harder than most acrylics so the nails won't break?

    OMG I love this kit. It is very very slow drying. It is so different from regular monomer. And you really do need the tiniest amount to do a whole set. I played with it for the first time yesterday and did a set on myself and filled my boss's nails since all the salons are closed right now and they were hanging on to dear life lol. She loved them.
    I'm still waiting for customer service to get back to me on my leaked monomer.

    Suzie bringing the quarantine content we all need! I’ve just started playing with Polygel and I really enjoy how much time I get to play with the product before curing it. Your slow curing monomer could be what I need to finally try out acrylic. Do you sell your kits in the UK? I wouldn’t trust anyone else’s brand!

    When you say low odor, how low? I work from home but home is a condo. I used to do acrylic but stopped when I moved into the condo. Can I resume my acrylic nails? I'm only doing gel at the moment because of the smell.

    • @NailCareerEducation
      @NailCareerEducation  4 роки тому +33

      Well honestly if u stick your nose practically inside the bottle you may smell a slight hint of product. But I’ll tell you Windex is so much stronger. My husband has a very strong sense of smell and he cannot smell it when I’m working with it. That is the nose I gauged it by because after all these years I can’t trust my nose when it comes to that smell

    Suzie! I just figured out something interesting! So I wondered why most sets of poly come with the dual form papers.. usually for sculpting with acrylic powder right?🤩so if you are about to fill-in a pop it and put on the dual form ALSO…you’ll perfect the under side of the pop it without having to manipulate underneath before curing!🤣that’s it!

    I think i have watched all your videos now, I love them. Your inlays are the best ive seen on youtube . I've always love doing nails and have been practicing over the last few months. This non smell sounds so awesome and i have just ordered this new starter kit and im so excited for it to come. After being in lockdown for over a month having something to look forward to spend my time doing is a real life saver! The price is amazing for the amount of stuff you get in the kit. I have spend so much on the cheaper really poor quality kits with half the amount of powder in those rubbish white containers. Id love to see a video on the comparison of different brand/off brand gel polishes. Thanks suzie

    I struggle with the cuticle area to get it flush. Sometimes the beads are too runny and sometimes too stiff..
    My acrylic is lifting there too after a few days and I’m stuck on what to do because I do use a acrylic primer for my natural nail.
    The acrylic ends up getting clunked up in my brush but I try to clean it as much as I can but as I continue my set the acrylic will sometimes refuse to come off the brush. I soak it in acetone to soften it up and remove but the problem still happens

    • @queenshelley7875
      @queenshelley7875 4 роки тому +1

      Sophia did you clean your brush completely when you first bought it? If you didn’t clean all the starch or glue whatever your brush hairs were coated with this will happen! I have had the same issue before and no matter what I did or how I cleaned it it kept happening. My advice is buy a new brush and clean it very well! Everyone has their own methods and there’s tons of videos on how to!!

    • @patriciagallacher6741
      @patriciagallacher6741 4 роки тому +2

      Acetone removes the coating hats on your bristles to stop it sticking, best thing to do is leave your brush in monomer and always use monomer to clean it. When applying acrylic once you apply the bead wipe your brush every single time and get into the habit of wiping your brush every few strokes. I buy my brushes from cjp they are brilliant still have the same one l started with, l tried monomer from amazon it's called EU PRO it gives you longer setting time 2 minutes and it's only around £ 8 for 100ml you can try that. But please only ever use acetone if desperate and only for a few minutes at most then get a cuticle pusher to gently scrape the acrylic off once a little softer. Try cjp brushes they have one for 16.99 and they are metal so long lasting. If l can help let me know and I will try my best. The website is cjp nail systems.

I can totally relate to it though as I tried doing my own acrylic nails a few years ago without watching you and learning from you. Mine back then we’re almost as bad and thick as Jenna’s. Now I can honestly say mine look pretty darn good and way better than they did back then. I am still learning and loving it . Thanks for the laughs and please keep posting your videos.
