    In light of the recent video from NCE and the bashing going on in the comments of that video I just want to say that
    I bought this kit with my own money and simply used it out of the box. I shouldn't have to do "research" on a product that clearly didn't come with any special instructions nor did she have a video on it at the time. If the product description said "super slow setting and leaves a yellow residue" then I would have included that in the video. I wasn't even upset about how slow it sets (even though I don't know how that would help beginners since it takes over 2 minutes to set which is waaaay to long) but I was more upset about the yellowing when the bottle says "non-yellowing". But hey I only give my opinion on how things work for me. Everyone is free to buy the kit and form their own opinion.
    And I saw the comments made by Suzie about me being "unprofessional" and having "lack of experience" but this is a beginner's kit. Wouldn't beginners have "lack of experience"?
    She also said I "broke the system" because I didn't use her primer. A primer that's not even out yet. Go figure 🙄.

      LongHairPrettyNails My biggest issue is that this is just not for a beginner. Beginners don’t want to spend $100 on something that they don’t know will work for them. I get slower drying, but 2 minutes is way too long. Would’ve made so many dents lmao. Comment were shitty too. I saw one that said you should’ve come to her to ask for advice or something, but is she going to do that with everyone?

      You gave a good honest opinion that's what counts I was very disappointed I've been watching you both trying to get up the nerve to do my own nails especially now, was considering getting her kit just because she said it was for beginners in her review video of her own product! But not for 100 and if I recall she breaks systems all the time! I applaud you for being honest! And you did give a good review! So I don't get it?

      All tea all shade she’s just bitter that her product is busted. Sorry but if you spend your time and energy bashing constructive critics instead of working to improve, you’re as garbage as your product. The nails you did looked bomb even though you used her jank ass kit. I’d call that pretty professional 👀

      I came back to watch this video because 1 I just love your videos 😂 and 2 I knew that in no way were yu rude or anything for her be so bitter about your review, I came back just listen one more time and yu were very honest not rude at all so I am just so confused by her reaction. I learned so much from yu both. I found yu first tho 🖤 but her reaction just left me with a ugly feeling, had to unsubscribe n unfollow. It sucks when someone takes constructive criticism to harshly.

    I agree with you I also bought the kit. Wasn't cheap but it was really slow setting. It actually was annoying. I understand Suzie came out with a faster monomer. I did love the size of the powder. I like the bottle off the monomer but you really had to work at getting it smooth.

    Mine yellowed also and I was very surprised. I even cleaned my brush super well just in case that had something to do with it but it still yellowed. Glad I'm not crazy and that I wasn't the only one who had the same problem.
    But I will admit that as soon as I got it I dove right in and didn't take the time to learn the ratio for the product and I noticed the more I got use to it the more I was able to get the ratio more and the yellowing lessened with those.

    This breaks my heart to heart Suzie was rude on here. I've seen her talk to Cardi Bs nail tech. Maybe it's the old school teachings. I like her videos. But now I'm thinking twice about relying on her for more than art. She does have s faster setting acrylic but I haven't seen her make much in gel. Not sure why. I think it's slow so you can fix mistakes. I would love to see her make nice with you. She really owes you now I think.

    When I first started watching nail videos I watched Suzie. I had no idea she put such a high price on her products. Her calling you "unprofessional" and having a "lack of experience" is wrong on so many levels. As we can tell, you've been doing this for quite some time and are beyond experienced. You did not make any rude comments, but you provided all of us with HONESTY. Just think, so many people would have paid top dollar for her products thinking they were going to be of the highest quality and would've had no clue about how the products reacted. Her comments were unprofessional and unnecessary. As a professional, she should've addressed your review with an explanation, apologized for the product not working out for you, or said that she would look into why this was happening. I'm pretty disappointed in Suzie.
    On a side note- I love your work and have been watching many of your videos in an attempt to learn how to do nails for my friend and I! Your nails are beautiful and I love how you explain everything step by step!

    I think Suzie purposely made the set to “cure” slowly because it is targeted for beginners. She constantly says that you have to move fast for acrylic, so maybe she did this on purpose so beginners had more time? I could be wrong. Plus, as you said, odorless monomers cause powders to set slower.
    I’ve read that odorless monomers have a yellowish tint that you’re supposed to file away... I don’t understand why it’s labeled as “non-yellowing” when it in fact yellows. That’s disappointing. 😕

      Nails By Diana B Honestly, I cant imagine working with acrylic that runny! I don’t understand how that’s supposed to be any easier. Sure, if you’re a beginner you don’t want it to set fast, but if you can’t even control where the acrylic is going, is that any better? Haha. It gave me anxiety just watching her work with it too! Haha. The smell of monomer doesn’t bother me; but I know some people are super sensitive to it. I’m not sure having odorless is worth all the hassle of filing away the yellowing and the dealing with the super liquidy consistency. 😳 I feel like you’d have to be an actual pro to be able to handle that mess. Goodness!

    In nail school we used odorless liquid for state board and it would leave a slight yellow tint and tacky residue but that was a layer that you had to file off so maybe try that and see if that helps

    • @757Princess
      @757Princess 4 роки тому +25

      Isaias Rivera I don’t get why we use Odorless. The tacky later is frustrating. We had to cap with nail glue. The top layer files off like sticky gum

    • @Viryzzii
      @Viryzzii 4 роки тому +41

      Olivia Ma'am I think the reason it’s used for the board is cause they do multiple testings a day at least that’s what my state does so maybe regular monomer would be too overwhelming for the proctors but I agree that odorless is the WORST , the slow drying time makes sculpting a nightmare and the sticky residue clogging up your files and not to mention how greasy it is

    I love that you're honest. Her unprofessionalism shows her integrity. In business you have to accept the positive and the negative, if she likes her stuff and her followers like it that should be all that matters.
    She's butt hurt and showing it loudly. Keep doing you , her followers will still follow her & we (your followers) still going to follow you. I can't believe she'd react like that truthfully smh. She's throwing any excuse she can. I use different brand products interchangeably also, bottom line is primer is primer (sorry should I say a GOOD primer , good acrylic etc) is going to do the same job . I know I’m very late to the party but I’m so disappointed 🤔 I’ve always known that Susie is acting heavily… she’s been called out a few times in much older videos for the way she speaks to her husband 😂🤦🏼‍♀️ She now watches how she speaks to him but now and again, you’ll get a flash of her attitude 😌😒 He’ll make an adorably dumb suggestion (that makes me smile, because he’s trying, but he’s got no idea about nails 😂🤦🏼‍♀️), and she’ll be snippy in quite a cold, hard voice before she can stop herself 😂 She then giggles and does her baby voice “me no likey” 😂
      But regardless, I always thought she might have just been a bit of a diva 😂🤦🏼‍♀️🤷‍♀️ I didn’t think there was more to it 🤔 Seeing the batshit crazy, personal way she took constructive criticism was so revealing 🙄 It makes sense why her husband is so soft spoken.
      This is why I have a problem with how UA-cam has created so many businesses: instead of it being strictly business aka. I don’t like a MAC lipstick, or a Target product, and it’s only a BRAND you’re criticising… now you have a PERSON, who has millions of adoring fans, and now everything is so bloody personal 😒🙄🤷‍♀️ You can’t even mildly criticise anything without it being about the person - their fans are like: I like that *person*, so anyone criticising their product is a “hater” and I must defend that person 🙄🤷‍♀️
      Business has stopped being professional. It’s a popularity contest. Jaclyn Hill is proof you can have car crash business practices and still make millions of dollars - as long as the fans still adore YOU, you can sell them anything 😂😭🤦🏼‍♀️

    This is an exact copy paste I did of Suzeis comment after searching through all 2.7k of them.
    Hi LHPN, its Suzie. Thank you for doing a review on my Acrylic Collection. Someone had ask me if i had seen the video, I replied that i had not. Then i answer their other question as not seeing the video. The comments were asking why so runny, i was explaining if one was to have issue with chasing the bead (not having seeing the video ) non odour products work differently if one doesnt have experience with it, could prove frustrating. This wasnt directed at you in particular. Honestly, this collection is designed to be a training kit for those who want to perfect their Liquid to Powder Ratio. Thats why it doesn't come with Primer or Forms yet. I choose it specifically because it sets very slow, for the beginner OR anyone who may have difficulty with acrylic in general. Its like training wheels on a bike, once you learn your balance you graduate and remove the training wheels. I apologize if you feel im judging you, i had not even seen the video i was just making a general comment on what i thought might be the first issue one could have. I release the product without primer and forms specifically because I wanted people to focus on my worksheet. It's important to learn how to create the correct ratio before applying to people. People are at all different levels of doing nails this collection was for level one. As for the yellowing issue on clear, it is not unlike hybrid gel with a clear just can't be as clear as gel or fast setting acrylic, because of the catalyst it needs to cure slowly, it tends to cloud. So it wasn't a bad batch it's just misunderstood. And maybe that's my fault as far as marketing goes which of course I am learning and I will get better. So thankyou for reviewing my collection and you have taught me something, and that is how to explain myself even better so people don't misunderstand. I am creating a faster setting monomer and as soon as it is ready I will send you one as I'm sure it'll make you much happier, you'll be able to work at the speed that you're used to. In the future lets talk one in one to avoid any confusion. Please reach out to me anytime.

    I feel like since this is a Starter Kit, the slow drying would be very helpful for someone who is learning! But I do understand that for someone who is experienced it might be frustrating.

      I think it's a bit too runny for beginners and they'll have to not only make the shape but also to make sure the acrylic won't drip down the form, so it's not really a beginner friendly kit and considering the price too XD

      @@willhemlourage She did make a video about this kit, I watched it. She mentioned that the monomer had to be wiped to prevent yellowing, that it doesn't come with primers because it's for practising & that it's purposefully slow setting which suits most beginners ✌

    @epowell4211 2 роки тому +4

    I've enjoyed a lot of Suzie's videos, but never could stand that she acts like an expert about everything even when trying stuff for the first time. She often doesn't seem to read/follow directions, or practice off screen. IDK how soon after launch you got her kit, but sounds like it was early, otherwise she would have heard a lot of complaints from other users. It's been nearly a decade since I tried doing acrylics, yet I remember the struggle clearly enough to feel your pain. If I'd tried that stuff back then, I would have thought I was doing something wrong. Were there any directions included in kit? She's supposedly all about educating people, so you'd think she would have thought of everything you'd need and include it. I'm wondering if she approved products separately then put them together for kit, without seeing how they work together. Like, the low odor monomer may work ok with regular acrylic, and you saw that powder worked ok with other monomer, but together they were pants.

  • @roguemenai1693

    Hey Evie, just wanna let you know that low odor/odorless monomers tend to yellow the polymers after they have dried. The reason regular monomers tend to be so strong, is because of the UV inhibitors they put in the formula. When making low odor/odorless monomer, they tend to remove that ingredient. UV inhibitors are in the violet range which cancels out yellows/prevents yellowing. Not that this situation is okay, just wanted to throw that out there. 🖤

    Can't believe she said you're unprofessional and have lack of experience. The slow dry acrylic is understandable for beginners. But the proof is in the puddin. You're showing us it was yellowing instantly not yellowing a week or 2 later. She obviously doesn't know that every color will not look the same on different colors of skin. She obviously made this for whyte people. Lighter skin she was trying to scam people hoping a whyte person wouldn't notice the yellowing because of our skin being light. She pretty much got this sh*t made from a cheap a$$ company and charges out the a$$ for it. I will not use anything until I've seen you use it. I do all ethnicities nails. I need my products to work on everyone not just one specific ethnicity. Ignore her, she's unprofessional for saying what she said about you.If she was professional she should be ok with constructive criticism and fixing her product. Not putting people down. Girl I'm mind blown it turned yellow that fast!

    I have this same acrylic kit and noticed my beads weren't as runny as yours. I did watch Suzie's video using this kit and saw that she used very little monomer on her brush when applying. The temperature in your room can affect how fast acrylic cures also. Suzie did design this kit to set slower for beginners and she does suggest running it under warm water for faster curring. But still, mine definitely didn't take as long as yours did to firm up, maybe you just got a bad batch. ua-cam.com/video/jEmiN90GrWw/v-deo.html
