@@WE__BTS I think he hears elements in her voice that signify that she isn’t tapping into her full power. Hence the word “potential”. She’s slightly afraid to go for it.

The nuances in some of the note just hits places I never thought could be hit. I honestly think this song is already so good you can’t make it better than the original because everything is already perfect but holy she hit some of the most satisfying notes without ruining the song.
Taking sharper notes than the original notes in some part of the chorus was a good call.
She’ll go far, her journey’s just beginning. Stunning.
There’s so many really talented singers this season but something about her has just drawn me to her music and voice, hoping she wins

I'm glad Gina made through she such a great singer with right mentoring from nial she can go far this season.
exactly the way i envisioned she would perform this song! effortlessly switching from falsetto to modal voice, and belting the second chorus out fully. her strengths are tone, style, and arrangement without a doubt. i just hope the moments towards the end where she has to switch to falsetto again at random places and changing her breath at random places do not necessarily reflect limitations on her range. with all that said, her tone, style, and arrangement will carry her far! congratulations on advancing!

Gina is one of my top 3 favs this season and I have this on replay it’s so good but I do sense a little bit of nerves , I hope she knows there’s nothing to be nervous abt thouu bc she sings SO GOOD she can shine so bright just needs her breakthrough moment and I know she’s gonna serve next round so excited really hope she makes it farther in the Comp😍😭

@@bbailey2466 YES! I was so happy when she sang Wicked Game and she killed it!! I just had a hunch that she's gonna sing it since she sang gotye's song in the knockouts. Her voice sounds angelic and haunting at the same time, wicked game surely fitted her style.

Absolutely! I think when you've watched literally 2 decades of these shows, you really get to learn and recognise the STAR/IT factor straight away. Some contestants that have great voices, but not individual style or artistry, become forgettable - but those with a clear style and message can easily create a following to have a good career

She has unique, controlled vibrato voice, a lovely alto character, but decorated with a bits of soprano.

She KILLED it!!! My favorite “voice” that this show has had in a long time (really since Maelyn Jarmon who won in 2019). Everyone equates singers who can belt high notes in Whitney-like fashion as being the best, but they are a dime a dozen compared to the unique tone and artistry that Gina puts out there with every song!

@@WE__BTS I said in a “whitney-like fashion”. So many singers trying to mimic their idols- like Mariah and Whitney- with whistle notes and belting in their chest voice instead of moving to falsetto- and fall horribly short. Gina has her own unique sound and I appreciate that.

I love the contestants that have amazing artistry - some of my favorite songs now, are actually the covers of the favorite song. A vocalist has to be exceptional, to really compete with some of the ones that might not have the strongest voice, but have great style, artistry and uniqueness

Gina is an amazing singer, she's got the depth and the emotion and she really doesn't deserve the hate. I think she is growing as a performer every time she sings. She has a lot of potential and a unique voice. This wasn't the best song choice but she still delivered. Rooting for her!

I'm heartbroken that Gina and Kate got paired together for the knockouts, but Gina deserves the win. I'm sad Kate didn't get a steal but Gina did a great job with this song.

@@anitabreakone I feel like vocally Gina did do better in the Knockouts than Kate did. However, Kate truly does have something special, whether it's her stage presence or the way she manages to turn well known songs into her own, and it's a shame that no one stole her. She's mesmerising to watch and all of her performances on the Voice have been proof of how talented she is. If it's any consolation she's releasing her own version of Call Me soon. Hopefully her career makes it far beyond the Voice.
