Wow! Im first! And my favorite topic! Eyeshadow! I will say I absolutely love Natasha Denona I Need A Nude palette and Colourpops Stone Cold Fox. Both big palettes and I love them. Also, I'll be 65 next month and I use a shimmer on my inner lid every day. It makes me happy. I use the primer for glitter on just my lids and it works. Love your channel, Risa!

Hi Risa I prefer smaller palettes because they are far less unwieldy to hold/use. I love my viseart palettes and the Dior backstage palettes- they are my most used palettes. I have palettes from ND and UD (as well as quite a few others😂), but I love the shimmer formula from viseart and dior as there is far less fallout and glitter in them. I like a shimmer on the lid and will use a duochrome etc, but I don’t like a ton of glitter falling down my face during the day (I do use a glitter primer btw). I have some crepey texture on my lids at 52 and this might be the reason for the fallout, but I don’t want expensive eyeshadow to do that tbh. Best wishes x

Those tiny Viseart palettes are great to carry in your purse. I have watery eyes at times and I often need to reapply eyeshadow to my outer v.

I really like the Sephora palettes. Some of the reviews say they aren't pigmented enough but I find that they are blendable.
I feel in the whole Sephora store- Sephora brand is the best. It’s so affordable and they also have great sales. The palettes are compact, mini, so so pigmented and lasts much longer than many high end products. I use lots of their products honestly and love them all. I highly recommend that brand and wish people spoke about it more
I totally agree! I use most of Sephora products which are so affordable and honestly works better than many high end products! I wish influencers spoke about it more. In the whole store I would say Sephora brand is my fav as it’s the best quality and affordable
@@Micolovescoffee I feel like a lot of people don't really give that brand a chance. I'm sure there are plenty of people who do but maybe there's a bit of a snobbery about it. I've come to love it. I have about 7 of their palettes. The most recent one I bought was the Precious Gemstones in Pearl. It is beautiful. 😍
Hi! I love the ND mini Glam palette. Yes, these minis are excellent.....until you want to play. I enjoy 12-15 pan palettes best.
I love neutral cool and warm tones too. Just a sucker for a neutral palette. I can wear both and I have some of those palettes that you showed. Love the ABA mini so much. And I have the bigger one too. 😬😂 Love that too faced one too. I got both of the mini palettes and the cool toned is my favorite one. You are right about the ND mini palette not showing up because I have medium tan skin but the one I love so much that does pack a punch is the mini my dream. I love that so much. I’ve found that although the larger palettes are beautiful, there are a lot of colors that go unused and are wasted because you stick to the colors you like and not use the rest. So smaller palettes seem more cost effective and simplified, like you said. Thank you for sharing your favorites!

Another great video! I’m so glad you mentioned Viseart. They are one of the OG brands that are so high quality. I think people forgot about them because they don’t market as much. Their mini mattes are a must have imho.

I have an older palette from Charlotte Tilbury and I still love it! The formula is so easy to work with. I love the pop color in there. I do apply it with my finger. Thank you sooo much for the time you put into this video Risa! Your recommendations are always the best for my skin type 🥰👍

I love the Urban Decay eyeshadows. I find them rich in colour and quality. The same with the Natasha Denona mini Glam palettes.
I've not tried the Viseart shadows,but I'm sorely tempted to invest in one.

Just as a side question. What tips and advice do you have for holiday make up? I find I pack the same make up whether we visit a cold or warm country. The warmer the country, I struggle keeping my make up from not sliding off my face! (I have dry skin).

LOVE my viseart mini palettes. Carry them all the time. Just the right blend of convenience, pigment, blendability, AND price. And not one of them has broken or popped out. Thanks for the suggestions. Looking at YSL 200 And 500 now. I’ll send my hubby your way when he sees the bill…. 😂

I have larger palettes, but I find I use mostly the same select colors. I find the smaller palettes more user friendly and geared toward the particular look I want. I signed up to be notified when the Viseart mini palette is back in stock. I am definitely drawn to purples/plums for my hazel green eyes, and I love a more cool-toned look.

Cold Smolder Nudes is perfect for work makeup then straight to HH. Just bought last week (from your recommendation) and wore all week and weekend. I love matte and shimmer as a topper and move on - more like a two and done.

That shade for the Anastasia palette broke on me too. It’s really messy, like a pressed glitter pigment. I just put tape over that shade and used the rest of it. It was still my favorite palette for a long time.
I love love love Mario’s master matte palette neutral. Even though it’s not a mini, it small enough to travel with easily. I can’t live without it.

I’ve done a few videos on my mom who has brown eyes. (I got my blue eyes from dad 😊)
The only pallette with that has ever bothered me was ABH Soft Glam (the original). Does it bother you? Maybe the Soft Glam 2 (mini) is a different formula??? I just love that color story.
I have even thought about giving that pallette to someone who isn't bothered by it, but I just can't part with it. It's so pretty!

Love this, Risa! I have one eyeshadow palette and that is the NakedII (Cool Toned) mini. Has everything I need and love and so easy to throw in travel bag. I was considering the TooFaced (cool) and the ND I Need A Dream mini ....but haven't purchased as yet. Try as a I have in the past, I can not do any kind of warm toned palette. I look tired and sick with any warm or red toned...so I stopped trying! I have a couple of shadow sticks and the Urban Decay palette and that's what works...so I'll just continue to go broke on blushes and lippies (of which you have influenced me on some of my FAVORITES in those categories... you never miss!) xoxo

I love all size of palettes. I reach more for midi and smaller palettes these days. I am 53 now and less interested in the huge palettrs. I will pull them out but not as much

Hi Risa! I live eyeshadows! I was ‘young’ 😂 in 90’ so I am too all about brown/neutral eyeshadows! I live them all!! Never enough of them! Big palettes do not scare me…for me it is about that I will never use some other colors…I like to change, experiment but I know what I like and it feels pity not to used all of them….

I recently decluttered my makeup collection. Got rid of a lot of palettes. I love them but I don’t wear eyeshadow as often as I used to. When I do, it’s almost always matte. Only big palette I kept is the Morphe cooled toned matte neutrals they released last year.

Remember the Natasha denona mini bloom highlighting blush? I’m pretty sure you were the one I saw use it in a video and I had to have it, lol…. Anyways, fenty is coming out with the blush lighter blushes…. Those new fenty blushes remind me of the ND mini Bloom blush; and Nars Orgasm & OrgasmX, dewpthroat, some of the pat McGrath blushes electric bloom and cosmic coral; the new Kosas blushes; the newish Essence blushes; Milani baked blushes; and of course Hourglass blushes!!!! I’m hoping to stay strong and skip the fenty blush lighters because I have so many other similar shades, and thanks to you I have the beautiful ND mini bloom!

Love your videos but can you hold the shadow palette still so we can look at the colors? You talk with your hands and the it’s hard to see. Thank you so much for all your advice on the different eye shadows. Your eyes look beautiful with those colors and shimmers.

Even though you say you have a neutral tone, I believe you have a cooler neutral tone. On video with your cool toned blond hair (roots)and eyebrows, I prefer the cool tones on you much better than the warmer ones, even if u have a slight tan. Xo
What you’re seeing are my gray roots. If you look at my video before this(filmed AFTER this one) my gray is covered with a warm blonde. I also use cool lighting in my studio as it reads better. My “season” is light spring, which is warm and light.
