P.S as a current GS 1250 Trophy owner, I kind of want to hate it, and say my bike's far better, but I'm secretly liking the sci-fi look of it and the less weight..
I am really amazed that ppl say this bike looks ugly ???! Wth.
i never liked the old models and never ever thought about buying one, but the new bike is really hitting all the marks, looks, practicality and power.
Can wait to see and ride one in person.

About what’s new: I hope the stamped steel frame is strong enough. And who wants less fuel capacity?
About the old items list still on the bike: The dash is dated, the GPS is hated, and the switches are not back lighted. And why is there not a DCT?
I’m glad it lost weight. That was part of why I still have my oil cooled R1200GSA. But the front looks like a V-strom now. Can’t say my initial impression is positive.
Great new design. Just wish s1000xr had 19inch option and off-road capability for pure performance adventure option to compete with 170hp multistrada. This new gs is finally approaching strong acceleration with 145hp. -ktm 1190

Claramente é uma moto voltada mais ao offroad que o modelo anterior... esse conjunto dianteiro é bem polêmico, no mínimo.

Motocikl je lijep osim cudnog prednjeg dijela, svjetala. Mislim da je cijeli koncept motocikla pogresno postavljen, projektant se trebao voditi cinjenicom koja populacija vozi predmetni motocikl i za sto ga uglavnom koristi. Znaci ljudi u ozbiljnojim godinama koji si takav motor mogu kupiti i u velikom postotku koji putuju sa suputnikom. Ovaj motocikl je namijenjen mladim ljudima koji ga koriste sami bez suputnika i cesto na off roadu. Mislim da je tu velika pogreska jer se GS u mslom postotku koristi uglavnom za off road a najvise za duga putovanja po asfaltnim cestama i u paru. Bojim se da ce dio dosadasnjih vozaca GSA traziti adekvatnu zamjenu za novi GS koji je izgubio dušu, premalen je, previse sportskog dizajna i uglavnom prilagoden malom broju onih koji ga koriste za off road.

V strom + Mt09 + BMW tech. And those people in the ads are like fairy tales 😂 99% of GS in my town are only found in pubs/coffee shops. GS becoming a new Harley competing with Goldwing.
You find them in the coffee shops more often, because they ride so much and like to have break every 4 or 6 hours riding.
@@szoe139I was a BMW offroad instructor 10 years ago. If you can ride 1300 like those in terrain like those, you have to be a pro-level rider. Even pros, without serious dirt experience, might struggle to ride like that during long-distance travel. GS is more for looks for most people. If you really want to travel just get RT or Goldwing.

Of course these are pros. Have you ever seen a commercial with amateur riders?
And of course an R 1250 GS is no light weight dirt bike. But if you don't forget that, the GS is an allrounder which is really very easy to handle off road, even for beginners.
You don't want to go off road?
Well , you don't have to. It's a great tourer, too and fun to ride in the twistys. You want to ride with up to 130mph?
Do it as long as you want.
...But after three hours I really need a coffee and after 370 miles I need a gasstation. 😉
@@szoe139Yeah. They promoted me, and then KTM asked me to be one of the execs. So I don’t deal with everyday sales bs anymore. Anyway, it’s a very capable bike, but... I’ll just stop here. Theoretically, the GS is the textbook example of how projecting a lifestyle for rich people/midlife crisis can make big money. Consumers like you made me to get here. Even internally, BMW GS puzzled me so many people. 1150... was what I expected but from 1200 late era, something magical happened and marketing bs surpassed HD level. Anyway keep buying. KTM will do 1390 soon, this market segment is really interesting and crazy.
