The chef knew what was up. Just calling it a Thinnie Thin was an immediate 8+. That pie was created with the sole intent of Dave coming through.

@@americannightmare2109 that was the funniest and only laugh out loud moment for me because it implies that the reason they should make pizza a certain way is because Dave Portnoy likes it that way. It’s wild to think someone should make a pizza a certain way because one person in the world likes it. In reality, he is just saying why HE wants them to make it that style. But that’s redundant, because we know if he wants that style, that means he likes it. So it’s just a classic, slightly misworded, inadvertently self-centered and redundant extra Dave comment. I really hope that helps.

If it ain't thin and crispy, you haven't got a pizza. Simple as, big boy. Neapolitan is an automatic 6.8 up, if even less. Nobody eats that stuff. @@ANPHKI I grew up in NJ and have lived in Mass... grew up eating good pizza not trash like Dave. I know a lot more about pizza than him, he doesn't even know the basic cheeses still on his favorite slice. He complains about parm being on pies (its ususally pecorino) when New Haven is only pecorino or parm reggiano usually and that's his favorite. NJ has 10x more pizza places that are 8.5+ or 9+ than CT, and has had thin pizza for 100 years here. I have family who own a pizza spot that is pretty famous and grew up around it too. Dave still doesn't even know what a Neapolitan is... and his taste in specifically thin crust pizza only is amateur hour. Granted, it is great that way and some of the best, to just discount any other style right away is because he has a palette that developed in Massachusetts. Its like people liking pineapple on pizza in Canada or the Midwest because they've never had a good slice.
Or pizzas that started off normal but sat under the heat lamp all day and dehydrated. Thinnie Thin. 8+

I'm all for thin crust pizza, but if you like it that thin, just get a flat bread. A lot of flavor comes from the dough, and you miss that when it's that thin

New Jersey historically has a very large population of people of Italian descent. If you've seen the HBO series _The Sopranos_ you know what I mean.

I live in that area, Angeloni's has great pizzas and that looks just like it. I will have to check it out when I get the chance. Angeloni's also have great garlic bread with cheese.

2 observations - This isn't even pizza anymore...it's certainly awesome, but that has never been the initial idea...this is flat salty sticks with tomato sauce...I'm sure i'd love it, but it's for snacking, you can't have this for dinner.
Second observation - awesome music in the first half of the vid, probably from the restaurant. Very nice.
