stopped by today, 01/20/24, and it was phenomenal pizza. customer service and great food= perfect combination.
Dude has been through probably the hardest time in his life. You can tell how genuinely appreciative he is. If you are in his area please go support his business, not only does the pizza look amazing and got an 8.5 from the prez, but he seems like a humble dude who deserves it.

I said in another reply that I can’t wait to try it especially living in CT a small state that is less than a 3 hr trip end to end. For a driver like me even less😂. I also said I’m so moved by the humbleness of this man that I might order a pizza and tell them to give it to the next customer who walks through the door… I truly want to help them in anyway I can. I’m not rich by any means at all, but instead of wasting money on something stupid for a week I could pay it forward to them and some lucky customer walking in

I've been friends with the owner for a long time . We've lost contact over the years and reconnected about 2 yrs ago and what he's gone through the last couple years makes this moment and video more amazing then you guys know. This is a hardworking humble grateful man who deserves this more than anyone
Man. I'll tell ya...while I don't doubt for a second he's gone through it. I'm sure he has... he looked extremely grateful. What I've gone through the past couple years has just about killed me too. My former girlfriend gave me HIV and of course I had no clue. Idk why im telling some stranger this on the internet. I really don't. But it's crippled my health. I've made a total of 500$ this year, and if it weren't for foodstamps, I'd starve probably. Again, idk why I'm telling you this. I guess I'm just so mad over it all and when people like this man, who own a business and have their health get so upset... but it could be so much worse too. Even for me I know. I'm just so tired of being broke and without bc I'm too sick to deal. Thanks for listening to me rant.

That is not honorable and I know that is not you. Just a thought to keep yourself and your own terrible things in life and check with you. Just went there today. The hype is real. Fantastic crust and as Dave says it gets better with each slice as it cools a bit.

What a great score for a great pizza family. Dave is a mensch. Love that he called Uber Debbie to keep in touch with her. We are seeing real and kind people here.
I have just recently started following, but I guarantee this right here is what makes it worth all the time and work Dave puts in. Owners that are struggling and really need that one break to come their way. I hope this puts his business over the top!

This is instantly one of my favourite reviews in quite a while. After a tough couple of years, this owner deserves a life-changing experience.
I am going through a lot right now in my life, so seeing this review really hit me hard which was unexpected. I completely know how the owner feels and to see him get a rainbow from Dave was what I needed, and gives me some hope. Great work, One Bite!

I went to this place today 8.5! Yes yes and yes if you live in CT support your local merchants, this owner is always there and yes he cares and it shows. It smells like pizza heaven in this place. Workers are super chill. I'm going back, I’m 20 minutes away…… I’m pumped
I watched this in Christian’s perspective while Dave was eating it like “Dad he took three bites…DAD HE ATE THE WHOLE PIECE…DAD HES HAVING A SECOND PIECE!!!” What a video, what an owner, the Uber Deb reference really rocked. Lived a town over from here my whole life and can’t wait to try this gem of a place!

This might be my favorite review. That guy was so genuine. After the army I worked in the food industry because I truly love to cook. I didn’t cook in the Army, I just loved too. So Dave thanks for helping people!

When the box opened, I let out an audible gasp. What an incredible looking pie. I gave it a 9.1 when that box opened, lol, but then there was some flop. Dave started to say, "I wish it..." and never finished. I think he was going to say that he wished it had more crisp, but he later said that it was "firming up" with each bite, so he didn't need to say whatever he was going to "wish" for. 8.5 is a Monster score, but just on initial box opening looks. that's one of the best pies I've seen. I hope this place gets absolutely mobbed from now on, they deserve it.

He definitely noticed the flop an without it would have been 8.8+ easily.
That pie comes out of a 900-1000 degree oven. It needs to sit for a minute. The heat creates so much steam in the box. Henceforth why it gets crispier after a minute... should have been an easy 9. Fuoco's pizza blows away Sally's and Pepe's in New Haven.

Im so happy that the owner got a monster score. You can tell by his energy that life has beat him down and he is a bit defeated, but this review should certainly rekindle that fire from within. And the pie? Easily one of the best looking ones in a while.
The very rare case where Dave takes a real good listen and doesn’t dictate the conversation. He’s usually in control but this story got to him, everybody knows the rules.

I drove 7 hours from Ontario to do a New Haven/CT pizza tour. This place was one of my last stops, and we were so full, but it still ended up being one of my favourites. Siding realize they had recently reopened...

Went there tonight for the first time ever because I couldn’t make it down to Elm City to Modern. Definitely was worthy of an 8.5 🤙 Even though it’s in the block radius of 3 other pizza places…by far the one worth going to. In the words of Arnold “I’ll be back.”🤙🍕❤️

Also, when you hit a 7 or higher you should always ask to see the oven. That shit is good content and cool to see different set ups… that idea is free lol. Good stuff
This was a great one. I love seeing people rewarded their ethic and hard work. That dude cared about his product and was appreciative in a truly genuine way. I wish we had more of that across the board in all business, service, food or whatever. Very classy and decent, Dave. I know the score was honest. It was everything else.

This man was so excited to see Dave, but he didnt wanna influence him with a story or anything before he got a score, he just handed him the pie, thanked him for coming, and told Dave to do his thing. Then when Dave came back and told him his score, thats when the man thanked him and give him the tour and history of his craft. I fucking love this man. He was so goddamned humble... You could tell this man felt like he had the world on his shoulders, and when Dave gave him the score, he felt like something was finally going right for him. Everyone should check out Fuoco Pizza!
