With only 20hr that is normal wear you have to remember your seating the rings and all the bearings. I do have to say I own the ISX 800 with the suspension seat and it's like driving a Cadillac across lawns they're just amazing machines nobody's ever experienced a Ferris mower you need to try to at least once you'll change her tune about the bumpy lawns. Awesome job man
Great video as always thanks again and your Wife has a wonderful video too like I said to your Wife God bless you and your family and your friends always stay safe and healthy.
Hi, your right, not only is it fun and comfortable to operate, it cuts great! Thanks for the Awesome video. I have a question, why are the hydraulic tanks empty? It only has 24hrs in it, last week they were where they are supposed to be, yesterday I washed it, and noticed it.
Commercial cutter here- Yes, you can over-grease the spindles on the caster arms. They say they leave the zerks out so you don't break them off, but if you know anyone inside the industry, you will learn that that is mostly BS. They leave them out and use the plug because most guys over-grease that area and end up either popping the top cap off right away, or worse, while they are mowing and then they don't notice it right away and lose it or run it over with the mower blades. They only need grease about once a year for HO use and not all that often in reality even for commercial use. I prefer Kaw oils in either 10W-40 or 20W-50 weight in my mowers. It is semi synthetic and has a lot of zinc in it for added protection.
Love Ferris stuff Tony. And you're right, maintenance is cheaper than parts! Thanks for posting. PS I have never owned a CAR never mind a mower with adjustable coilovers!!!
Tony, I have the same mower & believe I found all the zerk grease fittings. I counted 15 including the 2 plugs you replaced with zerks like you did. Can you verify the number of grease fittings you found so I know I've found them all? Also what spray lube are you using? FYI-I put yellow grease caps on all my zerk fittings to find them eaiser next time.
I’m very near buying that model. The problem is I’m 82 and not in the greatest of health. The dealer said he’d construct a device and attach it to the mower so I could grab hold of it while mounting the mower. He seemed very sincere. I’d hate to spend that much money only to kick the bucket after a summer or two.
I got a new SCAG this year. It's amazing. Overkill for a small property owner, but I wanted to reduce the amount of time I spend mowing and be more comfortable. And, most importantly, stop wasting time fixing my old mower when I should be mowing.
Honestly, this is completely Overkill for what we do but it should last us a lifetime. We mow about 5 acres every week. The ground is unkind at the farm.
Hey Tony - how much difference is there between the amount of threads showing on the right turnbuckle vs the left front? In order to get 4 inches in the front and 4 1/2 in the back the right front has almost 1/2 inch more thread showing and I think that is too much.
The spindles have grease bleed valve under the mowing deck on spinal put grease in the spinal till you see it come out this what they told me at the ferris shop you can Google it if you like.
I have a good understanding of the spindles. I was asking about the front wheel casters. I'm kind of afraid to over grease it. I don't see any grease weeping out, so I think if I keep going I might pop a seal.
I have had the is2100z for 7 years and it has been a great machine.

I’ve had my scag since 2014 with no issues, just do the routine maintenance. I’m like you Tony, I don’t mind mowing.
Hey, the video ended before the mowing was done, your right something about watching is relaxing.
Don't tell my wife. I have a blast mowing.
Beautiful mower, dam thing flys at the end 🤣
That's a very nice zero turn! Great step-by-step on the regular maintenance.
Thank you, my friend.
I was not aware those bolts were grease zerk place holders. Good info! Is700z
I ran across it in the manual.

Flying on the Ferris! 😊 Good job Tony! Thanks for sharing!
I keep telling you guys not to tell my wife how much I enjoy mowing. 😁

To this point, I haven't changed the shocks. I have often thought about setting to a lighter setting.
Hey Tony, that sure is one nice mower. Great video!👍🏻
It will last us a life time. We mow about 4.5 acres each week. I can do this in less than 2 hours as most of the area is wide open.
God bless you too Tony. That looks like fun, i'll be right over on the next plane, LoL. Bob. NZ
Let me get a bed made up, and I will put you to work! God Bless my friend.
Awesome stuff, as always, guys, sweet mower, that's for sure
We have a lot to mow at two locations. It is so much fun, but don't tell my wife.
Great video!
Glad you enjoyed it

Well live until you die have fun!!!!
you can't take it with you, so live it up!
With all due respect- why wouldn't you want to enjoy your money??
How do you like the head rest on the seat ?
Have you ever hit your head on it while your mowing on rough ground or around low limbs?
I have never thought about it, so I guess it is good. LOL! I really never thought about the headrest until your question.

I think you're gonna' need a bigger funnel... lol! Good video, thanks!
I have a Ferris isx 3300 just wondering how many total grease fittings are there on this machine? Thank you!
I have never counted them.
Had a cap blow off and hit me in the eye
i had a tym dealer tell me that the stihl zero turns are rebranded ferris's.
Yep
The spindles have grease bleed valve under the mowing deck on spinal put grease in the spinal till you see it come out this what they told me at the ferris shop you can Google it if you like.

@@TonysTractorAdventure You need to pop the top cap off when you put grease in the casters.
The grease overflow on the 3300 deck blade spindles is on top. Many others are on the bottom, but not the 3300.
When i grease the spindles grease comes out on the top side if the deck. Where does yours come out?
I only one put one pump of grease about every 8 hours. I have never had grease come out while pumping.
I got my first zero turn last summer sure wish I had one sooner. No it's not as nice as yours but it is fun as well.
I have always mowed with a tractor until last year. I had no idea what I was missing.
Maybe they should paint the area around those grease fittings with florescent green paint so call attention to them.
A good idea!
That thing is FAST!! Do that on our Kubota diesel ZTR and you won't have any teeth!
That Kubota is a nice rig. Got to respect the diesel.
Things got more grease fittings than my tractor 😮
It is a full commercial mower. I guess they need it to last like they do.
like tony god job
Piloting that thing you either need a helmet, seat belt or both…. 😳
I absolutely love my Ferris! It cut my mowing time by 3/4.
10:30 ish video with 1:30 of content. the 1:30 was good but please cut down the "overhead". JA
Thank you for your opinion
