Yes please do the toro grandstand demo and a video!!! I bought one this season as my main mower not because it’s a toro but because I have a great dealer and that’s their main mower product. I was going to get the scag but all the dealers in my area just don’t do people right anymore. I’d love to see your thoughts on the grandstand!
@@DOCREAL1118 Much appreciated brother!! I like the grandstand so far ,but as you say it’s not without issues either. Thanks for the congrats and looking forward to your review!! Y’all try to stay dry this week if your near NC!!
I'm on my second Kohler engine on my grandstand multiforce. Things I don't like - controls are heavy and take a while to get used to, I wish the discharge opening was larger, there are a lot of bolts underneath the deck which makes it incredibly hard to keep clean and collects a lot of wet grass.
Ive been in this bis. since 1997 , and iv'e ran all the major brands . the scag v ride 2 is hands down the best most productive machine I've ever ran. I'm running the 37 hp brigs EFI. 975 hrs on it not a lick of trouble . I love the spindle design with timpkin roller barrings that are greesable.
That's one heck of a career my friend. I agree, the spindles are second to none! I am going to try the BadBoy Revolt next season. I feel for the savings it would be a good buy and worth giving a shot to. Thanks for watching.
Appreciate your review. I ran scag/wright for years. Swapped to Deere and I have nearly zero downtime now. They cost a little more but they are also worth more when I trade/sell. Cheers!
Hey Doc, glad you guys are finally getting some rain, still waiting for some here in Omaha. Grabbed some big mulch jobs to make up for missed mowing since it’s so dry. I grabbed a John Deere 636M Quiktrak stander for all my yards since 95% have gated back yards and boy is that thing the bees knees. Racked up 50hrs so far and it’s a great little machine. Hoping to grab a 52 for year 2 in business depending on how many larger properties I can add. Keep up the great work and god bless. 👊🏻
Easy solution turn the bolt around, nut on the bottom. I change my blades between jobs sitting on the trailer “waist high”.19 year now, no matter what anybody says the blades have never came loose.that’s one reason I own 3 turf tigers.hope it helps.GOD bless
Scag is a damn good mower . I been having my turf tiger for 11 years and never let me down . The tweels , I think I’m gonna get some . This morning 4/9/24 cut my first place put it on the trailer and noticed leaning going to my next stop . Flat tire !!! Had to go buy a tire and go get new one mounted . Cost me an hour plus diesel driving and my time . I hope the tweels or worth it .
It definitely is a great mower. The tweels saved me from 4 flat tires and down time already in one season. Worth every penny. Don't have to check tire pressure, not to mention the yards are level all the time.
@@DOCREAL11182 things..Scag does not put zerk fittings on the front because they usually break off. The bolt design through the spindle is actually better for the consumer, the bolt takes more impact than the spindle if you hit something and other manufacturers use the same set up
I have always liked how the scag stripes. im at that catch 22 with brands my dealer is one of my fathers good friends so for me it's either gravely or cub cadet. I have like some of the wrights. but the dealer support for me is the key. im looking to probably get the prostance 48 next. for those bi weekly yards my little.32 is a beast get in and get out.

Great video Shane , Scag are great. I have a tiger cub 52 2004 with about 2000 -2100 hrs . 24 hp Honda and two newer Scags so I would say I like Scag . ❤️🙏
I have two of the v rides and love them but installed grease fittings on the casters and told my boy makes no sense for scag not to just install those lol but other than that love them
Just curious, have you ever thought about trying a Ferris stand on mower? The deck is extremely similar but they have some great comfort and additions that really make it a good choice. I am probably going to buy one after I am done with my vride 2. I like the vride but all of the grease points and the lack of ease of maintenance makes it a pain. I also think the deck lift doesn’t have enough support and the front wheels seem to catch on things a lot because they are too flat and aren’t round enough.
I have tried Ferris, too many grease points for my liking. Seems a bit over engineered but a very nice ride. Scag is super easy for me to work on but I am used to them 👊💯
You probably disown me. After this. But I have a John deer stand on 52" . It what I coukd afford 2 yrs ago. It had also 1000 hrs on and got it for 2800.00. I thought it was a go deal. But it does the job. And cuts good. Yes I hate when I feel bad for people trying to help. But I have learn my lesson as well. It my price that it. All on maintenance work as well. And yes Sunday my grand kids took to lunch and dinner. Have to hook up soon. Have a good week.
Ferris skips out on them caster spindle zerks to I had one mower get tight to spindle but I put zerk in and it smoothed out insane the lil corners these big company’s cut
