It always gets hotter inside a vehicle than outside. In fact, the temperature outside + 34 degrees = the temperature inside a vehicle after a half hour. Never subject a pet to that. After all, pets are family.

Here's an idea for the ending:
After Ted divorced Lauren, Ted started dating Amanda and together, they opened up their own vet and they even founded an organization for abused and neglected dogs.
As for Lauren, she was eventually fined $10,000, and convicted and sent to 1 year in jail for animal cruelty. She was even banned from ever keeping a pet of any kind. After she did her time, Ted wrote a memoir explaining about what Lauren did to his dog and how she turned out to be a gold digger. His memoir reached the media, and immediately, it got over a million views. Lauren's social media account was leaked and people began threatening her, calling her names such as "gold digger", "dog hater", "animal killer", "evil witch", etc. Lauren tried her best to ignore the media, but eventually, her address was also leaked, and within hours, thousands of angered people began showing up at her driveway and staged protests for several hours, threatening to kill her and burn her house down for what she did. The story also attracted the news and the story immediately became nationwide.
Ever since then, Lauren has been labeled a "gold digger who hates dogs and likes to kill them". Because of this, she was ousted and even blacklisted everywhere she went. Today, she is currently homeless with no one to comfort her. Ted and Amanda, on the other hand, are a huge success and they even started a family of their own. They're currently married, they have two sons, two daughters, and three dogs.

Imagine an alternate ending that after Ted and Lauren broke up, he started to see Amanda, the woman who saved his dog, and the two started to have feeling for each other. She was better than Lauren, she had job, generous to Ted, and kind to his dog. To the point that Ted and Amanda got engaged. As for Lauren, since she was unable to pay the $1000 fines, sentence to either 500 hours of community service or a year in jail.
What's really pathetic is that Ted was blinded by love. Lauren is basically a do nothing bimbo.

As a dog lover myself, I understand the importance and responsibilities of taking care of a dog in the most important ways… Physically and mentally.
Dogs are God’s creations like us and deserve lots of love and respect as much as humans.

Ted and Amanda set up not only a veterinarian, but a foundation for pets that were abused, neglected, and abandoned. Ted post his story online about his life with Lauren explaining how horrible she was to him and his dog. She was so lazy that she preferred to lay on the couch and won’t look for a job, she would abuse and neglect his dog, and spend his money on something trivial. His story was so popular all over Earth and it got hundreds of millions viewers from different countries like India, Japan, England, France, and Australia.
As for Lauren, she was arrested for animal cruelty and she was sentenced for a year in prison, received a fine and was not allowed to have a pet not even a goldfish for the rest of her life. A year after Ted’s story, Lauren is the most hated woman not only on the USA, but all over Earth as well. She was so hated that people want to kill her, they would post hateful messages on her social media post, hateful messages by mail, and they even show up on her property with protest signs with hateful words. Lauren lost everything and she became homeless a month later, so no one would ever comfort her. Few years later, Lauren can’t take it anymore being homeless, she walked to a bridge, jumped to the river and drowned and her body was never found again.

I can’t believe anyone would be so cruel to an innocent dog or any other pet. I know taking care of a pet is hard work, but bonding with an animal is rewarding and great for mental health. I should know, I’ve had goldfish, a cat, and currently have a really sweet dog. And I’ve looked after my sister’s dog and cats lots of times. It’s got its hard and disgusting parts (namely cleaning the litterbox and such), but still. Once you’ve bonded with an animal, they become not only your best friend, but part of your family too, and they’re worth the hard work it takes to make sure they’re healthy, happy, and loved 🥰 If I were asked to look after that adorable dog Bubu, I would not hesitate to give him lots of love and attention. I’d give him a nice scratching behind his ears, take him to the dog park, brush and bathe him, make sure he has lots of fresh water, maybe give him some sweet potatoes or apples as a treat (my dog loves them, plus they’re healthy for him). And of course, I’d talk to him lots (my dog also loves when I talk to him. He loves the attention)
