That happened to me too when I was a foreign exchange student I use to be bullied a lot and my brother was in the military and I came across from Vietnam and I was eating my food and my brother that I was staying with for the year and I was playing a game my mom was making one of my favorite meals the person I was staying came from school and the person I was staying with was about to beat me up and I got saved by the teacher he was grounded for 8 months my mom took his phone away and his Xbox his he made a promise to his mom that he would be nice to me he wanted to eat some of my food ❤❤❤

Yea I would always get weird looks for eating my Korean style dumplings that my umma would always pack me. I loved them. But after these girls were laughing at me and saying “WHAT IS THAT”?? I told my mom to never pack me that anymore. And in class when I open up my backpack to get my folder, I get scared that people might smell my kimchi and ridicule me. It’s hard sometimes. If only they knew how good our food actually is instead of just judging it by how it looks or smells lol
