That's because he has years upon years of experience and dedicated practice etc. He is very skilled, so of course, it's only natural for errors to stick out to him. Not to mention even with 2 people at the exact same skill level, a new perspective on a piece is super valuable and very hard to achieve just by yourself about your own work - since we spend hours creating them. Our brains adjust to the mistakes we made, but to somebody else, they may be obvious.
It's one reason why professional art colleges and such, they will have students share their works with each other and receive feedback/critiques.

Hello Sam, I don’t know if you will see this, but I would like to tell this. Your videos have inspired me so much as an artist, in a time where I was being very toxic to myself and other beginner and intermediate artists. Your art advice has changed my life, and it has given me the determination to go back and start again, to learn the fundamentals. That was something I would’ve never done a couple years ago, when I was still starting my art journey, because I wanted to jump directly into doing the things that were the most exciting for me like characters and complex designs. Now I have started from scratch (well, using some of the basic knowledge I had accumulated already) and I can already see the improvement. I am currently practicing perspective, from one to three vanishing points, and your art is what has kept me going. I hope I can get to your level one day.

I love doing this to my old art! Old pieces that somehow took me like 4-8 hours around 2018 I would quickly paint over them and improve them massively within 10 minutes :D

Not trying to bring back the kooleen incident or hate her, but I like how Sam doesn’t change the art style at all compared to kooleen who changes the whole entire drawing, I learned in under 12 minutes on how basic anatomy work from sam

Sam, thank you so much for your the videos you've made. Every time I watch one, I get motivated to go pick up my pen and start to draw. You've helped me so much with my art carrier and I've drawn some almost realistic pieces. Even though I'm very young I've drawn some things which most of adults can't draw. My parents are very supportive of me and all of this thanks to you. You are the best. Keep doing what you're doing ♥

some things that help me with cramps is anise tea it really helps but any hot drink should also work! and of course a heating pad around the area of pain and lay down n get comfy with blankets n chocolate, take care of yourself and drink plenty of water!!

This really helped me see how little changes help improve art. im trying to get into an art school to improve my art but its horrible my mother says i need training but do have a natural talent at art.. which personally i dont see.. but I do enjoy drawing im not sure if it was because of how much force my mother put into making me draw or that i naturally started enjoying the process. I was going to draw yesterday but hated every sketched that i literally erased it so many times, that i just gave up because when i cant do something i get angry and that leads to crying and wanting to pull my hair out. so i stopped. but today this opened my eyes and im gonna try doing some studies of poses, anatomy and proportions ! thank you sam and lots of love! 💕😊

the most impressive thing about this video is that he teaches a different art rule with every drawing he fixes, first is anatomy, then details, then shading, then lighting and complex lighting, then composition, then skull of enemy, and I don't think he he planned that

construction is important! measure your proportions and make your drawing make sense. this will help you understand form also, which will help with lighting. this is a great video 11/10 i especially loved the part where sam assumes we have abs to look at!
