Thanks for sharing this as I had always had trouble getting out of that pose going in was easy coming out not so Your words will be in my mind next time I do this pose
Thanks for this video. I just started an advanced Yoga class after having not done Yoga for several years. So this move was sprung on me in class and I did not attempt it. This will be a great tool in attempting it on my own time so I can be prepared in the next class. :)
When I 'flip the dog' the supporting arm and shoulder and elbow feels somehow twisted and strained, could you explain more about the alignment of the supporting arm? Should keep it exactly where it was as in my downdog? This is a fun sequence tho, thanks a lot :)

You probably figured it out by the time you read this. You want to externally rotate your shoulder and push the floor away. Another way to look at it is to have your inner elbow facing forward.
Nice variations to have fun! Thanks!
I will try this today to learn and to add in my routine stretches.
Thank you..pl add more hints on shoulders and tuck ins in these..so I dont injure myself when practicing .
A really lovely clear explanation thanks xx
Thank you. Could you also teach us how to land the hand on the mat after flipping the dog?
Love it! Trying it with my class :)
