My mom and I would play TJ&E a lot on the ol' Genesis (as well as Zombies Ate My Neighbors) and, since she passed away in 2013, little nostalgic things like this have always brought a big smile to my face (and a tear to my eye from time to time, I'll admit). I was beyond excited when the new game was announced (though my wallet was not as pleased), and I asked Greg if he could perhaps mention her in the credits as a backer name and he had no problem agreeing to the homage. The whole crew behind these games, and at HumaNature studios, are truly a class act.
I think this soundtrack works so well is that funk guitar is already inherently trebly and scratchy a lot of the time, so the awesome Genesis bass can really shine
To get a masterpiece like this out of an old MIDI board.....somebody bled from the eyeballs making this. Somebody loved vidya games more than sanity, more than sleep, more than life itself. Wherever they are now, I hope they got everything they ever wanted.

When you haven’t heard Gauntlett atomic runner master of monsters, Captain America, and The Avengers, and more. Those games don’t have any of the metallic sound that bad Mega Drive games are associated with.

I'll play this(and other game tunes) while I'm doing house chores. Backtrack to a month ago, I saw my one year old bouncing and humping the air in his crib when I was playing this soundtrack one day. Stopped what he was doing just to dance. Totally reminded of the boombox powerup in the game when the enemies instantly start dancing.
We need more of this around. I am glad to stumble across another person that captures from the system itself instead of relying on emulation. This particular game is one of the best games for the genesis. Well worth owning
@@KB-if8qu like emulation? There are a few quirks that are not 100% correct on particularly how fm synth drums and a few instruments are handled. At least to my ears it can sound a little different on an emulated system. There is nothing wrong with it though.

So many songs over the years, both old and new, and somehow I keep being reminded of the soundtrack to this game. And I don't mean obvious 80's hip-hop (Run DMC). I mean sometimes I'll hear a disco song, or something new that has similar bass lines.

I was playing this game with my wife. It is gem. They should make some coop game like this one. Truely underrated game. 90s SEGA was the most innovate game company, from the most state-of-art expensive arcades machines to home consumer.

I started playing Pizza Tower and the music in that game brought me right back to this gem. Maybe it's unintentional, but I find a lot in common with both OST at the point it made me feel quite nostalgic. Awesome games both of them
