Is that why all the saber heroes in 2005 bfs are clones of each other and why firefights consist of standing point blank in front of the enemy and shooting and hoping you don't go down first?
Galactic Conquest was the absolute best experience ive had in gaming. Nothing has touched it since, the couch coop created timeless memories. We cant wait to jump back in again

May I ask what that mode is like. I have actually never played the original BF games. I have played the latest BF game and it was a blast to play. Unfortunately my PS4 Disk drive died out on us at some point and we didn't want to buy a new one or get it repaired (would take a long time to get that done). So we waited till the PS5 was an option to buy.
I digress, sorry, but mainly I enjoyed the Hero modes (wel the way it was at first, the change they did for me wasn't a great one, mainly you get ganged up on and spawning back was horrible). the 2 player Hero mode was epic though, have fond memories.
If you could somewhat describe what that mode plays like, it might be a reason to buy the game for the Switch, which we also have. ^^
@@dachivale5319 GC has you moving around an almost board game type screen of planets, conquering one at a time through ground and space battles. you earn credits through victories and can use them to permanently upgrade your army with new infantry troops, force wielding characters like Vader and Luke, and even sabotage tactics like starting your enemies vehicles at low health. it's very satisfying to slowly conquer the galaxy one planet at a time

You have the RTS style of creating units and making decisions on the planet, leaving a fleet behind to defend. Upgrades for the faction and such.
Or having to destroy the enemy fleet in actual space battles that ‘you’ spawn in the hangar, pick a ship, fly over, LAND in the enemy hangar, go in, and destroy vital systems, engines, remote turrets, navigation computers. You can choose how to fight, and sometimes it comes down to what you have available, the clones can land a transport ship that acts as a spawn point. (Land that in the enemy hangar) have someone defend it, while you go and rampage through the ship. Then you can liberate a planet without the fleet’s reinforcements.
Planets have “planetary bonuses” which if you occupy them, are available to use in you battles. Another layer of detail that adds some variety, be it extra reinforcements, body shields, health regen, better blasters.
The whole progression through the campaign is amazing, and each faction feels different, has different tools and hero’s

-Better representation of the Clone Wars (Mace Windu, Ventress, Jango, Mustafar, Utapau, Coruscant, etc.)
-In map vehicles
-Better Instant Action
-More varied Hunt Mode
Battlefront 2017:
-A campaign that was actually original instead of just using repurposed maps
-Better player customizations (abilities, weapons, outfits)
-More unique hero movesets
-Better graphics
-More unique map design
-Galactic Assault
-Better Ewok Hunt mode
-Sequel Era characters and maps for those that enjoy that era

The only good thing about the 2017 battlefront is the graphics & storyMode that’s it but with the 2005 one it is superior in every way due to how much was included in its gameplay ability ✅.
Both games have their good things but for me 2017 is much better in general, even if it had the 2005 graphics and the 2005 the graphics of the 2017, i'd still prefer the 2017.

story mode in battlefront 2017 is garbage compare to storymode in battlefront 2005 when played as 501st legion aka Vader fist

2017 had better graphics, better game modes, better heroes, better story mode, better weapons, better balance etc.
the only thing 2005 did better was adding more content and that’s literally it.
brother let me tell ya i will never forget how immersed i felt on the 2017 bf2. especially the first few matches i ever played, i started back in 2019-20 ish and would get fried then play for hours. it was great
Not sure how 2017 bf2 is immersive when galactic conquest is just shove every hero from all eras into one mode. And even with supremacy, not all the possible heroes are even there. If anything the originals were more immersive.
Seriously cannot wait for this game, Experienced this game as a kid but never got to do any online multiplayer which is why this excites me the most!
While i agree with most your points. Especially on hero uniqueness ect, i do wanna say i think the heroes in OG are better in the power fantasy sense, at least force users are... They are Much faster and lightsaber swings hit much harder then in 2017.
In 2017 you can Enter a hallway of troopers and Youll prob kill most or all of them but youll be hurting and also Low on stamina from blocking shots ect and itll take a hot minute.
In The OG battlefronts As Any saber hero but ESPECIALLY Someone like Maul in the same scenario you will literally wipe out 20-30 troopers in seconds with hardly any damage done to ya and also Blocking and stamina worked so much better.
Heroes in 2005 felt like genuine monsters that turned the tide of battle tbh
2017 ya need multiple heroes on a team to really start enacting a positive change on the field tbh.
Also 2005 Game modes was better imho, just had more going for it and more content

i usually opt for the non-force users because i can keep my distance at least
@@originalSiiiN I mean I got good with Force users in New BF 1&2 and I can go on huge kill streaks with them but I can't deny the level of effort required in The new ones vs what was needed for same results in OG was night and day,
The new ones heroes all feel more unique and Authentic tho I can give it that... It ain't bad at all but That power fantasy and oomph isn't the same as the OG heroes man plus I feel the OG heroes just were more fun.
You get Luke In BF2 2017 And see 10 stormtroopers and you gotta block/deflect, hit and run tactics, force push and dodge and maneuver around followed by repulse and dash strikes and basic swings all while taking a good chunk of damage if your not on your A game leaving you to need to Resort to hit and run tactics to heal up.
In OG BF2 same scenario as Luke your just like... "Nah I'd win" and the 10 soldiers are Dead in literal seconds you just Slaughter them like Luke did those droids in Mando season 2 hallway scene lol

Yea but working on this and EA constantly getting involved with it's development. Is what made most of the dice team quit. I like the game but it legacy hurts!
Utapau, Mustafar and Mygeeto maps in BF2 2005 are epic! Very sad that we never get this maps in Battlefront 2 2017

The difference is we didn't have to wait for units and heroes for 2005. In 2017, we had lots of missing characters/units. Tbh 2005 was a core childhood memory. 2005 will always top the newer versions. Thats just me tho

One thing I will miss going back to classic bf2 is the clone commando unit, such a cool trooper from its design to their abilities

I pre-ordered this game MAINLY for nostalgia purposes. But, also, to play the first original Star Wars Battlefront. Because I never played it before, but, Star Wars Battlefront II from 2005 I have.

2005s multiplayer is very Aged not as In the gameplay but in the helth damage and pvp in general was not completely figured out so things like a constant ttk don’t exist

why do you switch shoulders so much in the newer game? I only have like 40 hours in that game so im still pretty new to it so am I just missing something??? It seems annoying to me
It's just a way of getting a better angle/line of sight on enemies, for example if you're heading around a corner to your left, switching to look over your left shoulder means you can see further around the corner, giving you more protection/cover but full visibility. It's definitely not *needed* or anything like that, but it absolutely helps!

The old classic Battlefront 2 had good choke points
2005 seemed better 9 times outta 10 but that's just me.
So I bought the game in the original version on xbox series s for 10 usd When nobody is talking about how you could use Anakin skywalker on yaven as a good guy
One of my issues with BF2 Classic is the choice of the B2 Super Battle Droid as the default assault units, instead of a regular B1. It never made sense to me that the B2s were the default. I think it would have been better off as a special unit in replacement of the megnaguard.
Last time I checked the B1s were always before the B2s in the Separatist army because they were bigger and stronger.
I always assumed it was war escalation and the Supers were the new primary with the B1s as support.

-Instant action has AI ally heroes and Villians which allows for Some cool situations in battles
-The Immersion and Detail factor is Extremely strong.
-Better customization.
BF2 2005 (OG)
-Better overall Gameplay
-Better Class Balance
-Maps had vehicles in them you could get in and out of
-AI squad mechanics
-Heroes Were FAR stronger and more fun to use then In 2017 despite not being as Unique
-battles felt more like Battles and less like Skirmishes in BF2 2017
-More Modes for Instant action and just better Instant action all around
-Better Campaign
-More Maps
-better space battles
-better heroes Vs Villians
-More Bots in Instant action then In BF2 2017 (on console BF2 2017 is 14Vs14 where as OG is 16Vs16 and Collection of OG will boost that to 32Vs32)
-XL mode (100+ bots in a battle, BF2 2017 has nothing near this scale. Currently only on PC version but will be on consoles for collection.)
-Galactic fucking conquest
-Split screen for Instant action so you and a buddy can enjoy the massive battles together where as in 2017 version Splitscreen doesnt exist for Instant action and only is there for Pathetic arcade mode.
-Better Sandbox type gameplay
Overall BF2 2005 the OG is far Superior to the New one in *Most* ways, however this doesnt change the fact that the new one is Very fun and good now and Also Is more Immersive.
BF2017 has its place in SW games as a Great SW game but it isnt on the same lvl as OG BF2 (tho id argue its definitely better then OG BF1 but in that same scenario OG BF1 is far far better then BF1 2015 despite lacking playable heroes which was the one thing aside from graphics 2015 did better then OG BF1)

BF2015 if i was to put a place for it is like Low B or High C tier lol game is fun but has hardly anything of value comparitivly.

As a player with 700 hours in Swbf2 2017, I am extremely hesitant and concerned about the longevity of this new soft-remaster coming out.
Games like Anthem and Diablo 4, where 3/4th's of the player base cliff drops shortly after release is what I suspect will happen here.

There are some textures in bf2 2017 that dont look good, go to yavin 4 and look at the giant staircase looking structure and you will see shockingly poor textures. Some others don't hold up well upon closer inspection as well.
