Your quilt is so beautiful. Your quilt is not wonky; it is eclectic. It creates a beautiful effect. The sidekicks is a great way to master FMQ. I have a Bernina 530B, but the throat is 7.5" So even with a stitch regulator, it is a bear to foist through the throat. I also installed a DIY quilt suspension system too, and that helps quite alot. I just bought a used Juki Kirei which has 12" of space. (not the same quality as a Bernina, but more features and better price point). But the extra space was most welcomed. My cutting table is a repurposed table that is higher that allows for standup cutting (which is more accurate and easier on one body) Your recommendation that folks do that is spot on.
