Funfact.. the Porsche 919 Hybrid Evo was not at it's limit. It could go faster, but the g forces in the corners would be too high for the driver.

@@Hasbert1988it's still slightly slower than the Mercedes W11 from 2020, so no, the g-forces were not the limit. It's a combination of twisty track and limits to human reaction time, even when anticipating each corner. The driver said so, 'you become the limitation'.

I'm old enough (unfortunately) to remember when Phil Hill set the first sub-9 minute lap, at the 'Ring in 1961. The Nordschleife was just over 14 miles around back then, and 8:57.8 was considered a phenomenal achievement.

@CarClique2000 it's a beautiful track ain't it mate I love it, these people that have these special lives that test these beautiful machines it really is something. I remember when the Pagani Zonda R was the lap holder at I think it was something like 7 and something but I may be wrong there it was a good while ago. Its been smashed now by Porche, watching that was really something, I can't remember the time now but I'm sure it was around 5:20 or something. Amazing. Anyway all the best mate and have good day.
Electric cars aren’t about saving the planet. Anyone who thinks that should do some research on how those batteries are made.
They are better for the environment (than gasoline/diesel), but that's not their only advantage
@@bloopbloop9687 have you seen the environmental effects of lithium mining. Not to mention the effects of the waste caused by the battery once it’s dead and can no longer carry a proper charge. Not mention the charging equipment and infrastructure needed for charging stations. The production one battery emits more carbon into the atmosphere than the entire life span of a gas/diesel powered car.
@pjbuma13 How long do you think the lifespan of a car is? After 50k miles, the electric car breaks even with an ICE equivalent assuming an ALL COAL electric grid, with a more efficient grid the break even point is going to be even lower. Is cobalt mining destructive? Yes. Is it as destructive as an ICE vehicle? Not by a long shot.
@bloopbloop9687 except you got it twisted. I only know km not miles and as far as I researched, at least 100.000km of green energy is needed to break even. And that is only considering the manufacturing of the cars themselves. Like the other guy said, infrastructure is where making a realistic break even point is hard.
But I do have to admit, for small cars making small trips (less than 10km at once) electric cars are more useful than ICE.
But the king is still E-Fuels combined with ICE. Tho there is still the issue of pollution from brake dust.

@@elijahprasad7884 it still unofficial released since that C8 Z06 was running on full tuned suspension and upgraded power steering , GM cares more about full stock form on lap times so theoretically MR didn’t lose to Z06 but actually it did , beside Z06 got driven by a Ferrari racer since most corvette racers are used on 6000~7000 RPM crossplane crank Vettes not 8600s and above , beside Z06 is just 458 but reverse engineered

The 919 evo was still not “all out”. They only had a small amount of time and weren’t able to spend as much as they would like. If they had no constraints it would be interesting

What's a Fiat 6 engine?
Flat six engine is an engine that porsches uses in for example the gt2rs (with turbos) and gt3rs (na) where you have 3 horizontally opposed cylinders on each sideof the crankshaft. It lowers the centre of gravity allowing for a sportiers driving style 🙌🏼

The Mercedes GTR RS is a Joke from Transmission Leaks to Turbos Buning or Warping the Engine. I have cousin who has nothing but trouble and cost too much...Even the LMP Mercedes had Turbo issues... Manufactres don't know Turbos get to be 1,875 degrees Fahrenheit or 1,222 degrees Celsius Thus, they warp the engines... so you can trade in the problems and expect you to return lol.
My 2022 Roush would Out perform in the Endurance Track with the Rev-Match Tremec 6 Speed Manual Transmission, MagneRide Dampeners, and Intercooled Limited Slip Rear Differential. Same Diferential as the GT500 👨🏻👍🏻🏎🏎🏁🏁🚩🚩🌲🌲⛰⛰
