This VW Touran 1.6 TDI, came to me with what the owner described as the wrong engine ECU installed...
Upon investigation, indeed the ECU was although the "correct" for the engine, it came out from a Passat with a manual gearbox, this Tiguan is a DSG...
So, what can we do to have it fixed?
Follow me on this video to find out what was the problem and how to resolve it.
Note: The coding I got from a forum, as mentioned in the video, ended up not being the correct one...
Although the ECU accepted the coding, a "P0610 Control Module Vehicle Options Error"....
So, I ended up having to manually code the module again using the IM608 and the guided/help coding options.

The im608 pro II has a much nicer interface, the live data is the same as your Maxi Sys too. I know it's an expensive upgrade but it is much better

Vag Can Pro can flash correct software. ODIS can but doesn't like wrong software to start.

Hello. What power supply do you use when working such work? Some of them are very expensive.
I don't use nothing fancy...
Just make sure all the electrical loads are off, and a 30amp charger/supply does the job...
I know is not the ideal set-up, but does the job for now...

My question to you "silly to ask" what do they mean "flash" the module, meaning install the standard setting from an original file?
I worked on a Polo GTi 1.4 TSI 2014 ecu which was damaged, the owner bought a used ecu but it was from a Skoda " which we don't have in South Africa" don't ask how he got it😂 but we couldn't use but it was the exact make and model, so I jst swopped the MCU and programmed two keys it, started my problem is the car before had the same issues as now with the new ECU, it's dtc are bank 1 knock sensor and misfire cylinder 1 EPC comes on, So some guys say FLASH module, does this mean I must obtain the original flash and install it to this ECU,

Flashing the module means that yes...
Is writing the data into the flash memory...
Usually referring to the original flash data...

Very strange. If it was adapted with Odis you would have thought they would have adapted the DSG etc. The eeprom can be locked again BTW (and unlocked without taking the back off) with the right equipment - why would you though. Can't have been cloned surely. Cloning flash and eeprom there would be no coding issues - it would just work. Maybe it was done by something Autel makes 🤣🤣🤣 Pretty sure you can't just put any coding byte string into the ECU, like you said, the ECU knows what coding bytes are allowed by the flash file it has in it. It must have originally been adapted with a clone Odis and unlike you they didn't have the right flash or didn't know they needed the right flash. Anyway, excellent job 👍

I do it with KT200 chinesse copy. Unlock ecu in flash via obd. Procedure is complicated but if you follow, work great. And i am using this tool and very satisfying with.

No... the MS908P only flashes BMW and Mercedes...
You use fake kess 2 :P
It looks kess 3 magic what previous guy made. He cloned only EEPROM part, where locates the VIN and IMMO and ignores the FLASH part. Kess 3 have such a fantastic thing, it can make virtual reading. It means if you do not have specific car FLASH, it will download it from internet and make virtually whole ECU. Reads only IMMO part. I am not 100% sure it downloads the micro from internet or from car...
Is not fake... it is very real, as it has done many jobs for me...😋
Kess 3 it is way too much money for what I use it for...
