Excellent video...thank you!!! I've been collecting Marklins for about 45 years, and I am still learning about--and enjoying--the company, and all the cool things it's done over the years. CHEERS!!!
I still have my set that I got for Chistmas in 1972. I added a few pieces now and then. We still set it up under the Chistmas tree every year. Brings back memories.
I was 13 years old back then and have catalouges, newsletters and Märklin Magasin 125 jahre still. We had something in Sweden called Märklin Train Club sweden. It was organized by Brio toys Sweden Who was the General agent in Sweden for Märklin. You receive a plastic card same size with a bankcard. There is a color picture of the Rc locomotive by a train station. With this membership you get 10% price off at all märklin store. The News letters and Märklin magasin arrived to your mailbox. So happy every time coming from school and find all these to reade for many years ahead.😊🤩
Ah yes, I saw the Train Masters card somewhere. If you have a scan of the swedish Märklin catalogues from the 1980s, I'd be interested 🙏 Thanks for the visit!
Superb job and thanks for sharing. I agree 1984 was indeed turning moment in company’s history! 125 Anniversary models are still highly regarded by Dreileiters around the world.Especially Classic SBB Krokodil…
We have been watching this a bit late but what wonderful overview and what a most exciting one for learning more of Märklin's history with a very inspiring catalogue triggering all imagination and love for the brand 🥰 Happy Merry December season and do have a lovely Xmas 🎄🎅🏻☃
Very interesting look at Märklin's history in 1984. Useful information and nice item comparisons. Thank you for this video! Peaceful Christmas and best regards, Dirk 👍🎅🙂
Great format and content. Märklin has its own history as a brand which has its interest for its own. Mmany thanks, keep on doing this kind of video, and merry christmas
Fantastic video! Thanks a lot. I wish you would do a video on the first appearance of digital by 1985, possibly in combination with the legendary first mega digital starter box the 2602
I am sure this will happen at some point, I want to get the 2602, but it is prone to reaching a price pushing it out of reach... Just a question of when...
Hi, beautiful and interesting video to the 125 anniversary of a great brand. Still I have a question , I got the Württemberg T5 out of a lot . I was wondering about that only one drive gear has a rubber, the other not . Besides of that the loco is running extraordinary fast so that i could not combine these loco with others in one electric circuit Merry Christmas and hope seeing more 3rd rail videos next year
I am assuming you mean rubber tires ("Haftreifen")? This loco needs 2. Yes, it is a fast little thing, fortunately, I have designed to block system so that speed differences don't cause trouble. Thanks for spending some of your time on the channel, have a good Christmas and New Year.
Very nice work have enjoyed your superb content this year looking forward to seeing your work next year have a good Christmas and all the best for the new year best wishes al 🤗🎅🎄☃️👍🍷🚂
I enjoyed watching the 1984 anniversary locomotives going around the layout. Does Br 44 loco number 3108 have a 3-pole or 5-pole motor ? and does it have a digital decoder ? Or is the motor analogue only ?
Excellent video...thank you!!!

I hear you. The Märklin catalogue of 1984 was my first. I love it and I still modell in that style, tracks in an abstract minimalistic landscape.

digitsl wasn't out in 84 -> 3 pole, analogue.
so the 3108 Br 44 has the normal electro-magnetic reverse??
nice Video 👍👍👍🚂🚃🚃🚃👍👍👍
Thanks for visiting
Hello,
I was wondering in what year did Marklin stop putting prices in their catalogues? All my 1960 years have prices listed. Thanks for your video.
Catalogue 69/70 I think
Does br44 have the normal elecrtomatic reverse??
I should have asked: does br44 model 3108 have the normal electro-magnetic reverse unit ?
the BR44 is a simplified version of the original 3047: simple reverser, no telex.
0:53 ist eine sehr durchdachte Modellbahnanlage,
👍
