    Great review. I own the Loco and the Luxx-enjoying both of them. The Mach 2 will be my next paddle once I go for another paddle.

      Sounds like you are a fan of control paddles! Will be interested to hear your take on how the Mach 2 Forza compares to the other two after you try it.

    I recently switched to the Mach 2 forza 16mm, and it’s funny because I came to that paddle from the bread and butter loco, then the luxx control air, and I think your comparisons to those were dead on. I’ve played one session with it, and like you said it takes some getting used to, but it feels so good, and it’s so fast in the hands. The adjustment I need to make is that I’m getting to the ball too fast, way quicker than I did the luxx, which is heavier also, and I’m knocking the hell out of the ball and launching it out.
    Great reviews.

      Haha that is so true! You definitely have to adjust your swing speed if you are used to a heavier feeling paddle, which is pretty much every other paddle, haha. Glad we had the same experience, and thanks for the support!

    Good review. I played with the filth for about a month then went to the m1 forza. Played that for over 4 months and now the m2 forza. The m2 forza is a sleeper paddle. The performance is just plain surprising. Don’t really notice the shortness of it. The luxx I just don’t like the way the paddle feels in my hand and painted on grit that wears out. The filth has a small sweet spot is my biggest knock on it. Volair doesn’t have many paddles coming back for delam or core crushing. My m1 forza hasn’t lost grit and hits just as good as since the day I got it

      I think I agree with your take on most of that! I would agree that the sweet spot on the filth is a little smaller, but a saving grace of that is that I felt when I hit shots off of the sweet spot, it wasn't as harsh of a punishment as some other paddles, like the onix premier pro or something, where if you hit off the sweet spot, that shot would be horrible, haha. I thought the filth was pretty amenable to some lead tape for stabilization, too. And I hate when paddles rely heavily on surface grit for feel and spin, and then wear out fast, like I hear about the Luxx... I haven't played with it long enough to experience myself, but that's what I've heard from other reports.

    Ive been using the loco a lot. If i decide on the 14mm m2f, will i lose a lot more power on my drives though? Am i in any way downgrading if i do this and just stick to loco?

    I have the Mach 2 very well balanced. Great paddle for serving.

      It's definitely an easy paddle to put topspin on serves with!

    I'm using M2 Forza with full lead tape at head and a bit at side. Works fine with me. Still feeling light weight, but IMO just good enough light weight range for me. Considering to put foam grip to handle.

      @PickleballMedicine  5 місяців тому

      Yeah there is definitely plenty of wiggle room to add lead tape.. that paddle is very light feeling, which is nice for customization!

    I’m waiting for my Mach 2 Forza to arrive and start playing with it. How do you think it compares to the 6.0 DBD?
    Have you or will you be reviewing the Honolulu J2K?
    Look forward to more reviews!

    • @PickleballMedicine
      @PickleballMedicine  4 місяці тому +1

      Yes, I for sure will! I should have a J2K headed in later this month.. it looks promising!
      As far as the M2F vs the DBD, I think the M2F is a bit lighter and more manuverable/quicker in the hands, but the DBD may have just a touch more plowthrough power because it has a bit more mass. A bit of lead tape should help with the power of the m2f if it's not enough for you.. there is certainly room for that with how light it is! But that maneuverability can't be beat.

    Great review! The almost-Carolina-blue color accents are a plus as well. 😁What is your current go-to paddle? How do the Mach 1&2 Forzas stack up to the 6.0 DBD? Go Heels! '91

    • @PickleballMedicine
      @PickleballMedicine  5 місяців тому

      Haha, funny enough.. the overgrip I use for the Mach 1 Forza was designed based on UNC colors and is officially called "UNC Blue", haha.. go heels!
      As for my go-to paddle... It changes quite a bit based on how I've been feeling and how often I'm able to play. I like to play with paddles with a strong pop, but if I don't play enough I lose my sense of touch, haha. I actually just played a tournament today with the Mach 1 Forza and I think ill be sticking to that for the next little while! Previously I was playing with the Engage Pursuit Pro MX, but I wasn't playing enough lately to be able to maintain my soft game with it!

    Thank you for your time and posting. Just not sure what my next paddle will be. I've had the GearBox Pro Elongated now for two months and it's not for me.

      I'd be happy to give you my two cents if you'd like... what didn't you like about the GearBox Pro, and what are you hoping to get from a paddle?

      @@PickleballMedicine Thank you for the reply. I'm a very good 4.0. It really is just too much power and pop with not a lot of control, which IMO, you have to develop. Some players are slower learners than others. :) Also, in rec play, it can be very, almost dangerous, when hit hard at someone below 4.5. The feel is good, I like the thinner paddle base, but not a lot of spin. What I am looking for? More control and a great amount of spin (one reason I am looking at this paddle). I serve with a slice and most of my hits are slices. I am ambidextrous as well so I don't want a long handle. I had the BJ JOOLA Perseus but the surface wore out quickly. I am also looking at the 6.0 Infinity and Zane's ProXR. :)

    • @PickleballMedicine
      @PickleballMedicine  5 місяців тому +1

      It sounds like the infinity DBD and the Mach 2 Forza are both great choices for you! Both have great control and spin, with the M2F being more maneuverable and a little more spin, and the Infinity DBD being a little more powerful.
