    The paddle grabs the ball like a tennis racquet with strings! I’ve tried the Joola Perseus and Selkirk Invicta, they don’t compare. I’m only able to hit my tennis topspin forehand over the net and in the court with this paddle! It’s a game changer!

      Right now I’m playing still and the Filth has been my main daily driver between testing paddles. Still love the R3P but I’m now starting to gravitate more towards low swing weight paddles as I am playing way more doubles

    Hey Will. My main paddle is the BnB Filth. I think that's also your main paddle as well. How does it compare to the Filth in terms of control, feel, and swing weight? Other comparisons would be great too.

    • @PickleballWill
      @PickleballWill  10 місяців тому +2

      It’s more poppy, has a little more feedback/vibrations, the control is similar, and the swing weight is less than the filth. It’s pretty similar to the R1 Pulsar but with more feedback and a bit more spin

    Hey Will. All of the brand's 30 day return policies are not the same. Volair is excellent. Use it as much as you want for a month and get a full refund. Ronbus and SixZero were the worst... No test drive at all. They have recently changed their policies so now you can return a used paddle and pay a restocking fee plus shipping. It would be helpful for us if you could mention those details in a paddle review. Some of these brands websites are pretty iffy and it takes some work to actually find the policy. Thx

      Hey, how about we have a race? I have the Forza 16 mm. You have the 14. Post here if/when either one bites the dust. This is my fifth hot molded paddle, with the other four going bad in a fairly short amount of time. I expect this one will be the same, but you can always hope.

Vatic, we still need to wait..but to other two, i havent seen any delamination in about 3 months of my use. Six Zero especially has come out of core crushing as well as delamination issues quite well...ROnbus also brought out it's NOVA to tackle these issues....so jury is out for that as well for some time atleast

    😅Great reviews. Curious if you have tried the Mach 2 Forza 14 mm or 16mm (thermoformed/wideboy). If so, would like your perspective even though I know you prefer elongated paddles.

    • @PickleballWill
      @PickleballWill  6 місяців тому +1

      They are both great. I prefer the 14mm Mach 2 Forza. It’s honestly not a huge change coming from an elongated paddle. If you rarely play singles I think that more standard shape is pretty awesome and I could easily switch to it. Handle is long enough for 2BH, spin is great, maneuverability also good

    • @PickleballWill
      @PickleballWill  10 місяців тому +2

      I would have gone with the 16mm version for additional touch and usually go with 16mm for touch but with that being said I haven't spent much time with the 14mm Forza at all. The Nova from Ronbus could be a good option if you really wanted to get more touch in your shots.

    • @PickleballWill
      @PickleballWill  10 місяців тому

      No real plans for the SLK Omega but I think that paddle is a great paddle to go for if you just have a tough time choosing. It's a paddle that will tell you if you like certain things about a paddle (ie need more power, more speed, more spin, if you want edgless, etc)

    are there any major differences between this curved edge shape and a standard elongated shape that has a more square face?

    • @PickleballWill
      @PickleballWill  10 місяців тому +1

      Not really in my opinion. There probably is but it’s pretty much negligible for 99% of players and you will not notice the difference

    Do you think if I add lead at the grip / lowest part of the paddle it will help control its power / luanchiness ?

    • @zmaust15
      @zmaust15 7 місяців тому

      I have 2g per inch lead tape running from about 1" above the grip to about 1" below the logo on the side. About 5" per strip. adds about .3oz to the paddle. The paddle weighs about 8.4oz total. I watched several pros set up their paddle's and most have it in that spot. Actually got the idea from a Ben Johns set up video so I figured why not try it. I feel like the paddle absorbs the ball more and rebounds off the face smoother. Dinks feel more smooth and controlled as well.

    Hey Will, I just thought of a topic you and Chris could chat about that I and some others would find interesting (if not just for a little bit). With all the controversy of paddle challenging recently, why are there such strict requirements on paddles. For instance other than dimensions essential, tennis rackets have very few regulations, you use what you hit best with even if it’s the most powerful racket ever, so why are things like delams or certain materials banned in pickleball.

    • @calebheimburger1063
      @calebheimburger1063 10 місяців тому

      Is it just to close the skill gap?

    • @PickleballWill
      @PickleballWill  10 місяців тому +2

      Can’t speak on how strict the tennis racket requirements are but tennis has been around for much longer while pickleball is still figuring things out. I would guess it has to do with skill gap and how the governing body wants the game to be played. We have touched on it before but maybe we will revisit it again soon. We still a long way from having something settled

      Hey this is the 16mm forza and the 16mm forza and 14mm DBD feel pretty similar to me. I would personally choose the Forza over the 14mm DBD mostly because of the full elongated shape. Although 14mm DBD feels more stable fresh out of the box

  • @EdisonShiFilm

    Hi Will, is it more or less powerful than the (single) BD of 6.0? Recently I ordered a new BD, I noticed that at contact, it has a hollower and shattered feedback... It's wasn't as solid as my older one. Maybe it's just an one off? I do like the stiffer and solid feel from the paddle.
