Electronic is a music project that - in the second half of the 80's - was created by: Bernard Sumner (vocalist, guitarist and keyboardist of New Order, ex-guitarist and ex-keyboardist of Joy Division) and Johnny Marr (ex-guitarist of The Smiths). Electronic has developed an original sound that combines elements of guitar and electronic music; alternative rock, synth-pop and house. The duo was supported by Neil Tennant (Pet Shop Boys) and his angelic voice 🤩😍 and Chris Lowe (Pet Shop Boys), who added (to at least 3 compositions) typical Pet Shop Boys sounds. 🤩😍 Karl Bartos (ex-Kraftwerk) collaborated with Electronic in the second half of the 90's...

You're F.O.S... Tennant & Lowe weren't.. until 1981 subsequently debuting with PLEASE in 1986. The collaboration, Electronic, wasn't.. until 1989 debuting ELECTRONIC in 1991. I don't know who you saw in the early eighties maybe ask your girlfriend, her memory might be a little less fictitious

I posted that comment as I lay in bed recovering from surgery for cancer. I am 68 years of age and 2 things have featured massively in my life, mountaineering and music. I have climbed some of the toughest mountains in the world and decent music has provided the soundtrack. PSB and subsequently Electronic have featured largely in my life.
I apologise for getting the timescale wrong but fear and morphine aren’t conducive to computing dates correctly.
I’m not “FOS” but at the time as I considered things that had been important to me I was full of trepidation for the future.
I have looked into your organisation and apparently you are closely connected to Pet Shop Boys, indeed Chris Lowe is your Company Secretary.

I'm a Pet Shop Boys since 1987 (Actually), but did not pay attention to Electronic. So, you could say I discovered this song this month, three decades after its release and I LOVE IT... This is what the kids must feel when they discover 80s and 90s songs that we grew up listening too. Neil Tennant + Bernie Sumner + Johny Marr, what can be better!

1990 the best year of my life!!! Don’t know why! Working in Aberdeen for BP on the falp project. Life was bliss! Fantastic people work was fun! Computers had not yet taken over! We had a great time at work, and planned trips out on the town! Life was fun, we did not think it would ever end! Oh to go back!!!😂😂😞

Barney’s synth melodies are so underrated. They’re one of the reasons for New Order’s success. Although he’s the singer, he doesn’t get the credit for the instrumentals. You can hear his influence here clearly.

Drinking game: take a shot every time you see a cliché of early 90s dance music videos. You'll be passed out before the second chorus.Seriously though, this video is the epitome of music videos of the period, you'd be forgiven for thinking it was a modern homage.
