Who is still listening to this masterpiece in 2024 after covid, social media, the death of good pop music and the world heading for a fall?
Electronic was, by far, the most successful of the "side-projects" by these artists. A "super-group"of sorts: Bernard Sumner of New Order and Joy Division, Neil Tennant of The Pet Shop Boys and Johnny Marr of The Smiths. There debut album is one of the most complete release from this time, truly a great act...
Joy Division

February 2024 vs 1980's..................no contest 80's everytime
The 80's weren't another time. They were another world!
I like it, but the main melodic hook 'All my life' is the same as as 'Love my way' by Psychedelic Furs. A song they would have all known. In the Smiths Morrissey always added in original melodies on top of Johnny's chords.
Neil Tennant vocals 🔥🔥🔥
One of best colabs ever
It was 1990 and I was wearing too much denim, riding in the back seat through winding Virginia mountains on a rainy day listening to this cassette on my Walkman staring out the window. I remember it because it was a definite moment in time and I had the whole future ahead of me. I loved this little project band. I bought this tape not knowing immediately how much it would mean to me.
Cant believe its not at a million views.... im responsible forat least 80thousand....
I love this guys more than they love me.
Such an amazing band and collaboration...great results...!!!
There is no way to disguise Bernard's voice. New Order Plus.
You know it’s a super band collection when you have Neil Tennant as back vocal.
When UK inspired me enough to go to London, but UK music pretty much ended around this time. Bernard's phrasing is top flight. Both these guys were real singers, unlike what we have today for male vocalists.
Neil was 35, Barney 33 and Johnny 26 when this was filmed. 68,66 & 59 respectively now.
Saw them open for Depeche Mode at Dodger Stadium 1990 complete with Neil Tenant!! Oh what a fabulous show!
I love how simple and beautiful song is.
damn..Manchester England was pumping out the talent back in the day lol
