  • I'd heard there was a good spot for filming trains at Logan that involved a bridge, but I really didn't know what to expect. When I saw the trestle crossing the Canadian river gorge, I was impressed. I was able to setup on the west side of the gorge and catch a train approach and then cross the bridge. The span on this bridge is not as long as the one crossing the Cimarron river, but it is about 20' taller.

Outstanding! What a location! I would love to get out west and get some footage like that. And those shadows falling off the bridge is an added bonus

Amazing... gives me goosebumps... I was there 3 years ago, and I also was waiting long hours to get a video like this, because as you said it is so impressive to hear and watch them cross the bridge. I got my brilliant video, but unfortunately lost it with a damn broken mobile harddrive on which I had saved it. Also had another exceptional one viewing from the bottom of the bridge... still remember when the train was coming and we ran back when we heard the train coming... we already were about leaving, tired of waiting :-). I'm from Germany, so it's not just a short trip to get back what I lost, but I think I will have to try and visit my friend there again one day. Thanks for sharing, I really enjoyed your video!

Thank you. I'd been to the bridge and took some photos but there were no trains. I got up the road about 3-4 miles and my scanner went off, so I turned around and hurried back to get that shot. The shadows were one of those unplanned accidents, but it does look cool.

@BNSF7776 Thanks Sylvester, it was a fun day - almost like being in another world and it was only a few hours drive from home.
