    On June 24th, 2012, an eastbound Z train collided with a westbound train carrying new cars about one mile east of Goodwell, Oklahoma. NTSB is investigating the accident and it's not for me to say what happened. Two engineers and one conductor died in the crash. One conductor was able to jump clear and suffered cuts and abrasions. My condolences to the families and friends of those who lost their lives.
    Information obtained from the Internet shows the following locomotives were destroyed in the crash:
    8542 SD70ACe Lead unit eastbound (new 2007)
    5482 AC45CCTE Gevo (2006)
    7914 ES44AC Gevo (2008)
    8692 SD70ACe lead unit westbound (new 8-2011)
    4855 SD70M (2000?)
