RAYE was held back by the record label and was basically the hired out voice. The fact that she wrote loads of songs for other artists such as Beyonce meant nothing. How any record label can justify sitting on the talent that she has needs to be shut down because they couldn't identify a star if they came up and hit them. Three phenomenal artists from the UK have all gone independent. REN, CHINCHILLA and now RAYE. Both Chinchilla and Raye are London girls. The Royal Albert Hall is known as the Holy Grail of venues by all musicians. The acoustics in the building are phenomenal. The whose who have all performed here. It's also where they hold The Proms and all the military concerts.
Crazy talent. I’m glad artists are finding they no longer need to rely on record companies. That’s a huge win for society. I think these artists are just the beginning. We’re gonna get to see a lot more talent than we would have otherwise.
