A short explanation. The lyrics makes no sense per se. The texts are taken from gold coins Brackeacts which was produced between the 4th century AD to 7-8th century AD in Germania and Scandinavia. They where mostly Western Roman gold coins brought home by warriors/traders in their contact with the western Roman Empire. They where flattened and upon them where inscribded runes and norse/germanic iconography. They where used as jewelry or on capes, the text could be a warding spell, a name, a tribute to a god, one found not far from where i live simply said "He was Odins man". Will Wood tends to have really good songs that discuss really bad things. This isn't a bad thing, but I am often left questioning whether or not I should be enjoying this, because on one hand, police violence is bad, but on the other hand, this is a bop.
