I think she earned the right to sing about this guy. She was dating him until one night, he drugged her drink and did ‘things’ to her. Try ‘Black Mascara’ for a little more about that. She then broke up with him.. and he cried these ‘Oscar Winning Tears’ and claimed it was unfair of her to break up with him.
Glad you enjoyed the song though. I’d suggest ‘Escapism’ music video. ❤ This is about the time in her life when she was still using drugs and sex to ‘escape’ from her distress. She’s clean now. But the song shows her in the depths of it.
