It they would just coil it with the bottom lip inward, it would make the process a whole lot easier. Because the curve would be natural as the bottom lip needs to be toward the bedding area and not turned in the opposite direction like it is how they roll it now. Why has no one thought of that?
I still can't tell where they are hammering in the stakes. One video the guy hammered the stakes into and through the bottom portion of the plastic edging into the grass side of the ground. I thought the purpose of the L-stakes whether plastic or metal is to hammer it on a slight angle from the bed side of the edging almost straight down but covering the tang of the bottom lip of the edging, not going through the edging itself.
@@judyl.761 A SOD cutting tool. It goes the perfect depth and slices through grass effortlessly better than a straight shooter or flat shovel if sharp. It's smaller than your standard rake/Shovel and probably lighter than one too.
Start by returning plastic edging. Next get real stone edging or do a natural edge. This stuff is just trashy and it suprises me people still use crap like this.
As I'm currently ripping out some of this stuff, I tend to agree. It lasts a couple of years and then it's just a mess. Here, the frost pushes it up, out of the ground, so most of mine are sitting on top of the ground. I might re-install it some of it, might rip it all out, not sure yet.
Way better than the 10 minute video I was watching I couldn’t read listen and watch pictures at the same time thanks for catering to smarter people
Simple and straightforward. More action and less talk! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Great clear simple video
Thanks!

Muchas gracias por la ayuda 👍
Mark, is there a way to lift a sunken edging? it's fifteen years old and has become flush with the yard.
You would pull on it and raise it - that’s it.
Good luck with that. I have this stuff buried 5 inches down. It belongs to the ages now.
Do I install landscape fabric under edging and trim before staking edging?
don't install landscape fabric, unless it is an area that you don't want anything to grow. like under a patio.
Master Mark, you should sponsor my garden 😁
Id love to know how and why every foot there seems to be a permanent Krispy type thing keeping it all rolled up
I wonder this as well. Then I realized that the holes created by the fasteners - are perfectly spaced for driving in the stakes to secure the edging🤓
Where can I buy the couplers in Santa Rosa, California? Friedman's In Santa Rosa and Petaluma don't carry them.
Home Depot
@@judyl.761 Thanks. I'll check there.
I'm hoping I can bury the top. Who wants a black hose lining all their landscaping? I just want to stop roots from spending.
Give that man sharper tools and a half moon. These are caveman tool techniques.
What is a half moon?

It is not that easy to uncoil that stuff 😂 I literally fought with it and had to have someone help me unroll it

Doesn’t look easy too much digging.
Lazy
Then get the no dig one that looks like shit and will last 1-2 years max.
@@dassix1636 These only last a couple of years.
