    Bought my first Lexus last year. Out of any car I've ever owned, I must say that the Lexus is the best-built car I've ever owned. The 3.5L 2GR-FE engine is just a pleasure to drive, smooth, balanced dependable power, and still gets great mileage. The quality of Japanese engineering and production really does (sadly) sit above most U.S.-made vehicles.

    I had a IS250 but found it too sedate and boring - no driver involvement - it was a great car reliable however and very comfortable was a 2008 model and according to the VIN its still on the road from the last owner. I would probably get a IS350, if they are still made... I sold my IS250 for a MB CL55 AMG (i know, I know) which turned out to be a money pit, so 1 month later I got another Japanese car a Subaru legacy 3.0 SpecB, again with a 6 cylinder NA and its a drivers car with a 6 speed manual so I still have it after 6 years. One of the cars I have bookmarked to replace my Subaru is the Lexus LS460, everyone needs a reliable V8 in their life.

  • @Buc_Stops_Here
    @Buc_Stops_Here 2 роки тому +1

    Note, the IS 250 has a transmission case that sits right under the driver's right leg. For some reason, the transaxle housing is so massive in the front of the car it reduces the leg room of the driver. It is weird and when I test drove it, the salesman informed me with the older design of that model that is what Toyota did. So it is very reliable, but very odd. Don't get a flooded car like Scotty has - those things are going to have electrical problems most likely in the near future. Surprised he likes the Volvo, they used to be great cars but have been hit and miss as of late. Don't buy the XC90 with the Yamaha engine, they are pretty terrible engines.
