Hey, I also know someone who tainted a jury pool somewhat like that! He's mute (but not deaf, so not a good enough reason to get out of jury duty on its own where he lives), and when asked if anyone couldn't be impartial, he raised his hand, was asked why, and the woman who could translate from sign language to english (standing next to the defendant's lawyer) didn't really think about being quiet when saying it (and she was inexperienced, she couldn't pay attention and speak at the same time, so she had to remember what he signed and then she'd say it when he stopped), so everyone could hear that they'd been longtime members of the same locally notorious gang some years ago, with the defendant being rather high ranked (with his own nickname that people would easily recognize). Oops.

Some in my class class told a similar story. He told the lawyers he couldn't be on the jury in this specific case but that he couldn't explain why he would be impartial. They kept pushing him and pushing him until my classmate snapped and shouted in front of all the confirmed and yet to be confirmed people that the accused girl had assaulted him at a bar once, stabbing him in the face with her highheel. As the case was about her assaulting he ex-boyfriend, he was removed and he had spoiled the entire jury pool. Whole class got a laugh out of it

I had a cop pull me over for speeding and possession. When I went to court he pulled me aside before our case, told me to plead guilty and he will give me a deal on it all. I told my Public Defender that he spoke to me and told me how to plead. his eyes got wide and once my case began, my public defender announced to the judge that the cop was coercing me and the judge threw my case out immediately 🥰🤣 the cops face when he looked at me was priceless 🥰
it took me longer to piss than I spent in court 🤣

I was a witness during a stabbing case. When i was asked to identify the stabber, I pointed to the man on trial. To my amusement and I'm sure his attorney's horror, he instantly jumped to his feet and lunged at me shouting he was going to stab me. He was eventually found not guilty but I still laugh whenever ri think around it
