Anyonene notice that at 00:54, George does the "intro" for Turning Japanese. Calm down...I know that the latter song wasn't released until approximately 13 years after this one. Just saying that whether anyone knew it or not, George performed the riff first. He invented it, you might say.
Are you implying that the musical phrase you're pointing out didn't otherwise appear at all until 1980? You should know that the riff in question has been around for so long that no one bothers to remember exactly how long. So I had to look it up. An inquiry on Wikipedia quickly tells me that the first documented use of the Oriental Riff was in 1847. That's a good 129 years before this recording so no, George Harrison is not the inventor, writer or in any way the originator of that musical phrase.
They could have had a 6 month break then got back together with a fresh outlook. Losing Brian Epstein upset their planning and thinking. In the end, it's a business partnership that needed strong management.
They went out at the top rather than a slow decline. That sound take the best songs of their solo albums and one can see them staying at the top till mull of kintyre circa 1980.
@@douglasb5046 I agree they could have rocked the 70's. Abbey Road in some ways shows musical growth, even after their arguments during the White Album sessions.
Me and my mate did better than this when we were only17 years old and were just learning to play guitars.. This is terrible...and so were we ha ha. This kind of stuff should be kept off UA-cam.
@@bahbaroni9955 I love the Beatles but this was obviously a very loose jam. No, it's neither good nor bad...I said that because I'd rather hear more 'completed/ early versions of songs than stuff like than this. This is scraping the barrel for recordings that were never really intended for release, they were really just for themselves, for reference to plunder for possible song ideas at a later point in time. weak...the BEATLES were /are the biggest ever!!! But they failed...due to egos and $$$$$ legal bs they ended..they could've done 3-5 more albums!!!!!!
Rudy Wilson don’t you think they’ve done enough?

Why only 3 to 5 albums? By your logic they should still be going like the Rolling Stones.
