The Beatles - Hot As Sun (1969) - 06 - Octopus's Garden

Not too far removed from the Abbey Road version, this rendition features the same vocal track over an alternate musical backing. (Vastly different versions of this song exist from January 1969, including George performing an unused middle verse he himself wrote, but all of these are fragmentary and could not be rearranged into a full performance.) Accept no substitutes - this is what many fans ...

The only performance of the song to stem from the January 1969 sessions, VERY heavily re-edited to create a seamless performance. (Originally, John had quite a bit of trouble and made numerous stops and mistakes - all of those have been removed here!) Moc hezké ❤❤
One after 909
unironically good
Wonderful song.
Neil Innes was such a genius!!
Sounds like something Dylan might have done during the Self Portrait sessions, which took place late 1969 / early 1970.
'Lonely-Phobia' is an excellent song, along with 'I love you' and 'she left you' really catchie great songs.
Great edit on Fresh Wound.
I've got a feeling, feeling deep inside oh yeah
Exactly what I always think! Glad I'm not alone!
Beautiful
Very cool!
(This is Tom, not Sandra.) Has anyone, on here, ever seen the MonaLisa Twins cover of this tune on UA-cam? It's a very neat, and a little bizarre video clip. Hope you enjoy their version. Type in MonaLisa Twins just like this on UA-cam with the title of this tune. It will come up instantly. Enjoy!!! The guy playing "Maxwell" in the clip is the Twins' Father, in case you want to know.
(This is Tom, not Sandra.) Was this LP supposed to replace "The Beatles Again" LP in 1970 or what? The original LP version of "Don't Let Me Down" sounds a lot getter than this one. Why is Yoko pictured with them still? SHE WAS NOT AND STILL IS NOT A BEATLE!!!!! She needs to get over herself!!!
You forgot “Nevertheless” from Stig.
The "fictitious" lost album Rolling Stone mentioned in 1969 wasn't fictitious at all, it was called Let It Be and was released the following year. They had recorded it in '69 but shelved it and released Abbey Road that year instead. That's what Rolling Stone was referring to.
Thanks kewkabe Et Al.🙂 ...i won't impinge upon Your Honor by suggesting "Sources": i imagine yours better, them; does smart nose away shiny in that race?😁
@@lumpy0100 Are you asking me for a source that "Let It Be" project was done in 1969?
Nice picture, ruined by Yoko.
She was in the band more than u
She never was in the Beatles. Only wished to be.
HA!!!
Mary Jane was getting old. What's the new Mary Jane?
That photo ! .... I'm sure John wanted Yoko in the band....
Awesome. 1:07 McCartney album.
they were a brilliant parody of the best band the world will ever see
From the album "Beatles Anthology 3" Day 6068. 2 x 2 z 37 x 41. All my urine and distilled water til 2.30pm then dried figs and green grapes then more urine then fresh fruit and vegetables at 11.00pm. No change.
Are you sure this isn't the Pete best combo?
So catchy.
Todo es bueno, con estos, mis ídolos.
Ha, ha, ha!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The Best!!!!!!!!!!!!! someone once said of the Rutles: "Now we know who inspired The Beatles"
They actually sound like Stackridge here, more Bristolian!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Me and my mate did better than this when we were only17 years old and were just learning to play guitars.. This is terrible...and so were we ha ha. This kind of stuff should be kept off UA-cam.
It should be kept off because u think it sounds bad? How old r u?
@@bahbaroni9955 I love the Beatles but this was obviously a very loose jam. No, it's neither good nor bad...I said that because I'd rather hear more 'completed/ early versions of songs than stuff like than this. This is scraping the barrel for recordings that were never really intended for release, they were really just for themselves, for reference to plunder for possible song ideas at a later point in time. I was 11 when Beatlemania exploded throughout the world. The Beatles were the best band ever...still are...
@@davidbriggs9675 George Martin said that The Beatles would jam for hours, "looking for inspiration" and poor** Geoff Emerick would stay in there even into the early hours to get it down. George M said it was always best when they worked at home and brought in an almost completed song to work on. ** He didn't get the credit he deserved from The Fabs, for his dedication......
cool little track, Ringo is a genius, just the simple little lick he plays to enter the song is so good. I just love his drumming.
U are sure it is Ringo ?
1:06 is the version from McCartney. It's Paul playing.
I know it's only the Beatles, but I like it, like it, yes, I do.
Love it !
Очень неплохая команда. Оригинально пародируют Beatles.

Paul lifted a little piece of Harrison's song sour milk sea and wrote "get back". Harrison stole a title and a few words from James Taylor and wrote "Something".
Thank you so much for this
"It's just for you that I sing this song of love."
Paul é um gênio.
there is a complete song of this made by french singer Celine Lomez - je ne sais pas pourquoi in 1971 ua-cam.com/video/SxRNR_ly7zo/v-deo.html
Thanks for the heads up.
John said they did about 35 takes of this song until Paul was satisfied that they had the perfect version.
O embrião do que viria a ser Maxwell Silver Hammer.
There´s a hit hidden somewhere in this song, but they never got to develop it
Neil Innes wrote soon pretty catchy tunes, not bad at all. RIP Mr Innes
George and John were very outspoken in their hatred for this song. They blocked it from release as a single, despite Paul's pushing for it.
Thanks for the upload!
Ok galing din nila,,
Re Cycled Vinyl Blues is more Kansas City/Hey, Hey, Hey to me
Fresh Wound sounds so good
I've never heard this version of Boring, it's great
Must have been on tea when they made “she’s leaving home”
The gibberish in the third verse kills me xD
