I agree with Harry. I was looking to move to the 2023 Vcore 98, But the flex of the head created too much variation in my shots, it just wasn't stable enough. It also was a bit too muted for me. The Percept has the extra layers of graphite in the head, and even though i can feel the racquet flex when swinging, it locks in at contact and is always consistent, with great feedback.
Isn’t feel and muted opposite? One coach said it’s more feel while the other said it’s more muted.
Hey guys - fix the name of the racket at least? been 2 videos on the new Yonex line and it's the "Percept" - like, perception, not "PRECEPT"... It's kinda embarassing now at this point...

I'm NOT convince enough about this new Yonex Percept regarding the FEEL. The new paint job is OK. I think it's still MUTED. Every modern racquet nowadays are muted and soft. They screw up the feel, pop, make them more flexible. To me, Yonex Dual G 97 is still the best in term of Feel, good POP and stiff and that's what Tiafoe still use for years. He doesn't care or want to change...

Harry, have Yonex dropped the grip 5 option on their racquets ?
Hi im currently using yonex RD8 a very old model for years already with a 16x19 string pattern and 320 grams (strung). And i want to update it to percept. I am torn between 97d and 97h. I want 97h since it has the same string pattern to my rd8 but im worried that it might be too heavy for me. And as for the 97d the weight is ideal but its string pattern is 18x20. Will that make a big difference from my current rd8 racket if i switch. Your suggestions would greatly help.
How do you compare this with RF 97 V13?
