- This is Arcarum, part and parcel of Granblue Fantasy we all love and hate.
Basically, Arcarum summons can be separated into two categories. The first type of summons, give you more damage and increase your damage cap; Meanwhile, the second type of summons, offer you more HP and improve your survivability, I would call them ‘DMG summons’ and ‘HP Summons‘ respectively in this video.

Regarding the Items i would rather suggest to buy astras on No. 3 just because you would need way more of these in the end rather than Sephira Stones. (i mean you also get them from the event)

This, I find more tedious and time consuming to farm those 200 astras than sephira stones, as for me I always end up spending the 30k points from events in astras
Also the Haze, you can get 10 Haze for each type per month
@@Faylakes I needed haze when i first started, but now i have excess of them. Just keep playing Arc and trade for Astras imo, the sephira and hazes will come eventually.
if you plan to recruit multiple evokers in the long run (or maybe trying to get all the summons) it's better to invest in sephira stones, imo. i can only justify trading for light and dark astras bc their droprate is abysmal.
after flb-ing 4 summons and currently working on my third evoker and i can pretty much say sephira stones are the biggest gate.

astras are more worth to trade than sephira stone, and globe of starways should always be kept at least 1, it's the most crucial item to get an evoker because by changing the boss, you can get more astras and also sometimes you will be short on ideans which is a total pain in the ass, which makes you had to get either be lucky, or get to stage 9 which is a waste if you're focusing on other evokers

ngl, that skip button situation got me bad too, when i was grinding for fraux. now everytime i play arca, i never go for skipping button since some monsters drop astras that i need (like fire astras that i need for alaanan)

My friend playing so chill with Arcarum dmg summon be damn, his eye only fixed on Maria and now he already had her, no regret.
He said that he can farm up other one later, who know how long the game will last, the 12 Zodiac still just a quarter away from its full roaster, so at least it'll be that long and we would end up farmed all of those Arcarum anyway as long as we still playing this godforsaken game lol
Also 12 Zodiac currently based on eastern zodiac which involve by spirit animal, not include any person or object like western one, they still can ploy a western zodiac right on our head in a far future so I say they still have a shit tons of reference to exploit.

Bro, what's wrong with you? Lemme help.
Newbie players often struggle to clear arcarum because they don't have every single weapon grid to deal with mobs' off-ele resistance or Sarasa to cheese it. So, spending a miniscule 350 points to get 1 mighty-cure all (it works the same as a full elixir, so it can revive) and 1 bravery tonic (even though turn limit went from 50 to 70, getting 2 cancerous leopards with a skill seal curse gonna waste A LOT of points) can save a failed run. And since you can only bring 1 of each, don't buy more until you spend it. If that's not enough, explorer potions may work (since you earn 150 points for stage clear, it will always be worth it). I would advice against rejuveworts since you should take mobs out before they debuff you (but can't say for sure, since I'm killing everything in 1 turn).
Retreat causes you forfeit 10 points, while total party wipe would end your run unless you have a mighty-cure-all. So feel free to retreat if you screwed out with your party.
If you encounter a cancerous... I mean, cantankerous leopard and you know you can't deal with its repel, go home and indulge in other gbf activities (or stay afk) for 1.5~2 hrs. When you come back, the mob won't have the repel and would be much easier to deal with (also notice that your characters lose their buffs too, so don't push any buttons before you come back).
Sometimes you encounter a non-elemental hidden mob (a spere with guns or a robot), it has a huge chunk of hp and packs quite a punch, but killing it always grants 1 (sometimes 2) sephira stones. One thing about them I noticed about them is that they're not immune to lethal hit, so a Depravity cast from Song (Tweyen) and other similar skills often kill them instantly.
If you're good with your turn points, explore each node even after you clear the stage, you might trigger treasure chests filling every node or a hidden mob spawn.
If you want to cheese the arcarum, follow this:
- Get Sarasa (Threo)
- Uncap her to 5* for more damage from Ground Zero
- Make her HP as high as possible (yugu staves, chev guns, dark opus or even titan swords)
- Make ultima or dark opus with 50% skill cap
- Get more weapons with skill cap
If you still don't have enough plain damage to annihilate stuff, consider this:
- Bring any Lunalu along (SSR is the best, she never misses her copy)
- Swith your MC to mechanic and make a robot with Bomb Maneuver
- OR switch your MC to swordmaster/glorybringer and equip a weapon which deals plain damage based on your HP (disparia is the best, sephira sword/sephira blade would suffice)
If you're looking for more loot, switch your MC to gizoku (bandit tycoon), get a storyteller and pick the AoE TH4 emblem - this will make your runs for loot better and faster. Also, you can add Esser (Tien), dark Richard, earth De La Fille and christmas Mary to your party for even more freaking loot.
Also, remember that extreme give a huge load of bonus exp (especially during legfests). So, buff yourself with exp/rp from the journey drop shop and put some characters who really need lv100 or lots of EMP in backline/free slots.
Oh yeah, and you don't have to buy a globe before you start stage 9. If you don't like a boss, you can just get to the shop, take a globe and reroll the boss. Don't waste 1.5k points before that.

@@CrusaderKoon no problem, man. As a matter of fact, I looked into some videos of yours when I was just starting playing gbf. And they were quite helpful, since gbf is not a noob-friendly game. Just to let you know, you're quite good at teaching, just overlooking minor stuff sometimes.

@@anghoangnguyen9581 first, make the parties, it'll save your time for not re-arranging (you have a plenty of spare party slots for that). A lot of monsters can be killed with just MC skills - use classes which can make use of multiple AoE/multihit nukes (i.e. warlock or hound with ar3/twin coil or chrysaor with 2 weapons + decimate). Some summons (flb primals, arcarum and some new ones) can also be utilized to make yet another nuke. Some monsters are too huge though - so, if possible, bring characters with some utility (atk/data buffs, def down, uplift etc) or who can deal good damage (innate data, ignition or just more nukes), then fight the monster with all you got. Naturally, everything mentioned scales with your grid, so farming better weapons is always an option.
Also, special mention goes for a few tactics:
1. Flb Bonito - mostly usable in water for obvious reasons, but can also go in other elements if your grid is strong enough. A full ougi with kengo/rising force MC is usually enough to decimate any regular mob, even with full R party.
2. Huge HP swordmaster/glory + disparia - deals plain damage, so you won't have to think about which party to use. This tactic requires some sort of a grid, so it's not beginner-friendly. Disparia can be substituted for sephira sword for ~3x less damage. Also, extreme difficulty halves the white damage, so dealing with big monsters may still be an issue (unless you actually make a full hp weapon grid)
3. Mechanic + bomb maneuver drone - deals plain damage based of number of drone cells. Kinda cheap to make as it only needs some proto baha loot to work, but the damage cap is very low (consider dealing 500-600k). Only good for killing 3-mob packs on extreme.
4. Mechanic + energy maneuver drone - makes t1 full ougi. Again, easy to make, but mech's ougi damage is not near as good as kengo/rf. With a good enough grid it usually kills any monsters except for neutral element ones though.

I stopped playing 2 years ago and only started again, and if there was not ticket cap I would’ve gotten 600++ tickets TOT now I have 5 eviolite and no evokers from lack of astras
If you play the arcarum manually, and always killing all the monster (easy way is using mech,yoda,lunalu,sarasa combo), sephira stone is not a priority anymore, since you can get the thing relatively easy (1 enemy drop or event) while farming for astra, so it's better to spend it on astra instead.

nearly done with 4th arca chara(borger--just need evolite and expecting to get them in this coming granfest rewards *fingers crossed). IMO, sephira stones are total waste of arcapoints long term if you want charas. Sephira stones at any stage might gate you for a couple weeks, astra can gate you for months. I'd prioritize astra, sunstone(if you need it) and as few globes as possible and use gw for evolite.

since the arc nerf i can get around 30-40 of each astra by slow running through 30 tickets, along with at least 10 barriers every 9 stage rotation and around 1 sephira stone per run. in all honestly it is hella fast to get the mats to uncap the summons now with the only gate being the evolite costing 500 gw badges ~.~
also buying out arc points during trade events is a quick 20 astras, so never neglect these.
Also imo: sephistones are not as valuable as you think, unless you are mass making every summon at the same time then you wont burn through them fast enough for it to matter since slow runs gives you a lot. Astras on the other hand.... you do get a lot from runs now, but the 200 gate to get the summon card is still brutal at times if you aim for the character, otherwise just running arc stages is enough

Super good! It actually increases the damage cap. I had a hard time deciding which to FLB, between Belial and Bahamut.
However, it seems that Belial's passive doesn't apply to FAASAN hard mode, ppl still getting 30k of dmg in there when the battle starts.
Honestly, if you aim at Evokers, you should only buy Astras, not anything else. And certainly not waste points on Monika lol

The shop priority really should be sunlight stones > evolite > keep points for at least 1 globe of stairways at all times in case you use the one you have on hand > monika (if your wind characters are lacking) > astras > sephira stones > anything else you need. I also really recommend against making storytellers. I don't think it's actually a big enough boost to be worth the investment, especially when this guide is aimed at lower level players who likely aren't at the point where they can justify the weapon stones when they probably have guns to uncap in their grids. Just don't skip, and clear everything on each map that's reasonable to do so. You'll get there eventually.
Only thing I know is Sarasa, and team up lunalu that all ^^ copy ground zero that wasn't mention.
how would you best do the grid for a mimic team for arcaram?

how is this most comprehensive guide with all this basic that not even need to study...i was expecting information like monster list that drop astra, sephira stone(most single mobs spot drop it btw), TH workable list(seen study that it affect only on some etc mimic, hence you can save your time on those who don't), gotta say disappointed tbh

Tbh, I wouldn't buy Sephira Stone at all because it's way easier now to get rare monster and even single monster has chance to drop it. The Astra however is the real deal
Heya. Recently ended up getting Nier ~7 months after just starting.
I didn't skip anything, and that definitely secures the maximum stuff you can get. Using Bounty on any enemy that aren't the ones that drop Fragments also increase your chance of getting Astra after the update, which was a huge help.
This might be different depending on the Evoker you get, but I found that it was the Astra that took me the longest due to the Puppets prioritizing Tetra Elements over Light and Dark yields. I only needed a couple of Sephira Stones from the shop, otherwise the Box Events usually take care of that no problem.
So simply, stock up on points and get the Sunlight Stone if you don't have one already. If you're close to a distribution that will most likely give out a free Sunlight Stone, just save the points for Astra specifically. Those take the longest to acquire.

Wish I had these types of facts a when I first started but I do now have two evokers! Definitely don't skip and play the rounds all manually. I for one started a month or two behind my other friends but I think I beat them both to a second evoker. Nier and Lobelia are home and next up is Estariolla. oh yeah also have to mention if you are trying to collect evokers, best thing to do is to stay on one single Route so even if you don't get the astras or mats for who you are going for you'll have mats later on for the others, if you decide to get them.

From what i've experienced. If you don't have enough time to play, its fine to skip but not on the stages like 3-3, 6-3 and 9-3. On the last arcarum update they increase the chances of encountering rare monster on those stages.
I had fraux now and just waiting for the next gw to get evolite for Nier.
Just have patience and you will get the characters you want .

I personally prefer more Globe than Sephira Stones if you're in the high end :
1. You can focus your grind with Globe
2. You can get 2-5 Astras for a fraction of the cost of the Globe
3. I farm on Celsus, therefore, Globe is essential for me to only get The Star specifically that I farmed for months.
4. Complements Astra Farming

I'm a very casual average player. Only 1-2 hours a day, can't afford more than that due to real life work :P
I actually used the Skip tickets when I know I won't play GBF for days. Rather than having it capped at 30/30, better skip the stuff and get some of the mats.

Lunalu is really good to use with sarasa, since she can copy ground zero, some mob team of 2 can't be kill with just a single ground zero

Belle summon should not work since the way rare mobs appear is totally different pattern-wise.
By default rare mobs appear during a mission in those multi-part fights. You get into the mission by selecting the party first. In Arcarum they appear after certain criterias are met, such as killing those pack of wolves, the only randomness being if those wolves appear to begin with.
You'd have to figure out first how the game can even see you're using a certain summon. Their appearance isn't random, it's the criteria that makes them spawn based on RNG, which I'm pretty sure it's dictated when you get into the area itself. Hence why I don't see how Belle has any impact
Also are they even labeled as "rare monsters" to begin with by Cygames? Or is that what the playerbase is calling them?

In my opinion, astras most valuable item from arcarum shop, you can get sephira stones at least from mimics, but astras only from rare encounters.
Here is one tip that my crewmate taught me, for those annoying R/SR only stages - great thing is "Decimate' from Gladiator EX sub skill, and overall very useful. For normal/rare battles i use only one team in 90% cases. Light chrysaor with dual arts, decimate, splitting spirit, song, lunalu, sarasa. Devil bless song for her insta death thing

Quite many danchous also think that astras are more useful when we're focusing on a particular summon/evoker.

Just Finnish the Nier Fate episode. Then saw i need a Death Card. I quit. I'm not trying to get her anymore I'm just going to fast expedition and I get her when I get her.
They really need to change the way arcarum works, the 1 ticket a day thing is just asinine. They either need to increase the amount we get to 3-5, or make a reliable way to refresh it multiple times
I'm only 10 months in the game but Justits and Maria are my frist summon and Evoker lololol. Waifu above all. But I'm already near to recuit Katzelia and I can technically FLB The Moon too.

@@CrusaderKoon Kinda yeah, started this year February durig Flash Gala. I tried Arcarum on March but stopped after I instantly met that fucker with repel lol. Went back to Arcarum on April and was stuck in hard for a month because I didn't have teams and grids to go to extreme.
The thing is, I've been spamming 2nd route only so I don't have much of Arca summons lol. Except 2* The Sun and 3* The Death

Is it 5 sunlight stones in total or per month? Either way at least I never spent AC points on weapons
I think skipping stages not 3,6,9 is fine because the solo monsters and rare encounter rate not on 3,6,9 is pretty low, so the cost for losing out on potential rare encounters is negligible. Also, most of the mob monsters that come in groups are weak to death, so song/tweyen is pretty good to breeze through arcarum, though most of the solo monsters are immune to death.
It is really matter to bring item drop rate for mimic or rare monster? I thought it was fixed amount of drop. and for belle summon I think summon work when you start the battle? since arcarum rare mob appear on the arcarum screen not the battle I guess it's not imo

My suggestion for some of you who dont have time to play arcarum is just like dont skip every stage, so raise your maximal number of arca ticket to 20, one stage per two days are enought for grind the matrial, and focus to only one point of stage, and now days grind the matrial on hard stage is really easy because it provide 70 BP per stage, I only did this and really usefull to evoke one card.

The skipping function is definitely a trap. But nobody knew about the ridiculous astra requirement at the time so it can't be help... Arcarum is sooo boring at the time and I'd have ignored it anyway even without skip function.

Btw, the cycle of Magna II grid is approaching its end, so I guess at least for the next 1 year, Primal grids will still be more powerful overall in terms of performance, until the arrival of a higher version of Magna weapons.

Sunlight shouldn't be a priority. Goin to get my 4th one next week and only bought the first ones. Never skip, have good luck and play the events for arca points
JD are usefull for exp/rp but TH is pre useless there. Dark team Sarasa/Lunalu/Zoi is a fast team for Arca

I agree with a lot of this video, but I try to recruit my favorite evokers first rather than going for damage summons first, as much as I want Sun summon.
Then spend your points on Astras instead of Sephira stones for evoker, faster this way. :)

When you are browsing arcarum shop, try to choose 'All' in the drop list.

What're the rare monsters to look out for? Also, any tips on how to beat those 2 big head dudes? (Castor and Pollux)
Ruby turtle, Castor and a few... I just can't remember the names. Castor is fairly easy, they have pretty low hp, just go full out and it shouldn't be a problem.
Those 2 are definitely the easiest because their hp is so low. You can kill them both in turn 1 only with MC so rare only challenge is not a problem. Setup #1 - chrys (mist, decimate, AF). Setup #2 - warlock (warlock's mist, rain, glad's aoe). Both those setups deals enough damage to OTK them. Sandy/Lucio can oneshot any of them with a skill. Any MC with mist+ Rain + Seruel = easy OTK. Sarasa + Lunalu = they're dead. Actualy there are a lot of options.

I'm a casual player, I play Arcarum for only one hour a week, and I'm close to getting my 3rd evoker. So, by experience, I can say this in indeed a great guide for everyone on Arcarum.
Just, as some other people already commented, it's best to use points on astras than sephira stones, but I have spent points on both, depending on my needs. It's just that it's a bit easier to get stones, or is used less, I'm not sure but I always lack astras and not stones. And as said in the video, don't skip any stage, NEVER.

@@12thdominion No, I really am, it's just that I've been playing for over two years, I never skipped Arcarum since release, by the time they released the evokers, I already had one MLB Arca summon, so didn't take much longer to get my first evoker.
I wonder if anyone datamined if the world is gonna be a summons with an evoker. Tbh sounds like you would need all of the evokers to get him
The Summon (The World) is already there in the game, but it is a limited summon, which you can only obtain through a past Tokyo Game Show event, if I remember correctly. However, it's neither a very strong nor useful summon.

Awesome video! Very helpful for me at least because I’ve been currently doing this! Question though, at what stage would you put the arcarum summon on your team? And I am about to get my devil arcarum to an ssr right now but you recommended to start with an attack cap one, so should I continue the devil or start the other ones to boost my damage cap
I suggest going with the dmg summons. I picked Justice at first too, and uncapped it until the last stage, then I realised I was on a wrong direction. Switched my route to the Sun immediately.

I rarely even touched Arcarum but after watching this, I'm never touching it. Honestly I find arcarum to be boring and I don't play GBF for the meta anyways.

I think yes, it gives you more items that way. But no need to force yourself on that, just skip if you think that you don't have enough time for game on that day.
