  • Spring is one of the best times of year to target snapper with metal lures. Its simple, clean and effective. Matt Watson has one of the best days ever on the water so he decides to get a cameraman and head out a second day to capture the awesome action.

    it’s good to release the big snapper because as you said they are the best breeder and because the big ones are normally older they don’t taste good either.

      I agree with you there. I know with flatties, the females reproduce often (at least once a year) at around 40-65cm but people will take those out of the water and get annoyed when an 80+ does but she would only reproduce every 3 years and wouldnt be as successful.

      @@mirandamoloney2837 you cant compare snapper and flathead though. the meat quantity difference is astronomical comparing a 40cm flatty to 60 then to a croc. with snapper, i think 45cm to 75 is the best to take

      Yes, they are a porgy, not true snapper like for ex. American red snapper. If you Google grey porgy or fl sheepshead they have an almost identical body

    when actual music and his hymning was miles aparts.. but still enjoyable till the end!! LOL
    But btw.. Barotrauma fish shouldnt be released like this.. imagined the air in fish expanded while coming to the surface.. it should be drop back down with a heavy sinker to help compress the air in the swim bladder without having to puncture anything on its body. I hope you lads do it the correct n proper way and not letting air out of its body...

      @@folklore_xdfolklore_xd2884 thats the problem with you people. helping the fish decompress is way better than poking it and releasing some air from it.. if u didnt know by now!! • @FishingSGsWild
      @FishingSGsWild 4 роки тому

      @@folklore_xdfolklore_xd2884 from the way you reply.. You basically have little idea about compression and decompression. You have even fewer ideas about water ingress, bacteria infection and how this may reduce the chances of the survivability of the fish. what was done here letting the air out was the norm which most anglers are quite used to.. doesnt mean that THIS is THE BEST WAY TO DO IT right here.. right now. All you know is taking sides.. trying to tell someone off than focusing on this matter which would be beneficial for all catch n release anglers.
