I know where all the good fishing spots are in New Zealand. I think whatpeople are trying to say is that they can’t find where the fish are but they know how to catch them if they were there.🤔
Im sorry but what I wnna see on the ITM fishing show is me there fishing with Matt and the boys 😉 if that can't be arranged can Matt adopt me? How would he feel having a 60 year old son? Lol
I don't wanna sound like hater but.... These guys go to the best locations where you could bait your hook with garden worms or bread and catch Snapper. You could cast out an unbaited shiny hook and catch snapper in their locations with their burley and boat access. Let me be at pains to state that they are not frauds, they are world class fishos....just saying, most of what you see on these shows is not applicable in the average mud spot that ninety percent of all fishos have access to on any given day. Location, burley, snapper swarming the burley trail.....not something the average guy sees in the average location after decades of trying. I don't watch these shows as much as I watch amateur vids on regular spots in places like Auckland. The reason is obvious, I don't own a Stabicraft and I have never seen Mat Watson do a show at Whatipu Rocks or Browns bay or anywhere that most of us fish. These shows are like comparing a night in with the Missus to a pawn video.
Mate the bay of islands is a pretty over fished and highly inconsistent , its very busy most weekends and the fishing can be very tough, just like anywhere, the hauraki has plenty of oppurtunity to catch really good fish, sure it may not be as good as the bay, but I guarantee these guys would still probably outfish you on your home turf, and the fish they catch, even in the locations they fish are nothing to be scoffed at
You've got to respect his respect, and knowledge, for wildlife. Stuff you can't learn in school. Great channel! Really worth following!
I love the catch and release. You’re so awesome at that. Only keeping what is sustainable to feed your family.
