Best review of this bottle I’ve seen so far. Just snagged one yesterday so i wanted a little more info on it. I think i got that here. Good job dude.
hell yeah, i appreciate that. I do my best to provide value, but still building the relationships and connections I need to give that information that is not available to everyone.
Opened a bottle today and you were spot on!!! Beautiful bottle, easy drinking at 100 proof, and surprisingly flat out good bourbon. Will definitely buy again.
I just picked up a bottle of this today i love the look of the bottle its just simple
I picked up a signed bottle in TN a month ago and it is fantastic. I will pick up a backup next trip. 🥃
It’s an excellent bourbon. I’m enjoying it right now.
Great content. Love your style. I agree, it is a bit over priced. I was at liquor store last night and I had the bottle in my hand, but the price point made me put it back in the shelf.
I use the bottle as my infinity bottle
Just like you're supposed to!
As do I!
Yeah, fair assessment of this one. This is a good one, and is pretty much a staple in my household now. Next you should get a hold of their Case Study and Single Barrels 🔥 Really good stuff there!
I am definitely on the hunt for some other offerings by them after trying this one. I wish it was easier to come by but I am sure I will be able to get my hands on something.
Is it really that good? I just find it hard to believe a 4 year old bourbon in a nice bottle is worth $70
@@daddydog9275 I mean, considering $70 is pretty much the price point for craft whiskey these days, yes, it beats or equals just about anything you put it up against in that realm. However, if you're not one to spend that kind of money, and prefer the $20-$30 bourbons made by the big guys, then it might not be worth it to you. For me, I always have a bottle of it around, but wouldn't say it's a daily drinker, but I definitely like to drink it.
@@inthebag84 thanks for the response! Would you say it’s a top tier craft bourbon ? Or in terms of taste does it hover around that $20-$30 flavor? Just wanna ask cuz I was disappointed with the Blue Run High Rye and Peerless Small Batch lol
@@daddydog9275 I consider it to be better than the $20-$30 for sure. I did a blind tasting, and the Blue Run was part of it, along with Blanton's, WT Rare Breed, and Elijah Craig Toasted Barrel and Frank came in second, right behind Rare Breed (one of my all time favorites). So yeah, it beat the Blue Run. I can't guarantee that you'll like it, but I do, and if you've had any of those others I did the blind against, maybe you can get an idea on where it sits.
Can’t remember what other channel it was, but they believed it was sourced Wilderness Trail.
Ohhh thats interesting. I cant say its not wilderness trail. They do have bottled in bond whiskey so it would make sense. I just wonder if WT would make them sign a NDA or if they would want people to know its their whiskey.
Great review
Great video
Appreciate that! So what do you think? Worth the pickup?
@@BourbonOfTheWeek it was for me, just probably not for everyone
Makes since it could be from willet. Willet be good shit
@@travishodge4686 willet does make sense
I just passed on this bottle at Benash bc of your price score. I went with Penelope toasted rye instead
Frank August is distilled at Bardstown Bourbon Company
Why do you think that ?
@@BourbonOfTheWeek They were actively distilling a batch and it was literally written on the wall there during my last tour.
FR SiB may not be BiB but it’s 100 proof.
Why does my store price it at $155? 😭😂
Nice review. This whiskey is fine but it's just not special enough to justify the price. I'd pick a wilderness trail everyday over this for $20 less and for juice they made themselves. Sorry this is not gonna survive at this price. Competition is way too high.
