Against the wind... 😁Ordered AWD version with 19" wheels couple weeks ago, same color as this (Lucid Red) after I had test driven it second time. Somehow it did feel comfortable and steady after I have tested few other cars. I like the compact size and as far the golfbag fits in trunk, I'm happy. And Maybe I'm weird, but I like the looks too 🙂
@@ItsOnlyElectric There is one thing that bothered me - the navigation features. The Explorer is a cooperation car from both brands, vw and ford. It's build on ford's own factory and some things are borrowed from vw. Like the switch to open the windows, the buttons on the steering wheel, control the headlights, the dash screen, the engine, the meb platform and the touch volume. The rest it's Ford's own team who have optimised the rest and developed it.
You're a fantastic reviewer doing comprehensive testing that is exactly what us interested and prospective buyers want. Thank you for making the videos.
3:46 People have a lot of difficulties to understand that a "speed limit" is not the speed you must match but the limit you are not allowed to exceed. If following safety regulations is too frustrating, just don't drive. BTW, the impact of speeding is very small on the total travel time, but it makes having an accident quite more possible and it makes accidents significantly more deadly. Not to mention of 100% drivers who speed tickets... were speeding. Finally, if an audio warning is not enough and is too easy to switch off, the next iteration of the regulation will a hard speed limitation of the car with no possibility to switch it off.
I don't think you get the point and may not have tested the new regulatory speed limit warning in Europe. It's impossible to manually keep a constant speed. And driving under the speed limit is also not ok and can give you a reversed speeding ticket.
@@ItsOnlyElectric I live in Europe, and my 2018 model 3 is configured to make noise if I am 5% over speed limit, even if for my "old" car it is not mandatory. And sure, it is not allowed to drive at 50 km/h on an highway in normal conditions, but driving at 100 km/h on a 130 km/h highway is not an issue at all, or 70 km/h on a 90 km/h, or 20 km/h on a 30 km/h road eg in cities. Some cars are even limited to 45 km/h and they are allowed on 90 km/h roads. And you only need to "manually keep a constant speed" when you are close to the limit. So once more, the problem is that people don't care speed limits, and when there is an accident with people injured or dead it is supposed to be bad luck. If you don't agree, don't be surprised to see more and more speed bumps and radars and tomorrow a hard limitation on speed.
I wish reviewers would do real reviews and not these doctored ones. Do them doing speed limit, use AC, rain or winter, overtake go faster than speed limit.Nobody will drive slow or without AC
My dad is getting one next week in arctic blue. I like the AGR seats and the interior. Here in the Netherlands with subsidy (€2.950,-) and discount from Ford (another €2.950,-) you can get the limited edition with 204hp and 79kWh battery for €37.850,-. That’s a very good deal in my opinion.
@Rob_Dekker It is a special version for the Dutch market with the ‘old’ Volkswagen APP310 engine (204hp/310NM). It is a bit less energy efficient than the newer APP550 with 286hp/550NM. This is done to meet private clients as this version applies for SEPP subsidy and leaves room for an option or two.

Before you buy just think about a range of 180 miles and how that will affect your ownership, for some that might work but for a primary vehicle I will have to admit to buying the wrong car. Shame.
