Hey, so basically: 1. Any group can be a tribe. If you've got a group of friends that want to share a camp and a common theme, then bam! You're a tribe. 2. If you want to join an already existing tribe, I'd suggest going to an event and talking to a few tribes whose themes you like and ask them about how they're organised and how to join. 3. Official "placed" tribes are given specific spots to camp in or out of Wasteland City (the themed zone). In order to get placed, you need to attend an event as an unplaced tribe, and pull off a 100% immersive look, so no modern tents, campers, cars, or other that would look out of place in a Mad Max movie. Get a bunch of pictures and then apply for placement the next year through WastelandWeekend.com
Yes, there's general parking as you come in. In general camping you can pull up to your camp, drop everything off, and then go park. If you're camping in Wasteland City (themed area) you need to have your car out by midday Wednesday.
I was thinking with things like coolers you could go all out on em, make them look used old and distressed on the outside of them, flat paint and good old dirt really go a long way;) Personally I think if its a version of our future the high tech "modern" stuff will still be there, but just worn out. things like electronics might not work though depending on the tribe theme, nuclear bombs have that affect on them..unless it was protected by the EMP weapons, which is doubtful..lol looks like cell phones are a no go! LOL
You....don't. there are no pools at Wasteland. Though I'm sure there'd be a lot of very happy wastelanders if you set one up. If you're talking a kiddie pool, You could probably get several 5 gallon buckets filled at the grocery store in Mojave.
That mutant bit at the end was good, and your really good at presenting the facts in a confident and intelligent way. Your a decent actor. On a side note. Do you think this event will be continuing into the not so near future, I would love to come once I'm old enough. Also, with the costuming for tribes. I notice nearly everyone wears black and brown, but what would your take on worn out red boiler suits, would that still fit with the apocalyptic theme for you.
Hmm, not my label, but if you come to wasteland there's the Dinky Dive cafe. They'll have cans with labels to buy. And bonus, they're filled with stew!
So j get the while tribe thing but do you really need to have a tribe to be inside the wasteland gates or is it possible to do a lone wolf style thing ?
sorry I missed this one. Lone wolves don't get placement inside the gates. The idea being that each tribe in the themed area bring something to share with the rest of the event. It's a hard thing for 1 person to pull off. Most tribes in the city offer entertainment, host places to hang out, run tribe missions, or things like that.
Really miss you, Padre. RIP
Can you join a tribe? How? And can you sleep in ur car instead of a tent? How do you create a tribe?

RenRobot thanks so much!
Is there a place to park a normal car so you can join a tribe?
