Obsidian's so good at writing, even the overarching theme of the DLC clues you in on how many times you will reload a save in this DLC.
Wow, never thought of it like that, but I just reloaded because I wasn’t satisfied with killing Dean, even though he’s twisted, if it’s within my power, it’s more satisfying for me to save any and everyone I can.
I cant click that like button enough to agree more especially since my char was specced as a rifle/sniper build not a melee, and then that vault part i think it took me about 20 reloads my head just kept popping
@@empress9554 im of the same mind. however if someone is unable to be saved or refused, i won’t hesitate to put them down. Shaun in fallout 4 is an example. Sure, shaun was already dying, but he would rather hold a grudge than accept your offer if you dont have enough charisma.
Having to replay basically the entire DLC from the beginning to save Dean. What a pain in the ass. Defo worth it.
@@gipsydangeramericasmonster9632 Dont even bring up Fallout 4 when it comes to shaun its just lazy writing and an insult to the fallout name gameplay is fun story isnt great which is why i stay away with it even fallout 3 is better than 4 that shows you how low effort they are.
At the start of the DLC, Elijah might as well say:
"Hello Courier... I want to play a game."
Good idea
"Hello courier, I want to play a game.
There is an explosive collar around your neck.
The radios around will trigger your collar after a certain amount of time around them. Wiill you be able to lead me to the bars and let go? Or will you succumb to the fog and ghosts of the old world. Good luck, courier"
@Jon enry Den Fucking missed opportunity...
@Jhonny Topside I agree with that should've had some for each companion as well.
Fucking golden opportunity. Elijahs voice was perfect for the line
DOG(GOD) has to be the most interesting character on the entire DLC, i really wanted to know more of him, but i rushed my way onto the DLC because the city fucking scared me
Right? I was noping the entire DLC lol hattteeeeddddd it.
If it's any consolation, there's a finite amount of Ghost People in the Villa. You can't get ambushed or anything.
Personally loved every bit the choices the scares you just gotta get adrenaline pumping and the right characters and you can enjoy all of it
Honestly, I’m to scared to even start it 😂
The first time it was a dam nightmare at level 10 but the second time at level 30 and drinking some margarita made it easier lol
Them’s Good Eating literally saved my life on this DLC. The lack of Stimpaks in the early parts really hurts. But being able to scavenge the Blood Sausages and the Thin Red Pastes really made this easier even on hard and very hard
They were a gift from God on survival.
Pack Rat, Light Step, Adamantium Skeleton were the absolute essential perks for me. I only had an issue with healing items at the beginning of the DLC, but I learned it well enough to where I could get by comfortably till I got the snow globe.
Rad Child, yo. Even with just 200 rads you have a constant regen of 2 health per second at the cost of -1 endurance, which is well worth it, for my part.
I just drank sink watee
The Phoenix Implant you get from Dr Usanagi really saved my ass in this DLC.
Before every encounter I would just sit and let my health slowly regenerate.
Its funny how Elijah makes fun of RobCo. and Mr. House's inventions but Mr. House was far wiser than Elijah could have ever hoped to be.
I mean... "far wiser"? Are you sure about that? After all, he invites the courier into the Lucky 38 without disarming them. RIP sickly coffin man.
@@trashfire9641 disarming the man who was shot but came back again to deliver his package, that sounds like a fight waiting to happen. Plus I think house was wise enough to realize that everyone has a price so he counts on the courier being greedy and wanting caps for working with him
@@trashfire9641 It isn't a marvelous comparison simply because it's comparing a savvy tycoon to a tech wiz who went insane. Insanity opposes wisdom, so it's easy to say that even the simple caravan runner Jeb is "far wiser" than Elijah.

Did this DLC three times on three playthoughs. Let God take over once, Dog take over once, and had them work together the last time. Getting them to become one was the best option I think. It gives the nicest end credits slide.

I actually found it before Dead Money was released. It was just a bunker entrance that required a key to open.
that's actually a pretty cool way to play a dlc, not even knowing anything at all...
Dead money in a nutshell: old man yells at cloud.
Old man yells at abandoned casino in the desert
Courier steals heavy gold bars so he doesn't have to keep using console commands
Old man yells at cloud I tell ya hwhat
Wait; Collars 8, 12 and 14?
Assuming they're issued in any kind of order might be a misstep, but if they are numbered based on when they were issued that would make 8 the nightkin, 12 the ghoul, and 14 Christine, if I'm remembering correctly?
The largest gap left in the sequence implies the 8,9,10,11 team was a previous failure, and the nightkin ate the wearer of collar 8, leaving the smallest gap for the player. Collar 13.
The Courier can never escape the Vault Dweller's shadow. (I'm not saying that Elijah did it with intent, more that it's a dev reference to Vault 13)
It sure doesn't hurt my headcanon that Courier Six is another vault dweller descendant just like The Chosen one though.
*[You take a sip from your trusty Vault 13 canteen]*
But the courier is the last one to come... So... He or she is collar 15+
And if you're right about the order what happened to 1-7
hustlinjustin first ones probably were the first people Elijah took with him since he’s already inside trapped when you get there and that’s how he first got in, a few teams later and finally we arrive
If you put it in sequence in order, its supposed to be going forward not the other way around
Your brain has abs from all those mental gymnastics. Try justifying Loli next please

@@thotsoup7026 Foolish, you lifted my curse. I am free after years
Controversial choice, but this was my favourite DLC. Everyone felt mangled and disturbed, and the atmosphere here was turned to 11.
For me I can't help love all the dlc for NV. I personally believe all the of them could've been a game in of themselves but in addition to whole game of NV it just makes the whole Game so much better. All the different stories that play in the world of NV give it such an epic, living and breathing world truly a beauty of gaming
I love it too. I understand the gameplay was not fun cuz it's such a dizzying maze, which Sierra madre was, but the story is so good and the atmosphere is pitch perfect
@Sifra Aprillia Fahira really? I didn’t see any bugs in dead money in fact the challenge was refreshing especially with the fearful and ghost like atmosphere. Even the background sound of the nuclear sirens made the atmosphere better. I would say both this and lonesome road are my favourite because of the map, story, characters, connected lore and the difficulty
I liked Dead Money a lot, but I'm not really on good terms with horror games, and so the DLC scared the shit out of me
Shame, really, because I rushed it and didn't explore everything there
The gameplay had some irritating parts but I love the idea of surviving on whatever you could scrounge up instead of blasting everything with your gatling gun and power armor. Story was good too.
Ah, yes. A casino.
A perfect spot for a creepy insane Ex-Brotherhood elder den.
The Dog/God character always reminded me of the conversation you have with your brain at the end of old world blues. One voice advocates for restraint, while the other is a slave to they’re urges. Two sides of the same person.
Too bad we couldn't find a way to destroy the cloud, go back whenever we wanted and run the place with christine
Danplays the cloud came from old world blues not sure how though
The cloud was created in big mt
Put in the pipes and leaked out
During The Gala Event Christine's Part You Turn The Ventilation On and Cloud Weakens
Wasn’t the cloud commissioned by Sinclair to the think tank for crowd suppression or something? Nothing those moronic geniuses made was any good, fucking cazadores. I like being a sniper just so I can pick those bastards off before they get close
This DLC always makes my head *explode* with rage.
*beep beep beep*
You just have to, let it go.
This was my least favorite DLC of NV
yeah worrying about that collar just destroys my immersion into the story and characters.
MetalPcAngel I didn't like it either.
I always preferred God and I never once let him out of his "Cage" in my play through
The Red Menace how did you get him to the switch for the gala unless he turns into dog?
I do believe there is a skill check that you can pass that has you tell him that you don't need Dog's mindless strength, that he is more valuable to you with his mind unmuddled.
The Red Menace he was invaluable to me with his ability to Eat the enemys without having to cripple them.
The Red Menace fucking commieeeeee reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeseeseeeeeeseeeeseseeseeeeeeeeee
Screw that, Dog is most useful to me, so he stays out. I merge them in the end, but I need Dog.
For those that don't know, there's an old John Huston - Humphrey Bogart movie called 'Treasure of the Sierra Madre' which Dead Money takes a lot of influence from. All about gold, and greed, and what it can do to people. It's well worth a watch, indeed there was a 'Rugrats' episode based on it.
Nicholas Cross cool thanks for the info maybe watching that soon but I love the lesson of the whole dlc sure it a little hard if ur not melee but that's a little flaw in an amazing dlc great story some people say that they should have more enemy's in the dlc not just the ghost people but the sirriea maddre is ur enemy the cloud the radios I love this dlc
@@raging_brachydios "flaw". I call it tough cookies.
Elijah is one of the most interesting and nuanced villains I've ever seen. You don't even need to know his origin or anything. He's a genius who has seen so many people he cared about die that he just fell apart, and Helios was the tipping point. Such an amazing character.
Reminded me of Anchorage too, that being the best dlc of Fallout 3. I love when developers switch up their gameplay for a moment. I played this on hardcore and thought it was amazing. Real survival stuff.
He's just insane in general. It's not cuz people he's cared about have died. He's just insane and power-hungry. Something him and most my characters in video games share, lol.
AuthorityCat I agree he’s a really good character, he’s a rogue brotherhood elder, scientist, power hungry mad man and I love it. Definitely one of the most interesting character in the entire game
@@emlynselene1096 if Elijah returned to the Hidden Valley bunker I'm quite sure that the brotherhood would shoot him on sight for what he did at helios one.
@@emlynselene1096 He wanted to use the Archimedes weapon for the Brotherhood but he lacked the Euclid’s C-Finder, the key component. If he had it, the Brotherhood would probably win the battle as the NCR would've gotten fried by the pannels outside and he would've had the orbital laser. So not that mad, he just wanted to use the C-Finder to defeat the NCR and strengthen the BoS by a lot. It made him mad that he failed to get it and defeat the NCR.
This DLC was my favorite of all time. It had such a good atmosphere and environment. The storyline was good. It even kinda scared me.
"But getting to it, that's not the hard part. It's letting go." - New Vegas has it's fair share of iconic lines. This one being my second favorite, the other one delivered by Benny at the start.
Whenever I hear that quote, it reminds me of patrolling the Mojave, wishing for a nuclear winter
My favorite line is Benny just saying "What in the gawt dayum?"
“They asked me if I had a degree in theoretical physics. I said i had a theoretical degree in physics.”
(1) Whether the SM is hard or not depends on your build. If you have been a melee build, it will be easy. If you have been a gun build you will find it challenging due to the dearth of ammo and all it takes to take out the enemies.
(2) There is a trashcan half buried in junk on the south end of the opening courtyard. This is the best place to store all the things you pick up. There is a ton of unique gear you will want to keep and carry capacity matters. As you work your way and clear the sectors of the outside, you can keep dumping things into that trash can and before you go into the casino you will want to get as close to empty as you can - you will want the capacity later and you don't want to feel obligated to carry anything you could have stored before.
(3) There are perks to be gained from companions and mods to SM weapons in the outside that you have to collect BEFORE you go in to the casino. Dog/god's permanent perk makes taking out the enemies much easier and is well worth getting. If you are a completionist like me you would hate to leave mods for new weapons behind.
(4) Once you are in the casino, you can take all you want, but unless it is special you should turn it into chips/money. There are merchant holograms to help. You will also want to max out the casino while you can for chips and prizes until they cut you off. You only get the one shot at it all.
(5) By the time you go down the elevator to meet Elijah you are likely going to be super-encumbered with casino goodies. You will, however, need to run later. If you drop everything you can by the elevator door, you will be able to pick it up at the end and still make it out the door with more gold and Elijah's unique gear. Any strength boosting you can do then is going to be worth its weight in gold (literally).
There was a trick where you could carry it in front of you and glitch it through the force field to pick up on your way out, but I couldn't get it to work on the GotY edition.
(6) Grab your gear before you open the elevator to flee, because once you hit that door it is over - except, of course, when you wake back up in the courtyard to hear the final stories, get all the things you left in that trash can, and crawl your way home carrying tons of loot back with you.
You can just sneak past him if you wait at the right tesla coil right outside of the bunker (make sure to close the door behind you when you leave) once he walks to the terminal book it for the door
Oakspar Oakspar I literally just run the whole area backwards carrying all the gold in front of me
Dearth
Yes, "dearth." Look it up. Since you loose all your gear and the enemies need to be crippled you will quickly run out unless you are very careful (picking your fights, using VATS to pile attacks on a particular limb, putting shots into them when they are down, etc).
With a decent enough sneak skill you can get away with all the gold, yes, every single piece of gold, by sneaking past Elijah. Yes, you'll be over encumbered, but you're able to not be detected by Elijah by moving at the right time, as Idk Who cares said in the comment above.
I also want to thank you for your tricks and tips, I wasn't aware of this in my first run-through of Dead Money. I'm defo going to do what you did in my next play through.
From what I've been able to tell, Dog was the origional personality, since its "Dog" carved into his chest. I think at some point he looked in a mirror and read "GOD" and that's how his second personality, god, was forged. That's why even though god is the smarter of the two, I always keep him as dog.
Actually from what I understand his personality split after the master died. When you fuse them together at the end of the dlc I believe that's the original personality.
@@proffeseririkuri8991 I thought God was the first one lol, but that makes much more sense imo
Yes but I think God carved the name in the mirror, as a back door to regain control if dog looked into the mirror.
Well healing them makes them sound like God but his name is still Dog
I’m having horrible flashbacks watching this. This DLC is literally a RAGE FEST
This is STILL my favorite of your video series, Ox. You're the reason I keep coming back to New Vegas. Truly the best Fallout 'Tuber. :D
His content is of the highest quality . Leaves no stone unturned
The first time I played this DLC, my radio glitched and only played Johnny Guitar the entire time I was in the Sierra Madre. The other frequencies worked, but they all played on top of a faint Johnny Guitar. Added another layer to the atmosphere of the DLC.
All jokes aside, Dead Money felt like an actual Saw trap, with life lessons and Dog was an apprentice of a mastermind
The Mojave, NOT the Perfect Spot for a Mirelurk Den...
The Strange Quark Lakelurk Den, more like.

The Strange Quark Considering they don't exist in the Mojave (discounting Lakelurks but they are so rare and weak who counts 'em) Riki agrees
I just realized Christine is Veronicas or was her girlfriend
Really?
@@Brando216 no, not really. I really like this theory, but iirc, it has one big plot hole with it, but everything else fits. Cuz Veronica's girlfriend left the BoS. Though one could interpret this as she left the BoS and joined the higher level CoS and couldn't be with Veronica anymore.
True or not I headcanon this as fact and no one can stop me.
@joseph racca Yes she is a lesbian or was anyway.
They used to scissor each other.
I remember following the radio trail, just because I was curious, and I kinda rushed throuh the game. I regreted every moment I entered the damn bunker and had no idea were I was. Let's say this DLC creeped the hell out of me. I reloaded the a previous save, and sworn never to come back. Untill now, since I started the game over again.
But I think im going to level up more just in case, and the fact im playing on Very Hard is going to be a challenge....wish me luck
i dont mess with the base difficulty, all it does is make every enemy a bullet sponge and you even more vulnerable, if i want more of a challenge than Normal Difficulty, i switch on Hardcore Mode.
I play on very hard and hardcore, the only way to play fallout new Vegas
I play on very hard and hardcore, the only way to play fallout new Vegas
@@meowmsmacadamia7026 i am willing to do Hardcore, but it is not worth the aggravation to play on V.Hard, the only thing it does is make you weaker and everyone else stronger, turning even the weakest creatures into bullet sponges, while as for you? you go down quicker than a new vegas hooker... thats not challenge, its bullshit.
It becomes easy the second time you play. The first time I never looked around and rushed through it but on my second time round, I found a helmet and I used armour for quests from Caesar arena since quest items aren’t removed. I also found the Stimpack recipe

"I want to earn the trust of god" Another great saying by oxhorn
Also can we talk about the fact that Elijah is in pretty much every DLC? Like my favorite weapon is from the old world blues and it is legit Elijahs advanced LAER
Except for Honest Hearts. Elijah has literally nothing to do with the events at Zion Canyon.
Well, Ulysses also was a tying link between the DLCs
Hell the Christian Elijah and odyssey had great connection between the DLCs
Ulysses has some sort of connection to each DLC. He knew of Elijah and was one of the people that escaped Big Mountain, Graham knows about him and mentions him, I don’t need to talk about Lonesome Road, and his involvement with each character and DLC helps cause what happens to you. That’s just great character and story building
Yeah elijah was in 3 dlcs and ulysses literally connects all 4. So im so excited that obsidian has the reigns to fallout again

This DLC seems like a reference to the city of Rapture from Bioshock
Tia AeonTM you can call that l. They do drawn inspiration from it and others too. A place of wealth and glory only to be shadowed bh greed and war
After finishing dead money recently, I would say it's like fallout, bioshock, and silent hill had a threesome and made dead money as their child. I loved it, it was a new take on the fallout universe and style, and it's scarier then most horror games. It's also quite immersive as well, most people say it's hard or crap, they just aren't used to a challenge. I am a weirdo for those games or dlc that have you start back at square one, and regathering supplies to survive.

God is such an awesome character. I really enjoyed that DLC. Hate that you couldn't go back after the main quests were done.
I was really surprised to learn dead money was considered the worst dlc for new vegas because it was my favorite.
john gun I know same. The amount of depression and at the same time story telling really shot it out at me. I'm glad I'm not the only one
john gun It is too damn hard!! And it gives almost nothing in return!
The only good thing is cheating the casinos tables and sneaking out with all the gold.
you can get a unlimited supply of healing items and a bunch of caps if you sneak out with the gold, not to mention some decent armor and guns. not too shabby of a reward tbh
The fuck you talking about? what about all that gold and ammo?
Just a little correction: Dog/God don't suffer from schizophrenia, it's more akin to a case of FEV-induced dissociative identity disorder, or DID! (which went under the old name of 'multiple personality disorder')
Thank you so much for doing this video, I love Dog/God and I wish more people talked about them! Probably one of my fave characters from New Vegas.
I started playing this dlc at level 12
Ended at level 20
I started this dlc dying every 10 minutes trying to outrun the ghosts, but not being able to because they'd hit me every time
I ended this dlc trying to outrun Elijah, but not being able because I had 37 pieces of gold on my pockets.
10/10 learned to let go of the past but not the gold lmao
i also tried outrunning the end with 37 gold bars and letting go was the hardest part. i learned a valuable lesson : carry the bare minimum
You know once in awhile i just love to come back and binge watch Oxhorns DLC playthroughs. Always brings me joy and just amazes me at how much time and effort Ox puts into these
Dead Money is my absolute FAVORITE DLC...thank you so much for making this!!! It brings me so much joy!
I so love this DLC. Story, voice acting is top notch.
I completely fangirled when I realized it was Falicia Day playing Veronica :)
The bear trap fist is really good if you have an unarmed skill of 75. The cross vats move pretty strong because you only need to cripple the limbs of the ghosts. I also have the grim rippers sprint perk and I have a guaranteed kill every time I enter vats so I never ran out of AP. I was playing in very hard btw.
*PERFECT SPOT FOR A DEAD MEME*
Thinking of it, that's not the hard part. It's letting go.

Honestly my first time playing the fallout games I didn't pay much attention to the story, and just watching your videos really opened my eyes to how much work and effort went into this game. I never realized until I watched your Veronica video about the connection she had with father Elijah and Christine it honestly blew my mind because i'm currently replaying New Vegas. I really hope the next installment in the series is as rich as you make it out to be! By the way your content is phenomenal and extremely well done.
Ah, the best DLC in the game for me. I remember my first playthrough, exploring every nook and crany for all the vending machine holotapes, the atmosphere, even the radio traps. And a good message at the end.
God I love Dead Money, it seems to get a lot of hate and I don't understand why: it's an addition to the game that provides you with an almost survival-horror type of experience that grants a nice change of pace from the vanilla Fallout experience, not to mention the characters added are fantastic, and the overall story of learning to "let go" is very engaging.
For me personally, the F:NV DLC lineup goes like this: Honest Hearts (Graham and the story of the Survivalist are really the only saving graces) < Lonesome Road (Again, Ulysses and ED-E's story save this DLC) < Old World Blues < Dead Money.
The sound of beeps haunt my dreams
That's why I HAAAAAATTTTEEEE IT!!!!
Also it's kind of confusing to navigate
Yes and no. There are a lot of breaks with New Veags that I think weakens the DLC.
For one, Dean having only one way to get his ending when you first meet him is a huge downside. In most cases you can make an early blunder and recover, or pass a skill check to change their path.
And I agree the villa segment feels survival horror esque, but the game winds up being weaker for it. I wish we could change back around later and handle these ghosts with our weapons and skills we've been building up for, either once we break inside, or if you return to the villa after the DLC
It kinda reminds me of a mini version of Metro. It seems tougher than everything else in the game, since you start with a gun you've never even seen before and are forced to pretty much restart. Which, imo, makes the reward at the end feel even better
you realize the way you wrote it makes it seem like you think honest hearts is the best with dead money being the worst?
@@Shadowwand what's worse is for dean is that you have a speech check that will make you FAIL his route, so if you make an observation about what type of explosive type he needs to kill you and you alone, and treat him very nicely everywhere else, including helping him, he'll still act like you've been picking on him the whole time, definitely should have been at least 2 screw ups, or not activating the holograms for him
Oxhorn do Tranquility Lane. It's perfect for your type of videos I can almost hear it now. Going over all the crazy different ways to do things and mess up the cul-de-sac!
I'm curious as to what would happen if you brought dog outwith Elijah's voice, then played the message to bring god out
Or vice versa
They just switch perdonalities again
When she said "rekindle old flames" Darksouls is all that went through my head
I am in love with the certain... poetry of this DLC. Notice that this DLC is surrounded by the term "letting go" and revolves around the idea of being caged by obsession with things, both of the physical and ideological variety. This is one of the many reasons new vegas is the best fallout game. I really hope oxhorn touches on this kind of poetic idea of "letting go"
After so many tries I got out with all of the gold in the vault.
be careful not to hurt dean domino's ego if you want to keep him alive. don't use any speech checks on him .
Kodie Preuett Why would I want him alive.
Im gonna have to replay the DLC on another charachter because on my playthrough I used a speech check on him and didn't know about the whole "don't use a speech check on dean" thing until it was too late. I had to kill him to move on so the only companions that I saved were christine and dog/god which was kind of frustrating because I really wanted that challenge where you save all 3 companions.
I usually kill Dean, because screw him, I save Dog/God, merging the two, I make sure to always treat Christine well and be kind, but Dean? That old bastard can join the ghosts of the Madre. I pass the speech checks, and threaten to break his legs to cooperate for the gala event. He's a jackass and like Elijah make sure his death is fitting. He dies just as he finally enters the Casino, Elijah rots in that damn vault, trapped by his greed.
fallout new vegas had by far the best DLC cuntent in video games
Kael 93 not to disagree, what about Witcher 3 dlc?
Which one is the best I didn't like honest hearts least favorite 1. Dead money 2. Old world blues 3. Lonesome road 4.honest hearts I loved dead money old world blues and lonesome road I just didn't like honest hearts as much didn't have as good of a story I liked old world blues and lonesome road the same amount but i liked dead money more they the rest
The kid with cancer really? I loved honest hearts
Kael 93 did you not enjoy point lookout?
It’s better than the other Fallouts for sure, each one is connected in some way, the huge connection is Old World Blues where it has both Elijah and Ulysses. The least connected is Honest Hearts where the only thing connecting it is when Graham mentions Ulysses in I believe 1 line and that’s it but hey! They are connected
5:31 Damn, that guy in the background is really taking the phrase "drown your sorrows" to heart...
Can I just say, 15 seconds in, hit me.
This is a DLC campaign, and you rested through the night as the invitation played... A brand new day for a brand new experience.
Good show.
I got into this story when I was wayyyy into mushrooms and acid. Lets just say it's one of the most memorable times of my gaming life.
as much as i loved this dlc, it pissed me off so much, with all the traps, poison gas, unkillable hologram douche bags, shitty weapons, scarce supplies, and those GOD DAMN COLLARS! it was by far the angriest ive ever been playing fallout
Only part I hated were those collars. If you went into the dlc with all your good equipment, where would the challenge be in that? Scarce supplies, well that means you gotta ration them and be careful with spending them. The holograms are just that sorta deal that you can't always fight your way in this dlc.The traps and poison gas are simply there to make you think and watch your step.
Getting fucking flashbacks. I already feel the pain in my butt hole. The burns of rage. The beeping of the collar. *BEEP* *BEEP* *BEEP* (Your collar is beeping faster) *BEEP* *BEEP* *BOOM*
Strong rip butthole
Strong This DLC would be leagues easier without those fucking radios.
It's leagues easier if you bother getting good at the DLC.
eyy
GO SIT IN YOUR CORNER PUNY HUMAN!
5:07 that guy in the back struggling to breath as he waits for the dialogue to end.
Nice
I got so frustrated with this dlc. I guess I was missing the point
I hope you talk about the cosmic knife in your upcoming videos. it's one of my favorite parts of the dlc.
Kenneth Loehr ah yes, the cosmic knives, I like the terminals where they complain how it cuts through everything, even kitchen plates.
for me as an got fan they are the equivalent of valyrian steel.
niko 2064 For me, they are the 1,000 degree knife.
The problem is, you can make it a thousand degree knife! (Super-heated knife)
I found that I liked this expansion more than the other two. So atmospheric.
BTW, I might have mentioned this before, but if you have a high enough Medicine, then you can pass a Medicine check to correctly suspect that his condition is due to mental and/or physical trauma, and tell that to the God personality in the police station the first time you meet him.
"This is Elijah's Chemistry Set, we recognize that name, we should know him well by now"
But I didn't know Elijah Kamski is a meth cook
When I attempted Dead Money, I saved before I went in and left Rex, my favorite companion, behind (Really not fair btw. He would have been very useful in there)
It was creepy from the start but i didn't really mind. I was stuck in the prison, trying to free Dog for a long time. I was in a stand-off with a bunch of guards I finally killed. After walking around and getting the other companions, killing a few more creatures, I got lost. I couldn't get out of an area closed in by houses and catwalks.
I went back to my save and ran away from that grate to do a different quest.
tf just use the map. Dead Money has the best story of all the dlc but the gameplay can be a bit annyoing but i was ment to be
honestly i love the new vegas dlc for the story cant wait for old world blues
Old World Blues is fantastic
this is one of the few things in new Vegas that i never finished. I tried but could never figure out how to free dog/God. only played the dlc for an hour or so and gave up. I'm excited for this video
Coffee Fresh it was as easy as going to the basement and getting a key you meme
Heugh Memepus I know. I never gave it a chance. didn't even try to. idk why. just got lazy.
Coffee Fresh It was probably too spoopy for you, I know it is for me, I'm shook
Coffee Fresh What you do to open the cage is to go into the data menu, and go to misc or whatever.
This is the best damn dlc of the whole series. Idk it has really stayed with me.
...wow that's a lot of dialogue. The Serra Madre fills you with tension and dread and then you wade thru all that info before you're back out there without a break. Ugh, I don't remember anything as claustrophobic.
Just started this today on my newest play through; absolutely adored how you split the dlc into many parts and truly delved deep into the entirety of the Sierra Madre. Another great video as always!
I love how elijah says the fev reject when god/dog is the almost perfect example of a super mutant
I'm probably going to get a lot of flack for this, but I honestly enjoyed Dead Money.
Megan Crum me too, it's hard if you picked wrong skill
It's a great DLC, the story is very well written and the atmosphere is pretty creepy
RedShift VS The first time I played it was only a few weeks ago. I was doing a vanilla play through on survival mode with a sneak sniper bace character. I found the villa to be terrifying.
Megan Crum it's not a bad DLC, it just changes the core mechanics of combat enough to make Dead Money more of a horror experience. From that perspective, it works, the Madre is a terrifying area, and unless you have high melee weapons and sneak, the entirety of this DLC becomes DAMN hard. The lack of any real healing items or places to sleep makes it even harder.
Deamons64 exactly
This is my favorite DLC! I put in many hours late at night, scared as hell while I explored this place. The atmosphere is so unique and creepy.
can you do a video about the survivalist from fallout new vegas?
Zonda Zerda Yeah
The Father in the cave
My Hentai Girl that's his second nickname :) but yes you're right
Zonda Zerda Or the one who murder them Vault 22 dwellers so hard that they think he is a evil spirit
My Hentai Girl that's a righteous vengeance they deserved every bit of it like he said in his terminals.
Zonda Zerda I'm sure he'll do a video about him
Watching oxhorn while listening at his soothing voice, it rains outside and im in a slightly dark room, on my bed watching this masterpiece lf a series.
Point of advice: Loot ALL the packs and cartons of cigarettes you find in the Mojave before starting Dead Money to increase your Madre chips supply at the start.
Sierra Madre is a horror setting done right. Such tragedy all around. It’s is a hell on earth.
In that regard, at least, it’s pretty true to life.
I've never heard play thrus in the style you do them. Super cool. I'm binging. Thanks for these they must take forever to do.
we waited how freaking long for this !?!?!? Thank the ducking heavens
I love the cloud, like it's a giant organism, feeding the Ghost People and feeding off the things they kill.
The Sierra Madre creeps me out...one of the eeriest places in the whole series imo...
Especially with those ghost people. Starts feeling like a resident evil game with your limited supplies. My favorite bit is when you get into the casino and you think you're free of them...but then you re-enter the foyer and they start *banging on the door*.
What is this, the Spencer mansion?!
