Prints are sold out. Thanks to all! Love you!
Make Something 4:06 Camera man for the win!!!!
Seriously, your grandfather is an inspiration.
22 thumbs down for for a nice video like this??? how is that possible????
If you can do this yourself then the possibilities are immense, with this idea and your own creativity you can do so much!
BOOOO to those 22 haters, you get a big thumbs up from me and I also ask my fellow viewers on this video to give a thumbs up!
Such a great video from a quick and dirty brainstorming session with Jimmy and Bob.
Your Granddad is awesome, and this is a great video about his phrase! Well done!
When we listened to the Podcast and heard you guys talking about this, we couldn't have imagined that these would have come out looking so cool. That is a great way to capture such a fantastic saying from your Grandpa!
Thank you!
Dude this might be your best video ever. I have been pumped to see it ever since that episode. I'm glad everything worked out perfectly. The Osage Orange is beautiful. The stamping montage was awesome. The prints look amazing. Dan did a great job. Absolutely knocked it out of the park. If you can keeping it moving here you can keeping it moving anywhere.
😁 Thanks Corey!
I feel terrible that the prints sold out so soon. Would have loved one hanging in my shop. "Keep Moving" is my new mantra after my surgery and something I have to tell myself every day. I saw that someone put a note here saying a collaboration with you and your Grandfather would be great. I second that! I'd live to see the two of you work together.
Hope you and your family had a wonderful Christmas and I look forward to your many projects and the inspiration you give to myself and many others, in 2019. Thanks for all you do!
Dave, I received my print in the mail....... Beautiful. My dad will enjoy it framed and you inspire me to keep learning. Thank you.
Oh man, thank you so much!!
love the message from your grandfather :)
I listened to podcast and was cool to be part of hearing the idea then waiting for project to come out
Terrific video David! Glad that I am not the only one that makes mistakes like that. I agree with your Grand Dad, "KEEP MOVING" & "KEEP MAKING" for as long as you can. I am in awe that he is still in the wood shop at age 96. Most of us will never get that far along in life.................. :)
The simplest sayings are often the best. Love seeing the idea from the podcast take shape.
Gotta love that music and camera / editing work! KEEP MOVING!
If this was an improv project you did absolutely great...
I had to hit pause just to comment “that drawer is ridiculous!” But the video and the project are awesome! I love how you are honoring your grandpa and all the great work he does! Great video! 👍🏻
Shout out to you grandfather. I don't have an older generation left in my life, and really resect the older generation. A lot can be learned and helpful in our generation... like "Keep Moving". Very cool project, and good work.
I always enjoy your videos and humor. Keep moving.
Love your Grandpa! He is an inspiration.
You and your grandpa are so inspiring, love it! I cannot wait for your music channel.
When you shadow-lined the wrong side... "Keep Moving"... lol. Great improv vid, David. Nice work!
Way to wing it! Too often I feel this way, full time job, kids, other responsibilities, sometimes I just need a break and having to wing a project like this is what I do, I’ll keep this one in mind thank you
Awesome! Thanks David. Thanks for the tip on negative space and things being "trapped" . it was helpful.
Thanks to your Grandpa for the quote. I always have said that during cold weather. To keep warm you gotta keep movin'.
Gotta keep moving all the time in order to accomplish anything.
You should make a stencil and spray paint everything with that quote. One up Diresta. Hahaha.
I'm serious though. Patent that stuff!
"KEEP MOVIN!"
🍻
Great project David! So cool to hear you guys talk about this on the podcast last week and now see the build!
Oh man! I have this project on my list of video projects as well. Block printing is a really cool process
"Keep Moving" Love it great motto. I'm keeping at it as much as I can
Keep moving. Grandpa is a wise man. Trying to remember if you showed that trick for holding nails with tape in your big frame making vid. Brilliant idea. Thanks for sharing!
that was my first time using that trick. I had mixed success with it.
I can't say enough how much I love this mantra.
I love how you slowly changed the ink color every few prints!
#bobross #happylittleclouds #keepmoving
Love your sense of humor in these videos David. Cool project too!
Listened to the podcast earlier this week. It turned out great.
Love the video of your grandfather, I had to watch it again.
Great message and awesome project! A 2 for 1! 👊🏻
Cannot wait for mine to show up. Awesome tribute to your grandpa.
Thank you!!!
Turned out amazing
Awesome way to do it! Love the camera angles and all the commentary too. Truly appreciate it!
Very nice mood-fixing video and I LOVE the music! keep up!
Great story and project. Thanks for sharing.
Best video yet man, absolutely love the simplicity of it and your take on how to go about it. Keep Moving!
Love it. Vance and I did t-shirts like this once and we used the drill press as a jig. I want you to use grandpa's "keep moving" as a sample in future music.
Deal!
That was awesome! I loved being able to see/hear the process from beginning to end!!
Thanks!
That's awesome man great way to keep moving
Fun video as usual David! Can’t wait to receive my print. Cheers from Australia
Thank you!!!
Awesome project!!! Couldn’t wait to see how you did this after listening to the podcast!! Love it! Great edit
Good project, as always ! Thanks for sharing and Happy Holidays !
Awesome!
That was a fun vid. Everyone seems to being doing cnc lately. Good one for peeps that have limited tools.
Excited to see this video after hearing the podcast! Turned out really good, solid content! Great edit!
Love the font! Just need it to be larger!
Very nice and good to see your gram paw in there with you
Great video as always, (the edit was on fire today) but it was really interesting to here it from an idea on the podcast and see it through to a finished project
Anytime you can include family or friends into your projects it adds something special to it.
I thought I was the only person that could break a band saw blade during a project like that. Lol
Nice quick project. Thanks for sharing it.
Blade broke when I wasn't even pushing wood through it. That was a first.
@@worker2004 - I have done that but I think it was the tension of the blade. I found out that if you have too much or not enough can cause blades to break.
@@MakeSomething - Sounds like a problem I had once. Too much or not enough tension was causing blades to pop. I couldn't figure out what was causing the issue. I ended up giving away and getting a new one. Come to find out there was a problem with the tension adjustment mechanism.
Once again....
Another AMAZING video!!!
I absolutely love that You incorporate family, friends, influences, ect.
You're Grandpa is Wisdom.
You can't teach wisdom....
And You are a block off the ol'block...
Dude, if We lived closer to one another, we'd be Bros!
Thanks again for the inspiration,
Merry Christmas to You and Your Wife!!!
Thank you!! Merry Christmas!
Very cool!
That turned out great. That music is cool too. : )
"Well I wasn't expecting Dan to show up and I haven't really planned anything, so let me just throw together an utterly fantastic video for you guys to enjoy right before Christmas." Another home run, well done sir and a Merry Christmas to you and yours!
Cute!!
Very, Very, Very Good my friend.
Dude that turned out AWESOME! =D
Great creative vid thanks😎👍👍
Nicely done David! 👍🏻👊🏻
Thanks!
Oh, that drawer. Don’t look at that, just keep moving. I was going to cut some letters too and the sandpaper on the bench is a trick I needed!
Great video and tribute to your grandfather. As always, I enjoyed it. One tip when applying an removing that template: Put masking tape on the wood first. Then apply the template to the masking tape. After everything is cut, simply peel off the masking tape. No heat gun required.
Great !!
Very cool
Awesome always interesting
Very cool....
You could take it a step further and vacuum form some letters to batch out 3D signs!
this turned out great. you should have camera man Dan surprise visit you ever now and again and see what you can make.
Good mantra... sounds to me like a good sub-title for a secondary channel. -
Just thinking out loud.
Great vid! Killer edit and prob my fav video in the new shop! Felt like a throwback to you and Eric goofing in the basement. Except now you and Dan above ground! Btw, hope you do the 2 part idea you threw out in the podcast :)
Gotta love a 2-for-1 video! It was definitely cool to hear the idea start in the podcast and then watch it being made. I'm slightly bummed you didn't mix chicken feathers in with the resin, but it all came out great!
😉
Please do a collaboration with your grandpa!
would love to see a vid of the old guy following you around barking orders !
I find it easier if you cover your wood in painters tape, then spray/stick your paper to that. When it comes time to clean up the painters tape pulls right off.
feliz Natal para você e sua família e todos do canal sucesso.
"Just let me grab my lie nielsen chisels out of the drawer here" lmao
hey! so GREAT video :-)
Heard it on the Pod, saw it on the Tube
I hope the framed sign is for grampa for Christmas. 👍
Great project, love to see you getting into printmaking! I saw on IG you got some more tools, you should also check out some Dockyard Micro tools for those tiny details, they work great. Awesome that you're branching out in the projects!
Right on, thanks!! I've got a lot to learn!
Somedays, "The Force" is just not with you..........way to power through and stay with the project. I'm glad everything sold out! Nice video. DD
So glad you explained “bubs” 😝😝😝😝😝😝
OMG, 1:14.. 😂 literally crying laughing. Always entertaining Dave👍🏻👍🏻
Hey Dave, way to wing it brother! How bout some “Keep Moving” T-shirt’s? I’d buy one for sure! Just a thought. Great video!
The editing is especially good in the beginning. Not that it isn't throughout, I just had to let you know before I made it very far.
Music so good.
Thank you!
I'd like to see your Grandfather in your shop on a collaboration project David. Thank him for his service.
Awesome! Any idea if the technique works with textiles? Like printing on T-shirts?
I would guess it doesn't. Textiles works better with screen printing.
You should do a video with your grandpa.
If you can keep movin' it here...
😉
How'd you like working with osage orange?
Dude, is that a quarter rest on your left arm? That's cool!
Yep!
👍🏼👍🏼
Legit
Love it! Can you tell me what kind of torch that is? Never had one - and I'm confused with all the choices out there.
Looks like a Bernz-O-Matic butane torch, I have one just like it. Use it all the time.
Quick tip: If you have trouble getting it to light, press the button more slowly. Took me a little while to figure that out.
Hilarious!
So did you make it 6 hours? hahaha. Nice one Mr. Picciuto!
As a long time scroller, cover the wood with blue painter's tape first then the glued pattern.
Great tip! Thanks!
Where is that wood grown?
Ha! I would have completely flipped out when the band saw blade went. Yes, the screws are probably too tight. Woodworking helps.
Make the stamp slow mo!
