Love this series so much, can't fathom why only one season was made. I WISH they could gather the producing and acting team together to make one more series, even a limited one, if only to wrap things up for the many fans who loved it and were traumatized at the abrupt stoppage (non-ending) of the episodes, leaving us dangling forever.

I never in my lifetime saw so many sleezy characters gathered in one place - everybody seems to have a psychological drama playing inside, which makes them instable, scheming, and ... horrible creatures :-)
I live in Barbados and just watched all 8 episodes of the palace it was fantastic ,I could not get anything done , just had to see what happened next , are there anymore episodes?? Well done 👍

The TV car have to have both to be driven on public roads(not a mistake) If they do not they can only do the shoot on a film set or private estate. That was why. Also the have 3 motorbike cops, 2 in front and one following.

Yes it's just dramatization of Royal life for television entertainment I know. But when a Priest, blah blah comes in and says, "it was God's will that he is now King", I lose it. Which is why I question every Religious priest of the 100's of Religions in the world. How can there be so many different beliefs without proof. It's all to do with controlling people to do what the clergy want, To control and suppress humanities advancement to a better understanding of life and future. Blind them with stories to support a higher purpose that is unrealistic. Keep them ignorant and they will be Happy is So wrong and deadly.
I suspect the reason this show didn't work was because It didn't decide whether to be serious or be a parody. So it ended up being a messy jumble. If the former you have to suspend believe, is so poorly done with no royal technical advice whatsoever. And for a parody it's not racy nor funny enough. Being a british show I expected better. That said, this is a guilty pleasure, like popcorn with too much butter.
It suffered from being about a subject that too much was already known. That why historical drama work so well. We have papers, radio and tv and now the internet. To much is known about the Royals today( last week Philip hit a car in his land rover and got another 2 days later).
