9 years later....so happy you posted this series. I've never even heard of it and can't stop watching...😢but know all good things must end. Rhank you for sharing this wonderful era series. I want MORE!🤗
Nearly halfway through; all is not well on Berkeley Square! What a wonderful series. Showing the reality of servant life unsoftened like on Downton Abbey. Thank you so much for posting this extraordinary series.
When I was 6 weeks old my wealthy mother took me to a specialist because I cried at night. I was told he said I was Spoilt. Nearly 80 years on I have been happy on and off but at this moment I wish I had friends.
It is painful to feel alone. Life can mean we lose friends in many different ways. It gets harder as we get older I find to make new ones no matter how many acquaintances we have. I hope you will be blessed with at least one good friend. I recently found again my best friend from school which has made me very happy though it is now 50 years later.
35:04 great acting on both parts. Mr fowler really knows how to deal with Nanny Collins! Great script. Thanks for uploading! I really enjoyed this series!
I LOVE THE DRESSES, THEY LOOK SO ELEGANT AND YET VERY FRAGILE, I ENJOY BEING SWALLOWED INTO THIS ERA, WITH ALL THEIR ELEGANCE, PATIENCE, AND MANNERS, I TRULY WISH THE HULLIGANISM OF OUR ERA, COULD ADOPT A FEW OF THOSE TIMES CHARACTARISTICS, THANK U FOR GIVING ME THE PLEASURE OF ENJOYING LOOKING BACK TO THOSE YEARS..
Hannah Dror The female member's of the aristocracy ,were not adverse to a extra portion of cock on the side!!!...despite the fragile, timid, and elegant mask they always portrayed .They were no different to the present day ,and the more rude it was the better.
Well, I can understand your point of view to a certain stage. But openly speaking you have to be aware that there wasn't all roses and romance. If you weren't born into the right circle life was certainly hard. London had slums, diseases and problems en masse. PS: Is there a reason you are "SHOUTING"?
I'm loving this series!! There aren't many series like this to be enjoyed but at least there are some. The characters and the story are very interesting, they really managed to make it look like that period, it seems natural to them.
What a wonderful series. Thank you! One slight history blip though. The relief of Mafeking took place in 1900 during the "Second Boer War"... Lord Hugh would have remembered it clearly as everyone did of his class... I wonder if the Aunt meant the Zulu Wars of the late 1870's? According to the program notes the time frame here is 1902. All in all beautifully done.
Victoria would do well to remember that guilty people should never aggravate anyone who has access to their secrets. If I were her, I would not be accusing my staff of ridiculous things like "consorting" I would have them on holiday every week so when the time came when they had to lie to my husband about the things they have seen and heard, they would not disappoint.
Hmm I think your husband should be worried about you... You seem to have a long term plan. lmao. But also from another view point. Guilty people are always accusing others of what they are doing. Because they think everyone thinks like them. Thank the person who uploaded. Great for 2nd lockdown Christmas time.
You're not supposed to leave young babies to cry, it's bad for their developments. Once they are older it's OK to do controlled crying but not at first.
I vaguely remember a scene in 'Gone with the Wind', where Rhett- who's travelling & at that moment, living in England- freaks out that Bonnie was having a nightmare, after he'd already told the nanny that the nursery light was to be left on; yet she'd ignored his rule & suggested the child be left to 'scream for a night or two', & that his catering to her on the matter would have Bonnie grow up 'cowardly' & easily frightened- & he fires her on the spot, saying, 'there's not a cowardly bone in her body' - she couldn't have been any older than 6, I don't think...
At 17, I used to read Barbara Cartland novels, set in times like these. Times were hard for poor and even rich. I like period dramas. I used to wish I was born in the 1800's. Medical records show how horrific it was.
He's not exciting enough for her. What I don't like is the way that she treats Nanny. The woman feels guilty for the way she neglects her children and for being like her mother so, rather than praising Nanny for doing a good job the woman runs nanny down. The wife can't bear the fact that Nanny is a better mother than she is.
I just realized that Victoria has, in a way, come down in the world (likely because of her mother's scandal) by marrying Arnold, a draper's son. She has an aristocratic relative, but couldn't marry one. And now she's doing the same thing.
Hey! Can someone explained what happened to the baby Charlie at 18:51? Sorry I don’t understand what kind of sickness he had. Also, do you have an idea what she gave him?
They have a sound problem in these BBC movies. They are far too loud! The microphones ought not be. Down so low ad to pick up every crackle of foot fall be it person or horse.
The character of Mistress St. John is horrible...makes you feel so sorry for her husband. If only she would get caught in her adultery. And the nanny Simmons is an odious character...a child abuser. It will be so satisfying if she finally gets ejected from that house before the series ends.

HELP ! I am trying to figure out the various characters. Who (the actress) plays the obnoxious Nanny with the glasses ? She is an older woman, quite tall, usually shown in the Kitchen and has dark hair. Even knowing her name in the series would help and then I could search for her. I have seen her in several other BBC Dramas. This is driving me bonkers!
+Mary B. Goouch That would be Nanny Simmons, who is abusive to children. Dark hair, tall, glasses, and who stole the silver cup to buy a hat. The actress is Ruth Sheen. Nanny Simmons works with Hannah Randall, the red-haired freckled nanny who has a baby in hiding.
Those 2 having the open affair are pathetic. Her husband say's and I quote"Thank goodness the children didn't embarrass us" No, they may not have, but your wife's doing a good job of that.!!!

I love this drama series, so peaceful and calming❤️ Little Bertie is so adorable!
Nearly halfway through; all is not well on Berkeley Square! What a wonderful series. Showing the reality of servant life unsoftened like on Downton Abbey. Thank you so much for posting this extraordinary series.
Thrilling. I don't want this series to end.
Did you try Downton Abby?
When I was 6 weeks old my wealthy mother took me to a specialist because I cried at night. I was told he said I was Spoilt. Nearly 80 years on I have been happy on and off but at this moment I wish I had friends.
It can be lonely to not have friends. I hope you have found some now.

I really enjoyed this series!
I liked the contrast in the park between the three young governesses on one bench and their elder peers on the other, with a red head in each group.

Hannah Dror
No you wouldnt want to be back in that time because mostly you would just be a scullery maid
+SUPERSPORTS
A bit of a sudden Judgement! How d you know that Hannah would not be a "LADY" ?o
Hannah Dror .. The Kardashians believe that the bustles are actually real. They have disfigured themselves to look like them!
Hannah Dror The female member's of the aristocracy ,were not adverse to a extra portion of cock on the side!!!...despite the fragile, timid, and elegant mask they always portrayed .They were no different

🤭
Thank you so very much for sharing this delightful miniseries. I am thrilled to have found it.
Es una serie excelente, en licaciones, vestuario pero lo mejor son las actuaciones. Fabulosa. Gracias.
Tengo que decir que esta serie es un placer. Muchas gracias por subirla!🙏❤️
What an amazing series that was only one season??!!!!!!!!! Why does BBC always do that. I don't understand.
+TheMinoom
Oh Dear ! I just discovered this. Is there only ONE SEASON ?
TheMinoom
Because they're assholes such as they portray on film.
FanOF THE ALMIGHTY GOD
LOL I had to leave a like for that
I am enjoying this series. Thanks so much for the download.
Omg I couldn't believe the conditions that woman kept those poor children!!
I know!
Such an evil character.
Locking the toy box was another level of child abuse.
Top quality. Captivating, interesting and most enjoyable 👍😊. Thank you 🙏

Marieda Parellio Victoria is stupid and being used!!

I'm enjoying this show so much!
💞 Thank you for uploading this! Great series.
My Favorite country movie thank u so much am enjoying my Friday night 02-02-2019💐🌷🌹🌺🌹🌺💐🌷💐🌷🍾🍾🍾💐🌷
Wow, thank you very much for your effort in uploading this wonderful series~!
+David Copperfield Thank you, I'm glad you liked it.
De época Oh, yes, thank you so much!
Exquisite costumes and millinery. Louis Vuitton trunks. Men in white tie for dinner. 😍
One of the best series ever filmed!!!!
Mrs St John's dressmaker hates her. Nothing fits right and they're all over decorated and frumpy. Karma!
I’m glad they showed that baby farmer. Many children died in their care. Amelia Dyer killed a huge number of children in her “care”.
The lady who is having an affair with the captain is such an arrogant cold fish. Yuck.
Never in my life I have not seen in a movie such un ugly woman as Victoria.
TheMinoom ŵ
Thank you for uploading this series. I have so enjoyed it.
Cada vez me engancho más con ésta miniserie!! Me encanta!! Gracias!
loved this series, all 3 times I watched it...but wow they had strange ideas on child/baby rearing
I know, like why have kids if they're going to be with a nanny 24/7 then off to boarding school?
👍👌👏 Thanks a lot for uploading and sharing this great old series.
Best regards, luck and health in particular.
Great series. Thanks so much for sharing
Love the words of wisdom (aka constructive criticism) of Nanny Collins. 👒

that is absolutely true.
@@harmoniabalanza True, they didn't know that in those times.
I prefer Upstairs and Downstairs... Who remembers? Thank you, I' ll watch Berkeley:)

still watching. more intregue as we go along.
thank you for the free view.
God bless
Great series thanks for uploading it
I love Fowlers character development over the series..he's a gem
the poor children and babies😮😢
Great series. thanks so much for uploading
Thanks for uploading!!!
im pretty sure the actress who plays isabel (sophie walker) is the same sophie who is now on masterchef.
TheMissrebecca101 .. Which goes to show that she is an actress not a real cook or judge.
Excelente❤️
I'm getting confused -- lost track of which nanny is looking after which kids and at which address they all live --- must be my age !!!
Do not fear I am in the same position. Keep having to pause it to mentally review the characters.
I was just leaving a similar comment.
I am all mixed up about who lives where and with whom and whose nannie belongs to which family.
Must be my age.
Que buena serie!!
I feel sorry to husband who his wife got affair with captain.
I feel sorry even for the captain who had to kiss such un ugly woman as Victoria.Yeah!
I feel sorry for him too, seems like such a nice man. The captain, if he makes out with Victoria, he probably has a lot of girls on the side.
He's too stupid not to notice.
Like these series but the babies never seem to grow
thanks for posting
25:48 I don't believe they had pre glued envelopes that you lick in 1902. LOL. Somebody messed up.
Lickable envelopes have been around since the 1830s. Surprising but true.
thanks!!!!!
I never have let babies cry...not my nieces and nephews,or my own three kids or my five grandchildren or four great grandchildren....
Love it, thank you 😊
I just realized that Victoria has, in a way, come down in the world (likely because of her mother's scandal) by marrying Arnold, a draper's son. She has an aristocratic relative, but couldn't marry one. And now she's doing the same thing.
The old Nanny was in Room w/a View. The young Nanny was in Ballykidsangel.
Great series ❤
Great drama, thank you ..........
Sexual attraction is a powerful lure. It makes people do crazy things. It's best to avoid that kind of crazy and drive yourself insane instead.
Hey! Can someone explained what happened to the baby Charlie at 18:51? Sorry I don’t understand what kind of sickness he had. Also, do you have an idea what she gave him?
My guess is that the baby choked on phlegm or mucus, and wasn’t breathing anymore.
It could have been something else
Godfrey’s cordial was basically opium and the older nanny was drugging him. IMO that’s what happened
Well done BBC (from the days before tjh BBC was woke left and was simply good).
They have a sound problem in these BBC movies. They are far too loud! The microphones ought not be. Down so low ad to pick up every crackle of foot fall be it person or horse.
It's Reeny!
" *What's is the East End? Is it where they have princes riding on elephants?* "
thanks for posting.
Great play
Thank you ❤❤❤
Another British film good cast
good video

I love the womens clothes in this series
Can I get suggestions on what to watch after this series please
“Prince Regent” is free on UA-cam. Great fun! 👍💕
11:27 to 19:08 what an artistic bothersome film scene. 🎞️
Absolutely brilliant.

I didn't know I came from English noble blood....lol
I presume, you are also related to James Hutchinson, founder of "HUTCH" Brand cellfones, first cellfones for India🇮🇳.
HELP ! I am trying to figure out the various characters.

Did someone say French Maid?
How did the name "sin jin" derive from St. James?
It's from St. John, and they just run it together.
Classic
Those 2 having the open affair are pathetic.
Her husband say's and I quote"Thank goodness the children didn't embarrass us"
No, they may not have, but your wife's doing a good job of that.!!!
In those days they always blamed the men. The females were just as bad
femme fa·tale is not something anyone should desire to be. That staement is very out of place.
Delicious...
Wake up Lydia..
Apenas empece a verla, me encantó , pero voy a dejar de verla porque no me gusta ver sufrir a los niños a las niñeras.
Seasons change but infants don't age. Little details make a story rich or not. So very many ugly personalities.
Don't give babies laudunum
