Too bad the broadcasters can't read the positive reviews and inquiries for more, I agree with someone below, so much fun and wish it could have continued, thanks for uploading, great random find
The first couple of episodes were wicked satire, almost as if they pitched It that way to get the project funding, from then on It's been unfunny and serious, and quite absorbing. A bit like a palace version of Dowton Abbey.
This is SO bad, yet at the same time, a delicious guilty pleasure. The writers and actors are terribly talented--it's just an insanely inaccurate portrayal of life in that particular milieu. I'd class it as a well written, witty soap opera. It's too bad that it didn't get picked up for a second season. It's a lot of fun. Light entertainment, whilst still touching on important moral and ethical issues. And, I like that they actually decided to make the hero a true hero, instead of an anti-hero. Sure he has a past, but he's earnest and moral. It's refreshing to see that in these days of celebrating manipulation, cowardice, backstabbing and all other manner of villainy ;)
To Miss JessyeNorman and Gerrit D'hondt, that's another Hear Hear! from me. Such a shame it wasn't deemed worthy of a second season. If they tried it now I suspect it would be presented as a rather more crass and coarse piece. Whatever the nonsense here, it's GOOD nonsense, well written, with a tongue wonderfully in cheek. I love my "deliciously guilty pleasure" :-D
FrenchArtAntiques Paris Well, not all. What about the sex and the backstabbing? They do mention but didn't show drug use/abuse, and they don't have people chain-smoking on tv anymore, so that part is missing. The British royals do like their drinks and smokes. Princess Margaret in particular could hit her substances pretty hard.
brilliantly written and absolutely entertaining I only wish it were longer. Kinda makes me wish I were royalty ... simply so that I could have a friend like Abigail - lol I enjoyed the fiction of this series and want to see more. Is this all of it then? 8 episodes?? Anyhow, thanks for sharing :o)
i think Eleonor is a daughter of the queen first love which the queen cried abouton the news paper not the kings daughter.im new here i just found this series
Me too Cyrene, but I've watched it more than twice now. Eleanor craves to become the Queen of the country, but her mother and the whole country want Richard, her first brother to be the King, so in her plots to overthrow her brother's reign, she is doing anything to sabotage that, including destroying her mother's reputation in the process. U will figure it as U watch.
Not even remotely enough observation to make that diagnosis. She acts more like an intelligent person whose opinion goes against those in power, feeling the helplessness of going up against craziness.
The Royal Siblings are portrayed as being on the level of the Kardashians: undereducated and shiftless. However, I do agree with the younger sister: under the circumstances, it is time for this kingdom (whatever it is supposed to be -the Magic Kingdom at Disneyland perhaps?) to become a Republic. C'mon. This isn't even well-written fiction, but I admit to being hooked.
So good choice, Abby. Who wants to be with a man so childish and violent that he would kick over a table and destroy the things on top, when things do go his way. Who knows what he would do if it was a person.
Isabella was based on the late princess Diana, even the lines are almost the same, " they think I am mad and going are to get me" was from Andrew Morton` s book on her.
Now with Donny and family, that would be VERY entertaining. But I wouldn't like them to invade my living room, not even on TV. It's enough to watch them in the news every day, uninvited.
I have enjoyed all the episodes. My only observation is that everybody seems to be drinking too much alcohol in almost every scene!!! Quite a bad influence to the young ones who watch movies such as this!!!
Really, what did Abby think would happen eh? Now, she a fly in the web, and it will not end well. Royals, all down through the ages, have been SO fucked up.
Too bad there’s no Season 2. The two Princesses are weird. One too ambitious and unstable and the other one is raggedy anne poor little rich girl and unstable.
It could have been better if there will be another episode portraying Richard as doing his duty officially as the crowned king and more appearance of abby and richard as they develoved their relationship.
I LUV how The Brits drink beer all day and night ,,,its Sooo German,,,I think Evil Hitler made a comment that both nations had a lot in common,,,sausage ,,Beer etc,,however I PREFER the well spoken well hygiene English Women who bathe twice a day,,and use The Queens English,,
Err....we don't drink beer all day. It's usually saved for binging on Friday and Saturday nights. I'm surprised that the royals are drinking beer. I would have expected gin, vodka whiskey or wine.
Am I the only one who enjoyed this for the fiction without comparing it to the real monarchy?
I was... but just today is unavoidable to recall the Megxit
Whatever the flaws, I honestly enjoyed all eight episodes. Thank you for uploading and sharing. Is there more? I hope so!

Lovely fairy tale to relax for a while. Being grandma age I love this charming young boy with innocent smile... ;)
I love love this movie... can't wait to see what's going to happen next. thanks for uploading 😀
Its so much FUN...wish there were more
As an American I think this series is very entertaining. I can see why it might be sensitive in the UK though.
i love this show!!!
💖 love this little series
This Simon is such a traitor and a hypocrite, Abbi should just give back a taste of his own bloody medicine.

Susan St John Johnny Cage child abuse.
"No, I have no plans.." and with that Abi has sealed her fate....
No sense of self-preservation.
As an American, forgive me, I love all things British. I think this show is entertaining.
Eleanor the cow plays the part well!!
Izzy doesn't want power at all.
Eleanor is too power hungry.
Jeeez.
Izzy's the sane one.
this oldest daughter is like a pain that does"t go away or a pain where a pill won"t work lol
Thanks alot for this❤
Eleanor, So Beautiful, So Evil--Sheesh!
MissJessyeNorman Iago in a skirt.
qhsperson lol, too true.
I love Abigail , and the queen and princess are so beautiful.
HI
The Queen is Jane Asher. ex of Sir Paul Mc Cartney of Beatle fame! Shalom to us only in Christ Yeshua.
Every drink, every drunk all day, and day after day!!!
All they do is drink on this series....
FrenchArtAntiques Paris Well, not all. What about the sex and the backstabbing? I'm sure princess izzy was indeed reading the guardian ...
brilliantly written and absolutely entertaining I only wish it were longer. Kinda makes me wish I were royalty ... simply so that I could have a friend like Abigail - lol

I thought Izzy's friend had a nicer apartment than any of the rooms the royals live in.
Canada agrees with you here here....
if only the real royals where this good looking
I like how Richard resembles Edward VIII.
This Eleanor is such a conniving woman, she plots, she plans and she is deceitful.
i think Eleonor is a daughter of the queen first love which the queen cried abouton the news paper not the kings daughter.im new here i just found this series

This King is too handsome compared to the real royal prince of Wales.
She has bi-polar condition. The excessive alchol and mood swings increase her anxiety.
Not even remotely enough observation to make that diagnosis. She acts more like an intelligent person whose opinion goes against those in power, feeling the helplessness of going up against craziness.
Izzy needs treatment ASAP.

Screw being a republic. Hasn't really worked out for most other countries in Europe.
I for one am glad its not accurate makes it even better...now we need another Christian Gray type novel.

20:01 eleanor snorting
It;s really good for a fiction lol if this was about The presidency here in the U.S. it would be a hit.
Now with Donny and family, that would be VERY entertaining. But I wouldn't like them to invade my living room, not even on TV. It's enough to watch them in the news every day, uninvited.
justin Krenke West Wing.
Because its a job!!
The youngest sister was definitely a big mistake in the script. Too stupid.
andreasegde Not stupid. She reminds me of Princess Stephanie of Monaco in her younger days when she was finding herself, as it were.
lol u have got to stop reading the guardian...
Hhihihi
I have enjoyed all the episodes. My only observation is that everybody seems to be drinking too much alcohol in almost every scene!!! Quite a bad influence to the young ones who watch movies such as this!!!
Hi, How can I get the full series of THE PALACE, all seasons. It is so interesting.
Elenor resembles Cersei Lannister.
@misterbonzai08 Your video is no longer available! What was it about?

Yes you Would Want To Be Sorry Rose.......................
ITV4 I think it was called? I4TV that channel
No they can't or they would have don't you think, especially in the years following Charles and Diana's seperation and divorce?
yeah I take it as a pretty bad smear-job
Really, what did Abby think would happen eh? Now, she a fly in the web, and it will not end well. Royals, all down through the ages, have been SO fucked up.
Did RF get some ideas from this show?
If I remember it wasn't very successful in the UK so was scrapped after one series
Too bad there’s no Season 2. The two Princesses are weird. One too ambitious and unstable and the other one is raggedy anne poor little rich girl and unstable.
Is this true story?
No one can be trusted, I don't like neither one of them... I've watch up to 7 episodes
They drink too much beer. Is this beer healthy?
It could have been better if there will be another episode portraying Richard as doing his duty officially as the crowned king and more appearance of abby and richard as they develoved their relationship.
Blimey they talk slowly.
hard not to compare, but, i compare it to the turdor reign, same shit different time
Butter Bean
Dreadful!
