As I watch, I am immediately taken back to late night in the resort - while my parents are asleep, of me watching it on low volume…over and over…being so excited for the next day. Wholesome memories.
Takes me back to a simpler time - boy we did not know how good we had it back then before social media and phones took over.
I couldn't like this video more!! This is the WDW that I fell in love with years ago! Thank you for posting this gem!
Its amazing how much WDW has changed in the last 20 years!
+Ronan King I know! I love to watch this and remember the good times. :-)
Ronan King yup
S2iAM's WDW Page that’s what’s going on now
@@ResortTV1 same
This was the '90s but looks like and has the charm of the '70s or even before.
Ahhh! The Disney World of my youth. Loved the EPCOT segment.
this is the greatest video i've ever seen.
+Deobolique Rogers It's one of my favorites too!
ResortTV1 me too
Disney World fun trivia!
The voice heard starting at 21:42 during the "Special Report" is the same actor who would eventually end up narrating the Monorail spiel that was used from 2005-2011 -- Joe Hursh!
Back in the 90s, my late father worked for WDW, working in their Entertainment Division. We lived far enough away that the odd hotel stay was feasible. So mom and I would often sit in the hotel room at Dixie Landings (Port Orleans Riverside), Port Orleans (French Quarter), or All Star Music, and to keep me pacified mom would let me watch this channel repeatedly for hours. I clearly remember waiting anxiously for the MGM Studios (Hollywood Studios) segment for that brief few seconds of Star Tours to pop up.
Great memories.
This is awesome! Thank you. We went to WDW in 1995 so this would have been playing when we were there.
+Vaughn Radi You are very welcome! We went in 1995 as well, and I definitely remember this. :-)

ResortTV1 yup
Thank you so much for this memory ❤❤❤❤
"where you will escape tricky trolls" in the Norway pavilion is what I remember the clearest about this year! This was sadly my last year to Disney World for a good decade.
1:53 Darkwing Duck dabs.
Thank you for taking the time to share these videos!!
You are very welcome! This is my favorite! :-)
This is the best video I've ever seen.
Thanks! It's one of my favorites too!
Rubyfalls yup
ResortTV1 me too
Its amazing how I can find hust about anything on UA-cam...this literally brings back the most personal, recessed memories that just instantly come flooding back...i was so happy to be staying in out Old Key West or Wilderness Lodge villa I could watch this channel.over and over again. I feel bad my kids won't get the WDW experience I did when I sold my dads Vacation Club membership but there's more to life than just Disney every year
Oh wow! That’s awesome exactly how I feel when I watch this one! Thank you for your comment!
I saw this back in 1995 when visit relatives in Disney's Caribbean Resort.
This is one of my favorite versions of the Resort TV. :-)
@@ResortTV1 The "resort talk" is my favorite part. What a ludacris show idea lol and next episode is a goofy tell all, on a resort tv show? Its the perfect mix of corny and disney lol
well that made me realise how poor the entertainment is in the parks now. who was behind the decision to run Epcot into the ground?
MrDirkles Walt originally wanted EPCOT as a city, called Experimental Prototype Community Of Tomorrow. But sadly right after he died I heard for some reason the government wouldn't allow it to be built, so his brother just went on and built the Magic Kingdom. The park was originally called EPCOT Center, now it's just called EPCOT, and I think the idea is genius. Even if it isn't Walt's original idea, it's better as a park than nothing!
+Katrina Felix Epcot has been a victim of poor management by the Orlando management team and by Disney itself. They think that all people are interested in now are characters and princesses. Even though Epcot wasn't the same as Walt's dream, it was still pretty cool in the 80's and 90's before they started adding characters to it.
ResortTV1 But don't you think they started adding characters to make it feel more like Disney? I actually like that idea. I guess to each their own though
+Katrina Felix You could be right. It's just that some of us miss the old Epcot from the 80's and 90's that was more intellectual and educational. The Magic Kingdom is a wonderful and magical place for characters and all of the great Disney stories! However, I'm just not sure we need to make Epcot more like Magic Kingdom by adding more characters and movie stuff. Then all of the parks will end up too similar in my opinion. They need to all have a unique focus, and Epcot's focus used to be education and technology. I just miss it. I'll still go and have a good time, but I'll always miss the old educational focus.
+Katrina Felix Don't get me wrong. I respect your opinion, I'm just letting you know how I feel about it. :-)
Hopper challenge. really neat to see disney history
Love the archive footage. Had to look up what the Disney Institute Resort was. And Wait JD Roth of Funhouse game was on the Disney resort channel?
we interrupted our programming for american express commercial
Love these videos Josh!!
That’s awesome! This is my favorite!
@@ResortTV1 The narration and detail in these videos are stunning! It really gives you a good idea of what WDW was like at the time!
I am having a WDW Resort TV Marathon today :)
Yes! I love this one too!
Same
2:28 the rct3 fireworks sound effect 😩
14:35 all the great water, shows River Country.
I would record a 360 pov of the Timekeeper if i have the Timekeeper's power of going back in time, would you?
Always weird how they'd be showing the stuff for other hotels. If you were watching this, you were already IN a Disney hotel.
+Anynom They're just trying to show where you can stay at WDW in the future.
How did you get archives on TV back in the 90s, did you have a floppy disk or VHS TV recorder, and as this is Disney World only, you must have Disney Magic to get permission.
Blizzard Beach At 14:53
I think the last bit is from a different video? because at 23:25 I see a shot of Animal Kingdom, but it wasn't opened until 1998. the Inside Out host also refers to "4 theme parks" but earlier in the video it said "3 theme parks" because AK hadn't opened yet
+adburltv Actually, they're talking about four theme parks including Disneyland. Watch again and you'll see what I mean. Also, there isn't a shot of Animal Kingdom, they're showing a scene from the Lion King in a parade. This video is all from the same time.
13:56 I never knew that there were Ads in a Disney World guide network
Wow
When did the take the animatronics (sp?)out of The American Pavilion?
Such a shame that innoventions is now empty. Just a place to cool off now.
JeevesReturns no way ! That sucks that was my favorite place to go at Epcot
+Thomas Andersen hopefully they'll do something cool with the space. It's huge. Right now just some in the putter parts are character greeting places for pass holders or Disney Visa card holders. I'm going to drive up this weekend and check it out.
JeevesReturns that’s my sleeping bag
Hopper challenge!!
Where are these people now?
Remember the Showcase?
What happened to the host
Which host?
ResortTV1 any of them
Lotsa Sega games. I see what they did there. And then it was gone.
Yeah, it was really cool. I got to see it a few times when I was younger.
It is amazing how you have all of this though.
+Ricky Dupon This is what made me start this channel. I love this older ResortTV as much as I love Disney.
Thats amazing!
+Ricky Dupon 😀👍

Maddox Cox I just bought this year’s book since I’ll b there soon
4:18 I don't like SEGA
+Maddox Cox Me either, but the display of games back in this time period was really cool anyway.
