I think 11-year-old me would've been perfectly content sitting in the air-conditioned hotel room watching this and The Weather Channel over and over all day.
Not necessarily, people have been recording these for a while because there’s so much Disney nostalgia. For example I used to own a copy on a DVD that I bought off eBay many years ago.
From the title and description, I guess the uploader packed a DVR-like device with them to the resort and use that to capture the feed directly from the TV cable inside each room.
I remember loving this promo so much!! It gets me excited to actually go into these parks every time I see it back in the day. I also love the music used in this. And I always wanted to know each track. (I know Illuminations from Epcot)
Loved watching this as a kid (I was in 3rd-4th grade at the time), these are part of my disney memories and I have loved getting to watch them again through youtube
Those fun Paper Crafts segments and that upbeat music "It's a Zip-a-dee-doo-dah! Tip for Today!" hits my Nostalgia bone so much. When I think of the times I had the luxury of staying at a Disney Resort this is apart of my memories. The Resort TV being the default station on the TVs playing as you enter the room for the first time as part of the warm welcome or simply checking out the weather or tips in the morning when you turn on the TV. I also have fond nostalgia memories of 2005's May-December the Top 7 Must Sees playing at the bus stations back when I was a CP CM at DTD during that time and the La Nouba commercial.
Absolutely! I loved the paper craft segments, especially the Cinderella castle. I remember trying to catch that one over and over trying to see how they made the castle!
ResortTV1 and I just found out you have the channel for almost every year, ugh right in my childhood. I used to get to the hotel and immediately put this on, my family thought I was nuts.
Supposedly this video would be displayed at every hotel in the Orlando area and I can tell I saw this video during my lengthy stay at resort / timeshare /rental property in 2001 to 2004 (when hurricane Charlie almost destroyed the apartment resort I used to live!). What a 🎶Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah!🎶
Mannnnnnn.. take me back!!!! While we were on vacation, I’d wait for everyone to wake up while watching this every morning. I’m 31 now and I get to take my family on their first Disney trip this year. Hopefully my kids will have the same fond memories that I have.
This brings back memories of my young adult years when I was in college. I would always love touring the walt Disney world resort during the summer break.
+ResortTV1 Yep, slight difference from the lower quality one. That one doesn't have the 4 of the hosts, just the guy in the yellow shirt. I dunno if it's before or after the 2001. I believe the lower quality one you have is a 2002 one since it doesn't talk about the 100 years of Walt Disney celebration.
That may be true. I'm not sure how accurate I was about labeling the years on these. I didn't notice the thing about the four hosts earlier, but you're right.
+ResortTV1 Yeah, 2001 has the four of them, 2002 just has the one guy. Again, I was like 17 and 18 those years and didn't stay on Disney Property when we went down those years. (We didn't start staying on Disney Property until Pop Century opened up in 2003.) I did remember seeing SOME of one of them, again, it's been 15 years. - I believe it was the one with the single host.
+Fury283 It's all a little fuzzy for me too! I didn't think I had 2002, but that's cool if I do. What I really miss is the "Your Next Disney Vacation Channel" from around the years 2000 and 2001.
Why couldn't disneyland back in the day have been THIS comprehensive: I mean this loop not only shows the parks, but the arcade games on Disney quest, the clubbing experiences, water parks, golf courses and sports experiences. They've basically covered everything someone could possibly like and disneyland just feels like a cut down version of this.
2003 was my first trip to Disney World and this is what played on the tv. Oddly enough we weren’t staying on property. But the “Zip a Dee Doo Da” tune lives rent free in my head to this day
Ah, this brings me so many memories. This is by far the best WDW Resort TV show in my opinion- so much better than the one today with Stacy (I think that's her name). That one is just meh. I know it's way outdated, but I still miss the old version so much!
I remember watching this when we stayed at the Caribbean Beach Resort that year. My son, just shy of 3 years old, tapped out after the claymation stopped.
This was the year my family went when I was a kid. I had a dog-earred guide of the parks and resorts that I just poured through for 6 months before we went. Can't wait to take my little girl now 😍
When I was a child in age 9 at Polynesian resort, I still remember watching this, I never knew & seen Star Wars ride in Disney before, I was so surprised they have it there.
A wonderful piece of Disney history. You can't experience half of these things now..gone. Yes the new Disney execs are bent on turning Walt's dream into a vacation nightmare. Hold on to your wallet and be prepared to stand in line...long long line and remember the magic.

I know people didn't like the Sorcerer's Hat at Hollywood Studios, but I actually kind of miss it. I have a lot of memories from walking around and under it.
Last time I was at Disney World was when they had this exact promo at my hotel room. Isn't it ironic how they have Zip A Dee Doo Dah as the theme which is from Song Of The South?
Can someone please tell me what's the name of the song being played in the background when they talk about Downtown Disney? It's been bugging me for years.
20:40 Did they really stick a guy dressed up as a park hopper ticket on the back of a safari car where any animals, including LIONs, can get as close as they want? That’s just hilarious to me.
ResortTV1 That’s what’s so different and great about Disney. They make special, natural fences so the immersion is not broken and continues the feeling of “anything can happen”.
ResortTV1 wow! It’s been driving me crazy trying to remember! If you have it that would be awesome! Love all you do and I’m so glad I found this channel ❤️
This would be River Country's final year of operations. The tourism crash in the wake of 9/11 ensured that the park would be unable to reach the capacity needed to justify operation costs.
Coming up from the pool and falling into bed for a nap with this playing in the background. Good times.
That’s my exact memory too!
This was probably my favorite part of the whole Disney World experience. I had memorized this whole thing. I miss these day.
This is super nostalgic 🥺 I was 4 and remember this so clearly!
I think 11-year-old me would've been perfectly content sitting in the air-conditioned hotel room watching this and The Weather Channel over and over all day.
@@Sanctimoniously Haha I caught the flu during a trip there once and that was pretty much my entire trip!
Sooooo much nostalgia!!!!! I’m 28 and remember watching this all day everyday in my hotel room when I visited!
I feel like this is the "old" Disney I'd like to experience now that I'm old enough to appreciate it 😊
Thank you so much for this service you've been doing! This is LITERALLY the preservation of history for Americas' future.
Juandiego Rodriguez Youre awesome
I vividly remember this from my childhood. The music and the claymation are permentaly imprinted in my mind. Thank you so much for sharing!
One of the most 00’s things I ever saw
I remember waking up and trying to wake my parents up with this!
+Hyopsodus Yes! Such a classic Resort TV loop.
Yes
This was on loop at the hotel we stayed at -- the Homewood Suites on International Drive!
I love this! I still wish disney was still like this! 😭❤️
Shame they've gon ultra-woke.
For real, the innocence of society has completely vanished. Nothing is catered towards children anymore.
Nostalgia at its finest.
Sidenote- always wondered how people got their hands on these videos to upload. Surely Disney guards these?
Not necessarily, people have been recording these for a while because there’s so much Disney nostalgia. For example I used to own a copy on a DVD that I bought off eBay many years ago.
From the title and description, I guess the uploader packed a DVR-like device with them to the resort and use that to capture the feed directly from the TV cable inside each room.
It's been 21 years since I visited Disney World when I was 10 years old and I remember this video.
I remember loving this promo so much!! It gets me excited to actually go into these parks every time I see it back in the day. I also love the music used in this. And I always wanted to know each track. (I know Illuminations from Epcot)
brings back memories when I stayed at all star resorts. would watch this on tv there.
Loved watching this as a kid (I was in 3rd-4th grade at the time), these are part of my disney memories and I have loved getting to watch them again through youtube
Man the nostalgia. I watch this anytime I'm having a bad day
Jan 1, 2001 was the start of the best Disney vacation of my life (of hundreds).
Very cool!
Those fun Paper Crafts segments and that upbeat music "It's a Zip-a-dee-doo-dah! Tip for Today!" hits my Nostalgia bone so much. WDW TV has changed its video loop many times through the years but this one was always my favorite
This video may just be a perfect representation of my childhood. The memories are real.
Awesome! It was a big part of my childhood too! :-)
ResortTV1 and I just found out you have the channel for almost every year, ugh right in my childhood. I used to get to the hotel and immediately put this on, my family thought I was nuts.
let the memories play
We went to WDW in May 2001 and man, I remember this well- the claymation and the Zip-i-dee-doo-dah Tip of the Day jingle
I remember watching this in Orlando at the resort my family and I were staying at. This brings back so many memories
Brings back memories from my childhood!

Man, I feel so old after rewatching this.
When I was a kid I looked forward to watching this whenever I got to go to WDW. Know I can watch it whenever I want.
IVE BEEN LOOKING FOR THIS FOREVER!!! ONE OF MY FIRST UA-cam VIDEOS EVER!!!
I remember this vividly. Waking up to it in the morning in 1/2001. Thanks for the memories Josh!
I keep watching these on repeat. I have so many warm, happy memories watching these in our room. Thank you so much for sharing!
The good times i had at Disney are nothing but a memory with everything Disney is going through nowadays. I miss the good times. 😢 :(
I remember watching this when I was little...
Man, I feel old...
Wow Josh that is a blast from the past. Thanks for the trip down memory lane.
This brings back memories of my young adult years when I was in college. I would always love touring the walt Disney world resort during the summer break.
Wow ! I remember this ! Thank you for uploading I miss those days
+Thomas Andersen Glad you enjoy it! This is one of my favorite loops.
Lil' T who doesn’t
This was my favorite of the promos. Hope they change it to something more like this soon!
My personal favorite Wdw tv series. Thanks!
Oh dang! This is one I watch all the time. :D
Glad to see it in higher quality!
+Fury283 I was super excited to find this file in my collection. I forgot I had captured it in super HQ.
+ResortTV1 Yep, slight difference from the lower quality one. That one doesn't have the 4 of the hosts, just the guy in the yellow shirt.

I love this so much and I actually still miss it. I even had a ringtone made out of it. I need to find that
Anybody wish we could go back to this...????
So awesome to watch! Wow how things have changed over the years! Love it!
This is classic stuff right here.
+Thrills On Wheels I agree! I really love this version of the Resort TV!
Thanks for posting this! What wonderful memories!
The quality of this video is excellent. My trip is on April 2017.
+Stephen Kostiak Thanks!
Stephen Kostiak how was it

They've basically covered everything someone could possibly like and disneyland just feels like a cut down version of this.
Wow, this video used to get us so hyped in the mornings when we were at the park
Thanks! It’s one of my favorite Resort TV Loops ever!

Lol. That's awesome! :-)
Happy 20 years for one of the best Resort Loops they ever made :D
Brings back so many memories!!!! Thanks for sharing !!!!!
This was the year my family went when I was a kid. I had a dog-earred guide of the parks and resorts that I just poured through for 6 months before we went. Can't wait to take my little girl now 😍
A gem is right!! A 4 park diamond of a gem! Yeah I know, too corny :) This video is like a favorite blanket.Thank you!
This is one of my favorites as well. Thanks!
When I was a child in age 9 at Polynesian resort, I still remember watching this, I never knew & seen Star Wars ride in Disney before, I was so surprised they have it there.
Super cool vintage video 😍 It’s so fun to watch 😃 I’m enjoying watching this video in the year 2021 🤩😃😄😀😄👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Childhood: Remastered in HD.
13:52 the space scene was from Horizons, which actually closed 2 years prior to this resort loop 😢
I wish that WDW would go back to a video like this for the 50th anniversary.
Me too...
I enjoy watching this video. Thanks for uploading! I love going to Disney World I always have a great time.
I love Walt Disney World Tour. It was fun! 🎵🎶♥️❤️💖💞🌈🌞🙂👍
Hey man, thanks again for the continued awesome content!
+DjTechnoid You're welcome! Glad you enjoy!
+ResortTV1 Try WDW Resort TV 2003 the final Tip for Today to Upload it.
Great Memories of Disney from 2001 !!!! Wish it was like this today !!!!!!
Favorite park to visit during this loop was between Epcot and Magic Kingdom!
Iger and chapek destroyed disney.... eisner is the man who brought disney back from the dead and saved it from going under.
Hopper Challenge - video 210
I love these Tip for Today videos.
Thank you for this...
I went to Disney's Hollywood studios and saw the original playhouse Disney live on stage and it was my favorite live show
A wonderful piece of Disney history. You can't experience half of these things now..gone. Yes the new Disney execs are bent on turning Walt's dream into a vacation nightmare. Hold on to your wallet and be prepared to stand in line...long long line and remember the magic.
This is all I watched when in my room
I put this on today solely for the reason of hearing the Splash Mountain bit, because I'm feeling a bit melancholy about the whole situation.
The backlot tour at Disney’s Hollywood Studios is a thing of the past now.
And so are the Streets of America...
Ahhhh, nostalgia

It will be finished soon! and i will list even more!
+Maddox Cox Awesome!
Finished!
Any chance you know what the song is playing during the Downtown Disney bit?
I know people didn't like the Sorcerer's Hat at Hollywood Studios, but I actually kind of miss it. I have a lot of memories from walking around and under it.
Nice memories. Are you going to record WDW Resort TV 2002 | Tip for Today | Best Quality Direct Capture?
We loved the hat
I use to watch this show at disney world back in 2003
i always say this was far superior than Top Seven / Must Do Disney / Stacey
“Disney’s THREE water parks and pleasure island” :(((((
Gemma Sanchez She’s right, Pleasure Island was at Downtown Disney
Two water parks now... River Country is now being turned into a DVC resort.
And Downtown Disney is now Disney Springs.
i love it
Someone should recreate this for the current attractions.
Last time I was at Disney World was when they had this exact promo at my hotel room. Isn't it ironic how they have Zip A Dee Doo Dah as the theme which is from Song Of The South?
The memories
+TJ Polo For sure.
What do you suppose the names of the guides in this video loop are? I'd particularly like to know the name of the yellow shirt man.
Can someone please tell me what's the name of the song being played in the background when they talk about Downtown Disney? It's been bugging me for years.
I remember the yellow park hopper ticket. I always called him Mr. Cheese because he looked more like cheese than a ticket
Ah I remember this
8:28. I love that intro score of A Dream is Wish Your Heart Makes. Does anyone have a link if possible to a video of it?
I'm trying to find the music playing during the Downtown Disney bit.
20:40 Did they really stick a guy dressed up as a park hopper ticket on the back of a safari car where any animals, including LIONs, can get as close as they want? That’s just hilarious to me.
Yep... Although, the Lions are on the other side of a big ravine, so they technically can't approach the vehicles at all. :-)
ResortTV1 That’s what’s so different and great about Disney. They make special, natural fences so the immersion is not broken and continues the feeling of “anything can happen”.
Absolutely!! Great point!
TheSawyer24 & animals in cages
Michelle Trachtenberg look-a-like at 1:47 she played Penny on Inspector Gadget (1999)
My next vacation to Walt Disney World Resort is Spring 2018.
+Stephen Kostiak Nice!
How was your vacation?
Stephen Kostiak how was it
Awesome! Something about this reminds me of my first trip in October 1998, does anyone know if any parts of it were from then?
Yes. This video was around in 1998 too. I think I have the 1998 version on my channel somewhere If not, I can upload it sometime.
ResortTV1 wow! It’s been driving me crazy trying to remember! If you have it that would be awesome! Love all you do and I’m so glad I found this channel ❤️
Remember the magic
It is so a product of the 90's
+Fun Disney Fan Yep. That's why I love it! :-)
This would be River Country's final year of operations. The tourism crash in the wake of 9/11 ensured that the park would be unable to reach the capacity needed to justify operation costs.
anybody know the name of the guy in the yellow shirt?
Hey, fellow Defunctland follower! I am also on the hunt...
La Nouba and Disney Quest are things of the past now.
La Nouba is still there until the end of the month.
Tiff Prendergast An original Cirque du Soleil show will take the place of La Nouba.
Stephen Kostiak boo
Spoodles reminds me of the server Rusty who was entertaining
Which animation studio did that Claymation?
