Noo, a good father never ever wants something in return from their children. The only thing that makes a good father happier than the car of his dreams is to see his children happy.
Chris, You made me cry. I am a proud father of two daughters, but I couldn’t gift my father the way you gifted your father. Lucky are you. Keep doing videos, they are really useful.
That's exactly what I tought. Wish I'd have a family like that. This is something you do for granted while it should not. A big thumbs up from Ol' Europe
Yes but that's not a toy, it's for collectors, some models are really hard to find, for example I've been looking for an alfa 147 and an alfa 159, for years now I haven't found the right size to fit the rest of my alfa romeo collection (1/24).

I didn't cry but I got close. I lost my dad in 2019 and we never got to build the porch or make the hot rod we wanted to. Glad Chris and Mr. Fix got to share a moment
Wow, what a response time ! Just want to let you know I found your channel a while ago but didn't have a car to work on yet. About a year ago I bought an 18 year old BMW E46 to a complete scam of a garage. The car looked fantastic from the outside but the garage had cleared the codes on the dashboard right before giving me the keys and I didn't know what clues to look for when buying my first car... Shortly after buying it, I got a quote from BMW to get it back in decent conditions (3000 euros). I never meant for this car to become a project car but it did. Your videos are the reason I got the motivation to start learing how to fix this car. I'm almost done getting my now favourite car into amazing shape for about 800 euros (including buying the tools). And that doesn't even count the money my dad could save when I started doing all the maintenance of his Saab 95. From the bottom of my heart, thank you so much for all your work, for saving me from bank ruptcy and giving me one of the most rewarding hobby I ever had !
Yeah! What a setup! He was actually praising the model, how the doors open and all that! Apparently a simple man. Doesn't take too much to make him happy.
This is the second time he gifted cars to his parents, I said parents cause they both got their dream cars thx to Chris. He bought a Ford Thunderbird with limited edition for his mom.

How many likes do we have to give u for a face revel??? Even tho if u look at his old old videos u candy see his face when he tints his windows for his truck
Thanks. Much appreciated. He was the first person in his family to graduate from high school. He went on to put in 80 hours past his master's degree of further education. He was a career-long public school educator and administrator, athletic coach, community anchor, and family rock. But, he wasn't a DIY guy. It just wasn't his thing. However, it is my thing. I buy nothing new. Cars, dirt bikes, street bikes, household appliances, power tools, welders, and anything else, in great shape, but used. I also hold out for the absolute minimal cost. Dad was always stunned at the unbelievable prices I paid for my finds. At every phone call, he'd be dying to know about the latest acquisition. It's not like I have to buy used (high-end IT career), I just can't stand the unnecessary waste in addition to the challenge to get more for less. He really did beam when I would fill him in on the most recent score. This whole last year, every single time I uncovered a new dirt-cheap find, I'd think, "He's gonna love this one." Then, I'd catch myself... I really can't complain. Very few have someone in their life like my Dad. But, damned if I don't miss him terribly.
This is just beautiful. Youre an amazing person and a great son. You nor your dad will ever forget this. He did a great job raising you and seems like a great guy himself. Family is everything.
This is a really heartwarming video Chris, I want to be able to do something like this for my parents one day. I can't imagine how proud your Dad must be
Your dad's reaction speaks volumes to how much love is shared within your family. I definitely teared up a bit. I'm not in a position to do this for my dad and I'm not sure I ever will be, but maybe because of all the money I've been saving doing my own car maintenance (thanks Chris), I'll be able to get my dad his dream car one day.
When I sold high-end autos, and dealt with after-market warranties, the only brand, and I mean ONLY brand that I could NOT sell a warranty on, in any shape or form, was a Maserati. Still, very sweet gesture, and as long as he's willing to work on it, it'll be great.
This meant the world to me and i couldn't imagine how it meant to your dad. I'm 30 years old and lost my father when i was 13. Seeing your father show tears of joy made me cry. I'm happy for you, your father, and family on everything you've achieved and accomplished. You're a great person and your channel has helped me and my friends out so much. Keep on moving forward. Take care my friend.
1965 to 1974 Chevy Belair/ Impala. 2 or 4 door any color V8 .could even have surface rust ( im not picky) just would love to have a car I grew up with that I could work on again lol. Great video ! Your Dad is amazing ! Thanks Chris
When Chris father saw the car he knew exactly what Chris did and he got sooo proud and got emotional. It's rare seeing true emotions on a recording video.
Absolutely best video ever. I’m a son and a father myself and can only imagine the joy from both you and your father, your a beast and a legend! God bless
I've lost my Dad couple of years ago and wish I could do the same for him. I was touched how you successfully surprised ur Dad and how this video moved me. Watching always from the Philippines Sir Chris! Salamat!
This. My dad has always been a fan of 69 Chargers, and Mustangs. They're just so expensive I'd love to be able to get him one, just dont know if I could ever do it in this lifetime.. :'(
I recently lost my father. The ending here made me tear up, but yeah, excellent of you to do this for your dad. I wish I had the time to do anything close to this for mine.
Am so sorry for your recent loss. The 'american way of grief' is nonexistent. We are each left without comfort, without rituals. Just a 'sorry,' and then let you go on . . Grief is personal, just as unique as your father who sadly left this earth. Please know that I hear your grief.
You don’t need to buy your father anything to “do the same thing I did”, you just need to make him proud and I’m sure you made him proud and continue to make him proud!
I feel you man, i recently lost my mom and im only 16, i feel your pain but you have to keep your head up and move forward. There are 2 ways of dealing with something like this, you either let it take you over, like one of my dad's friends who lost his daughter and went crazy, or you can learn to live with it because trust me, you never get over it, but you learn to live with it as a part of you.
Dude. That moment your dad saw the real one, I'm crying man. I can't wait to do something like this with my old man. He's ALWAYS been there, especially when I needed him the most.
good job man, seeing your dads reaction made me tear up for a sec, i lost both my parents 3 yrs ago. Spend all the time you can with the people that are worth spending your time with as life's short. Too short !!!

When he turned around and started to cry. Man I tell you someone must of been cutting onions man. Nothing more beautiful.
I lost my Dad in January of 2019... I miss that great man.
Very nice gesture and a very nice video.
Russell Stephan thanks Russel and sorry to hear that! I can’t even imagine.
Russell Stephan my condolences.
Russell Stephan I’m sure he loved every single one and is watching all the finds you have now. My condolences to you and your family
I'm sure he was a great man. Sorry dude.
This is just beautiful. Youre an amazing person and a great son. You nor your dad will ever forget this. He did a great job raising you and seems like a great guy himself. Family is everything.

Your dad's reaction speaks volumes to how much love is shared within your family. I definitely teared up a bit. Am so sorry for your recent loss. The 'american way of grief' is nonexistent. We are each left without comfort, without rituals. Just a 'sorry,' and then let you go on . . Grief is personal, just as unique as your father who sadly left this earth. Please know that I hear your grief.
I wish i could do this to my dad once. Hopefully ill be able to buy him his dream car

You can't beat that feeling when you do something so special for dad.
