How to fix a botched smartkey rekeying. Put the new key in, and withdraw it slowly while jiggling it until it turns the lock. Then rekey, making sure to fully insert key.
Thank you for keeping it short and to the point. I wiggled the key as instructed and the key eventually turned! I then inserted the Smart Key tool and was able to reset the lock. I seen a lot of other videos where they take the whole lock apart in order to reset the middle piece and I was really dreading having to do that.
